It’s been a few months since I last used my Cricut. You said in this video that the hardest part of any project is just getting started. SO TRUE! With this project, it was the ONLY hard part! Your pattern was ready to cut and assemble with no hassle at all. I made the “Give Thanks” pumpkin and will use it as a hostess give for a Thanksgiving event I will attend. Thank you so much💕💕💕💕
I swear woman… you totally outdo yourself. The things you create are amazing. Your instructions are always so clear to understand. I absolutely LOVE your videos…. God bless you!
Good Morning everyone. Cannot say enough about our amazing teach Jennifer. She explains so much and so effectively. I for one am always looking for way to save on how much material are used and I tend to do a log of rearranging. Thank you for showing us how you do that. What I wanted to provide to everyone was that I do my rearranging within design space. I group and attach so when i go to do the project a second time everything is set for minimizing materials. Just wanted to provide some additional thoughts to the group.
i just made my first one of these, personalized it for a family and will be making more of them! thank you so much for explaining things so well, and for showing how to customize and for providing the extra leaves and vines. your videos are always so helpful and encouraging. i am so excited for the Maker Academy Weekend! thank you again for sharing with us and helping us to be brave!
I’m making these now and they’re SUPER EASY and cute! I know you said use what you have, but I do recommend using heavier paper to make them a bit sturdier. I used lightweight construction paper and it worked, but they’re a bit flimsy.
I am making these as centerpieces for my sister's fall themed baby shower. I used cream instead of orange and craft brown instead of green. For the defuse panel I used a tissue paper that had a flower pattern printed in gold. Using the open panels for the pumpkin made the cutting process much faster since I was making so many. I did glue the tissue paper with a glue stick since it isn't as ridged as copy paper. They are beautiful. Thank you so much for the amazing free cut file, I am new to using my cricut and could not have done this without you!!!!
I am thinking about making these for the same reason. My 1st grandchild is having my 1st great grandchild in Jan but baby shower is in 2 wks. I wonder if they would look cute in pink & white.
@@gramaof41962 Congrats on your first great grandchild. I think the possibilities are endless. Are you thinking of using pink as the defuser panel or alternating white and pink cardstock panels? Either could be cute. I personally I would like a pale pink if mixing it with white. I will say using the open pumpkin panel made this process so much faster, and you can find beautiful printed designs to use for the defuser panel. An other idea would be to make the pumpkin lantern white and then use a pink light inside. I am sure they will be beautiful whatever you decide.
I found that if I use the "Intricate cuts for cardstock" setting the small pieces weed so much easier! As always, the tutorial video is excellent and I appreciate Jennifer's concern for making the best use of materials, thereby reducing waste.
I just like watching your videos! You explain everything in them and youe step by step instructions are great. i also love that you give the file to us to make the projects ourselfs. Thank you for all you do.
Jennifer, you have inspired me so much that I have already made four lanterns. I used vellum as diffusers and this added a beautiful aspect to the pumpkins. I will be gifting some of these to special people this fall! You are amazing, and thank you for sharing these.
1:00AM est PA Hi I just finished making my first pumpkin lantern and it came out outstanding thanks to your wonderful direction I followed them exactly!! I’ll be making more definitely for gifts for my family and friends. It just so happened that I had two of the lights in my stash but I’ll be ordering more that’s what really makes them and I used vellum. Cricut doesn’t have a setting for vellum in the material. And I forgot to set tools I have a maker and have all the tools but didn’t even need them. This is a fantastic craft for my craft group the ladies will love it and it’s so easy and fun!!
I have a maker Cricut. The one issue too was I couldn’t use any of my tools single or double scoring wheels. It worked out fine with out using them but since I paid for them it would be nice to use them.
I used to pain stakingly cut out designs on real pumpkins, then I went to faux pumpkins, but this seems like an easier thing to store and still be beautiful year after year. Thanks!
These are so beautiful. So creative! You are so right the hardest part of crafting is getting started. With all your videos it helps with that step! Thank you! ❤
Jennifer, you do great work! So unique and beautiful! And made out of paper, absolutely awesome!❤ As always, Jennifer, thank you for sharing all of your hard work, creativity, talent, and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊🍁

Perfect timing for our pumpkin decorating contest at work. The theme was beauty and the beast
We made them bigger. Cut them out of 110# cardstock. Them put beauty and the beast stained glass prints in for defuser panels
They are so cute and I love the way you explained everything.

Mine does? If you have a dial on yours turn it to custom, then type in vellum. It should be in there. Also in PA here. :D
I have a maker Cricut. The one issue too was I couldn’t use any of my tools single or double scoring wheels. It worked out fine with out using them but since I paid for them it would be nice to use them.
