You have to be careful when performing this surgery, since the leg is also the location of the Sciatic Nerve. This is the most sensitive nerve in the human body, and putting any kind of pressure on it can cause pain so intense you could barely even think
My dad got in an accident years ago and never bothered to check on his hip. He slowly developed a limp that got worse with time, and it was causd by a pain in his hip that had unbeknownst to him, gotten damaged. Iâm almost 20 and my whole life Iâve never seen him walk straight. The cartilage around his hip has been eaten away by his limping and the injury. Heâs finally getting his hip replacement this year, and Iâm so happy for him. Iâll show him this video too. This actually makes the whole procedure look really straightforward. Thanks Zack!
@@llovescake15actually you can, large amounts of pain that people experience are largely contributed to aging, as well as a poor/to active of a lifestyle that led them to that age ie permanent hunch coz they slouched to much or have messed up shoulders because they played football for a good 15+ years

@@stefanoferri9305 nope, youâre both wrong. Detectors can pick up on 90% of hip and knee replacements and they will trigger the machine. My mom has one and has to let TSA know every time.

Had this done at 26, 10 years after I was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. I can confidently say this was the greatest thing to happen to me (so far!) because when I was able to put full weight on my leg again, it was the first time in nearly my entire life at that point where I didnt feel pain in my hip/leg. Also sometimes they're ceramic, not always metal. Good vid though!
Hi, people like you are needed for research purposes. Itâs rather rare to have a patient who has replaced hip joint at this age, so your case can help with better understanding of how itâs acting afer all these years. So if itâs okay with you make sure to hit doctors and let them examine your prosthetic. Also consenting to post mortem research will be extremely helpful. Hope youâll do great!
@JaysonVanMeeteren When I was diagnosed, they had said that I would need a replacement in my 40's. Due to my own circumstances, it was expedited as my hip would pop out of its socket every time I would walk. Its tough because I've played lacrosse my whole life, but I've seen people ski and snowboard quite frequently after getting hips replaced (not exactly advised but hey ya gotta do what you love right?). I'd definitely talk to your doctor about your options. The hip isnt as impacted as your knees are so thats a bonus, but there's always options :)
@illusion5739 generally the risk is low when going in for an MRI. Of course theres always an inherent risk, but its like 99% safe. Havent had an MRI in years. Whenever i go to get my prosthesis checked out its just a regular X-ray
