Parking tickets are easy it's the Bill of Rights Act 1689. Section 2.12 specifically states "That all Grants and Promises of Fines and Forfeitures of particular persons before Conviction are illegal and void.". Enjoy guys And girl's 🎉
I must have about £3000 worth of these useless "Parking Charge Notice" letters in my drawer! Not enforcable by law and they never take you to court! Only ever pay a "Penalty Charge Notice" Great video by the way, show these cowboys up for what they are!
Typical that the cameras record your number at the entrance and exit, but they don’t record the fact that you couldn’t park.
With private parking companies don’t appeal just refuse to pay and invite them to settle the matter in court , they will either back down or fail to show up in court so it gets thrown out, either way you win
Private car parks with ANPR cameras are all operated by scammers in this way. The only way to deal with their "tickets" when you receive one is to put is straight in the shredder! Never respond to them and eventually they get bored of sending their threatening reminder letters.
I stayed just outside Falmouth but enjoyed a coffee sat on the quay in Falmouth each morning. Parked up with the dog and watched the sun rise, beautiful. Signage said charges up to 0000 then start again at 0800, so I would rock up about 0600 and make sure off before 8, 3 weeks later parking charge. Appealed stating the signage, appeal declined, went back 3 years later to find the sign had been replaced with a brand new one with overnight charges listed in the smaller print at the bottom. I haven’t paid the ticket and won’t be, this is 5 years later and a number of letters further on. Screw the robbing bastards
Thanks for the heads up. I’m staying in perranporth for a week this summer with my family & we always visit Falmouth amongst other places. It would certainly ruin our holiday if we was to get parking fines. 👍🏻
Keep a blanket in the boot and have it accidentally covering your numberplate when you leave if you think you may have a problem. Stop down the road and put it back in the boot.
I guess what you could do is, when you get to a carpark like this, stop somewhere convenient beforehand, cover your plates up and then go in. If they have spaces then park and take the covers off your car and pay 🤷♂️😆
Happened to me in Plymouth too ,council carpark, took my payment barrier wouldn't rise and had to go back and pay again,council was absolutely unhelpful. Ended up giving up and paying the extra,sadly this happens a lot all around the country,all carparks should go back to paying as you park not at the end, it was the brought in paying at the end just to rip off the public.
Praa sands in Cornwall has a lot of complaints as well of parking fines even though people have used the pay and display machine.
Great video alerting people to this carpark 👍.we parked here last year got back to the carpark in good time to pay but as far as I can remember there's only one payment machine with a massive queue all waiting to pay as everyone is waiting it slips into the next payment bracket costing everyone extra 🤬 I've since gone back to parking on marine drive for free looking down over the docks a bit further to walk but I'm in no rush . Just subscribed so really enjoying seeing your videos of familiar site's.
For those visiting and are reasonably mobile then there is restriction free parking not too far from that car park. Out of season you may find a spot on Avenue Road (on a hill) or at the top of that road, on Melvill Road. I normally end up with the task of climbing the hill to fetch the car 🙂

Rip off 😪 in our local town we get 2 hours free parking on a Saturday and Sundays are free but we don't have beaches 😔
I seem to remember hearing on Lawrence Reed, Radio Cornwall several years ago this was an issue even then at this car park.
Some car parks in Cornwall are terrible, swanpool beach is the same and many others. Just money making scams parading as legal businesses.
It's just not on Shaun....what a rip off 😠... I'd be fuming 😤. Thanks for letting us know about it...it will be avoided at all costs 🙏👍✊
