But there are good books nowadays which tell you everything about your cycle and the influence of hormones. Believe me…those freaking things have influence on your whole wellbeing.
There is treatment by the way. Doctors in the UK found out that every woman has her own balance of hormones. That’s why the standard OAC can give a lot of problems and side effects. Do your own research. Dr Louise Newman in UK has a lot of resources online that are free. On her Balance App or website she also has resources you can take into your own Doctor to help have that conversation and educate them. Most Doctors only get an hour or so of Menopause training however a lot of people are trying to help boost that now. Dr Mary Louise Haver in USA is another resource on Instagram and has a new book coming out. My opinion, you should not have to let nature take its course and you are entitled to restore the hormones you are losing if that helps with symptoms.

I went through menopause at 53. Very mild symptoms. If I had a heat flash it was easy just wear a tank top under your shirt usually just taking the shirt off for 5 minutes did the job. I am 60 years old now. I like to tell people you feel the way you felt before you were a teenager. Life is not all about trying to attract another person, if you are not already married . if you want to go fishing it's because you want to go fishing

That might be the case for you. I had hot flashes that I couldn’t control so when and wherever it happened is when it happened. Once, I was in a meeting with a commissioner. The sweet that poured off of me was like a cartoon. My hair was shocked through like I just got out of the shower. My glasses were fogged up so bad, I couldn’t see out of them. He finally asked me if I was ok and was truly concerned. I told him I was having a hot flash from menopause and needed a minute. Sounds like you were pretty lucky. I know the hot from teen years you speak of and I guess it’s kinda like that but multiply that by 50 in my case. I hate it when other people downplay others’ symptoms as if it’s cookie cutter.

The experts got close to mention some of the symptoms but left out very important details & brushed off what they did mention with what they claim are simple solutions to "fixing" those issues. The reality is far worse in some women & absolutely devasting. Once some of the serious, life changing symptoms occur there is nothing that can fix it, at best minor relief which is only temporary. Unless I missed it they never mentioned HRT. It is so, so important that women get their hormone levels checked & take HRT. If they've had hysterectomies which removed 1 get your levels checked yearly,if not 6 monthly. If both were removed, do not stop HRT, even if you think you will be passed the menopause phase - which is where I went wrong. No one ever warned me, not even the specialist, that what has occurred could ever happen. I became suicidal because I couldnt cope with being in pain, discomfort 24hours a day. It hurts to walk, it hurts to sit, it hurts sleeping, it hurts when even the softest fabrics touch, there is no way to feel comfortable.
