    "SHAVING"
Traditional or classic shaving, also known as wet shaving is a topic, which people with orientation are often very enthusiastic about. They preach about shaving with such devotion, that the listener starts to doubt it must be too good to be true. However, the mandatory beard removing ritual can be so pleasant and enjoyable, that in many cases it becomes a serious hobby.
Worst thing to happen in traditional shaving is not that you hurt yourself, but not even to try! The fear for the blade is unnecessary, because the small cuts that might occur in the beginning are easy to take care with an alum block. And that Tarzan-like feeling you get, once you get started, makes you forget all the horrendous scenarios that you had beforehand.
Razor - Shaving result with these traditional two sided blades is better than with the multi blade shredders from markets. It’s common to start with more safe and secure closed comb razors, where the blade is a little bit more hidden. But after the shaving skills being improved, it is easy to move to instruments with more precised shaving result. Majority of wet shavers use razors only and why not, because razors with one blade are just great.
Straight razor - fancy and dangerous looking gadgets but in skilled hands they get the shaver in such nirvana, that one wouldn’t like to stop, but the facial hair just runs out. They require sharpening and good maintenance, but last from generation to generation.
Shavette - Replaceable blade straight razor usually used by barbers. These will get you close to the real cut-throat shave experience. Doesn’t require maintenance like straight razor as the blade can be replaced once it gets blunt.
Pre-shave lotion or oil - Apply on the area to be shaved before the actual shaving cream to get the skin moisturized and pliable. Super sharp blade glides smoothly on prepared and elastic skin and won’t get stuck on uneven spots like on a dry skin, which is very often the case with current shaving methods. This is not mandatory, but adds the pleasure of shaving and especially when using different kinds of razors.
Shaving brush - commonly used to prepare and apply shaving cream. Brush distributes the cream evenly on the skin and around the beard and lifts facial hair up. Shaving brushes are usually made out of natural hair from badger, wild boar, horse or a mix of these. But also synthetic brushes are available.
Shaving soap - Shaving cream is being prepared out of shaving soap, which come either in hard or creme form, but there is also a croap, that is something in the between. However the end result is the same with all of these: enjoyable, pleasant smelling and skin protecting shaving cream that helps to get the beard shaved.
Alum block - Old time after shave, that protects and disinfects the skin and seals the small wounds and scratches. Is being used before electric shavers or after a razor. Can also be used as a deo stick.
Aftershave - Shaving is being finished with an after shave product, that restores the natural moisture of skin and gives it a pleasant feeling. Aftershave lotions might irritate the skin in the beginning, so an aftershave balm might be a more comfortable option.

you'll get a better result in loading the bristles if you bloom the soap a bit (soak the top in hot water for like five minutes).
