    Good ol' Dave's Lush Weiner. Does the HOF have a truly convincing spring sound that could sub for the tank in a Deluxe Reverb?

    • @fivewattworld
      @fivewattworld  Před 5 lety +2

      There is a Reverb that Robben Ford developed that he used on the road instead of the tanks in the back line amps but also as the main verb with his Dumble that’s pretty nice but subtle.

    • @AlexHand
      @AlexHand Před 5 lety +1

      Ok but nothing you’d personally say cops that sound convincingly? I like the Deluxe Reverb/Twin because of the way the amp works with the tank and sounds like an acoustic instrument with a resonating chamber on rev level 2-4. I’d like to find a pedal that nails that effect, because I’m not super blown away by the sound of the amps with the reverb off, which makes me think I could probably use a much lighter solid state amp if I could get that reverb sound externally.

    • @braddietzmusic2429
      @braddietzmusic2429 Před 5 lety

      The best way to determine “truly convincing” or “truly convincing enough” is going to be were you literally A/B the spring Reverb to in your Deluxe Reverb against not only the pedal and it’s presets, but also any editing adjustments you may make to the Toneprints. I think the surety that your looking for in the purchase of the product will only be verified or disproven.... ironically only after you’ve had the pedal for a long time and had a chance to explore and fully flesh out it’s almost endless reverb options. Go buy it. Take a chance. I don’t think you’ll regret it, “truly convincing” spring sound or not.

It felt like public radio from when I was a kid where Charles Haas would pronounce all the composers names with the accent of that home language/country. We're so funny about foreign languages here in the US. We're almost embarrassed of knowing something of another language. Our immigrant past I think.
      Well have to go study my languages, appropriately enough.

    Jesus christ this pedal sounds absolutely terrible. Did people actually think this was good reverb 6 years ago? But Strymon’s Big Sky is even older and sounds a lot better still. These TC mini pedals have a really weak, muffled, THIN sound, the complete opposite of the lush, magical reverbs you get from Strymon, Meris, UA, Fractal etc. Maybe there’s a reason they’re so cheap and look like tiny plastic toys. Love this channel but holy crap this was bad!
