- The Pearl Roadshow is a staple kit for beginners, but is that still the case? Myles takes a closer look to see just how good they really are.

The drums are good for any skill level. They are just an affordable shell kit. You don't need $4,000 drum shells...just $4,000 cymbals😜
Yeah the Roadshow drum sets still hold up to this day. I have the wine red 4 piece combo.

Road show / how many crappy drum sets does pearl need to make?
Same but I have problem with 10" tom 😅
@@stevenfederico2594with a better pair of heads and some tuning they're not terrible.. but they're definitely not the best either.
Nice, thanks for the overview. Though I can tell you have upgraded heads and cymbals going on which undoubtedly sound better than the stock ones.
If you order from gear 4 music they give you solar symbols instead of the ones that sound crap im not sure if the head has been changed
Those cymbals are trash, you can tell he's trying harder than an Olympic runner on the final stretch to get a response from the bell on the ride, it's just a good drummer who has the kit tuned properly. Not bad like you said especially for the money,I'm just trying to decide if he is very tall or if the drums are just very very small.
Those are stock heads.
@@ragefromwithin74the channel replied to someone else saying the drummer is 6'6 so that answers your question lol
Very nice video! Thank you for the information.
Finally someone make cheap snare drum sounds good
Well, stay tuned in August for a video that'll help you get your snare popping too! 👀
Serious question-- for the demonstrator: Did the kick drum sound much like that in the room at the time, or is that a trick of the microphone set up? It's guttural and rad and I want to copy it.
Great review. What is the footprint of this kit? I've got a pretty small space I'm hoping to fit it into, but hard to judge just from watching videos.
Thanks for the kind words, Dustin! It will depend on your set up/cymbal angles/seated distance from the kit etc. For reference, the rug beneath is 1.85m x 1.6m and the player is 6ft 6''. Hope this helps and happy drumming!
@@Gear4musicdrums I'm gonna be honest with you, but in another review this is a direct quote as follows " It's Jeffy

While the cymbals are (predictably) terrible, -the fact that Pearl offers a one up/two down configuration in real sizes (12/14/16) instead of the standard 10/12/16 at that price point is awesome-
Are the cymbals bad?
@@benadams1661 usually every standard kit will include alright cymbals. It’s best to just buy better ones unless you’re fine with saving money and using the stock ones.
Well this one sounds different from sweetwater demo. They don't come with cymbals either. But I am thinking hard about getting the Yamaha stage custom what is your advice on that??
Buy the Yamaha Stage Custom! Soooooooo much better in quality and sound. The Stage Custom can take you a loooooong way.
I love these detailed reviews of crap ass drums
