How Hard is it to Beat Borderlands 3 With Only Unique Gear?

- I'm sorry this took the whole month to make, January has been a month, that's for sure, but here is the run I've been working on: Borderlands 3 with Only Unique Gear! This run was very interesting, as most uniques are legendary rarity in this game, so I wanted to use non-legendary gear, significantly reducing my gear options. I know I missed a lot of gear, and for some (like the early missions in Promethea for the shields), but besides the gear I didn't need, it was usually me just not knowing or forgetting.
Besides that, this run was pretty fun, especially using the Fungus AMONG US and all the other fun weapons I would not normally use. This was my 3rd time playing Fl4k, and I'm still not a huge fan of him late-game, but he is very fun early game.
I also need to learn the save editor a bit more so I can skip Angels and Speed Demons next time, as the driving section sucks. I don't think I get the XP if I skip it, but it would still be interesting to do. - Hry

not gonna lie cant wait for the unique only for DLC. also btw there is a gun obtained from a mission after the main story of guns love and tentacles called the firecracker and it is REALLY powerful. its a Hyperion shotgun that shoots incendiary fireworks.
Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, but this run was only for the base game. The DLCs don't have enough unqiues to justify all the time and effort I would need to put into making that video. However, I have another run that I'm working on in another game that I'm hoping to release in between this video and the TTWL run.
i also think items such as the love leopard(blue unique wonderlands launcher) may only appear in the vendor if you do the optional objectives required to get it since the quest you get it from also has another unique. yet i don't know, but if you do the quest "non-violent offender" and the correct optional objectives you'll get both quest rewards.
Thanks, I always forget that missions can have items locked behind side objectives (the plug being the best example) so I'll have to double check the missions for this run.
@LookIntoGaming main story quests along give uniques in fact its the first source of a unique of the run. I think you might be able to get the goblin repellant before zombies I don't know tho I might test it out.
That is one of the nice things about TTWL, though I actually enjoy the missions in this game too. Another bonus is the unique class mod you get from the story.
The reason why you could use the Big Succ underleveled is because it's a mission item. Iirc you're meant to use its grenades in order to knock down some cacti in the mission.
I didn't really expect to be able to use it while under-leveled. But recently I've learnt that mission weapons scale to your level when you equip them. Apparently, it's possible to get the Grog Nozzle at like lvl 7, and it's kind of awesome.

It is always fun to try these runs yourself! This was medium difficulty, and I heavily recommend it!

Hey I’m trying to become a streamer myself how do you put that overlay counter on the top left and can you see it yourself or just the viewers
It's visible to both viewers and me, and for the text, I used 2 text sources in OBS/Streamlabs, one for the text, and one for the number. I set the numbers to read from files, and (here's the most important part) I use an Elgato Stream Deck with BarRaider's Stream Counter, which saves the number to a file, which goes to the text source. There are likely other ways to do this, but I found just buying a Stream Deck to be the best choice.
Hangin Chad is my fav unique :)
I would say my favorite is the Redistributor, but the unique version doesn't work with Zane's shield like the legendary version, so I'm still searching for my favorite, but the Hangin Chad was super fun to use!
shame you missed out on Pa´s rifle, similair to the traitors death but its shock instead. you get it from the homestead mission chain.
I would have done the Homestead missions, but it's too long of a mission chain to justify the reward. I will check that weapon out sometime then.
I also encountered the VOID in my uniques only playthrough :O
That's a very interesting coincidence. Now I'm even more curious as to why it happens.

You should have gotten the moxi weapons they are really good and could have carried you through the game as there is no limit of how many you get and always match your level and there is also a inf money glitch with them
I honestly didn't know Moxxi guns were in the game before reading these comments. I should have figured, but it didn't cross my mind.
I’m curious did you know about the unique sniper rifle called the ice queen from Aurelia?
I did not, or I just forgot about it. It seems interesting, but I don't think I've ever used it.
@@LookIntoGaming while I don’t exactly use specific builds, I do enjoy using it, freezes targets well, can split into 2 or 3 projectiles (don’t remember exact amount) each and every crit, can freeze other enemies surrounding the initial target(s) thanks to that small explosive like aoe it’s, either way it’s fun to use, though it may or not be unanointable as I don’t recall finding an anointed example, and with that I hope it helps you if you do an snipers only BL3 run or if it’s for casuals sake. 😀👍
I looked it up, and I would use it for a casual run because it's great for freezing thanks to the 2 ricochet bullets on crit. But more importantly, you've now got me interested in doing snipers-only BL3.

Also did you know there a fire grenade in the shape of a Molotov cocktail found in the mail called the Burning Summit that you can get if you use the machine used in the Sellout mission in Eden 6 roughly ten times?
I did not know about that. I feel like there's still a ton of random gear I've never heard about in BL3, but I will have to check that grenade out next time I play.
I think you should use zane/operator for clones,survivability and the grenades get a buff i think and u get a second ability replacing the grenades
In these two BL3 runs I wanted to try the two characters I don't play. That, and some people don't like seeing Zane or Moze in these challenges, because of how broken they are.

Why didn’t you get the moxxie weapon

im like 99% sure that the hanging chad might have a thing where if you score crits it cools down
Since I was curious, I searched it up, and apparently it overheats after 999 shots, so basically, you never need to reload.
The parts without sound is really awkward.
It just happens, I run out of stuff to say sometimes.

BL3 is the easiest of all BL games, but this was my most difficult run of BL3, mostly due to me forgetting that some guns existed. Promethia and Athenas were the most difficult parts of the run, due to me not having good guns.
Why not use the hail or the crit
Probably because I forgot they exist in this game, just like Gwen's Extra Head, which I was planning to find as well.
