The problem is that so many CZcamsrs have started doing it (Rhett and Link, PewDiePie, MatPat, etc..) that soon every CZcamsr is going to have CZcams Red, and most people can't afford it. So when your favorite CZcamsrs are doing CZcams Red and not doing free videos that everybody can watch, they're doing CZcams Red videos, that only a handful of people can watch. So those without CZcams Red can't enjoy that CZcamsr's content

Very reasonable (a rare thing to see in YT comments). Seen a lot of people sticking up for Mat by replying to the complainers, but this is the first actual post I've seen explaining why he did what he did. To bad most people are just going to skip over it because they want drama, not logic. But you have one person who agrees here!

Why does everyone ever complain about MatPat using CZcams Red? It is HIS decision! It's not like he's not still doing his normal videos, he's doing extra! Mat isn't rich, you know. He needs money to do things. And YOU PERSONALLY do not need to see every video of his either!

BUT I am trying to point out that by insulting CZcams Red, and MatPat's Game Lab videos, we are being EXTREMELY disrespectful to MatPat himself. For a couple of reasons... First of all, Mat is trying to do SO MUCH! For his sake, and for ours! This is a GARGANTUAN task that he is undertaking and he is doing it for our enjoyment.
I understand that a lot of people are unable / unwilling to pay for CZcams Red... But you must realize that he is not slowing down Game Theory content! He is doing exactly what YOU subscribed for and so much more.
Whether or not you agree with what he is doing, try to see it from his perspective. Understand that this is the best option for him! The way the community has been reacting to this choice of his is making me sick. We are supposed to be a loving and supportive community, but all we are doing is tearing Mat down. There would be no downsides to this decision of his if everyone wouldn't complain so much.
In summary...
If you don't agree with Mat's decision. That is okay! But do not try to change his choices. It is his life and his content. Just tip your hat to Mat, show a little respect, maybe sniffle a little bit if you can't watch CZcams Red, and go watch some GT!
