    • @dylanbaxter8071
      @dylanbaxter8071 Před 5 lety +295

      Actually they did. They wondered where he had gone because he was usually around doing pranks and whatnot. And even though he didn't tell the asgurdians what happen and what was he doing with a eight legged baby horse, but it was pretty obvoius what happen.

    • @VXMasterson
      @VXMasterson Před 5 lety +381

      I like to imagine it went like:
      Odin: “Hey Loki, it’s been like a year since anyone’s seen y- what’s with the eight-legged horse?”
      Loki: “DON’T QUESTION IT”

    • @WickedPrince3D
      @WickedPrince3D Před 5 lety +173

      In the myths it was fairly common for the gods to laughingly call Loki "Sliepnir's Mother" - even though Loki refused to divulge where Sliepnir came from. BTW: Sliepnir had 8 legs because in Norse tradition four men - with eight legs - carried a dead man to his burial or burning. Odin would send the Valkyries to gather dead heroes to his side so he could build an army to fight the Giants and Monsters at Ragnarok - so he became a god of the dead. Thus he rode a horse that was representative of the last "mount" a man rode before he was burned or buried.

      When caught he is chained to a rock face by his deceased son’s intestines (he was mauled by the second son who was turned to a wolf by the aesir) then Skaði places a poisonous snake over his head and the snake drips poison in his head which causes great pain and makes him writhe in pain (which is the nordic explanation for earthquakes)

    12:52 In the story I heard, the giant had hidden the hammer eight miles in the earth so it couldn't be stolen back, so the other gods were actually considering it. Thor even begged/ordered Freya to get ready to marry. But Freya was enraged at this, gave him a good tounge-lashing, and said "You've lost your hammer eight miles down? Here's my advice: start digging!"
    Then she proceeded to thrash him with her golden necklace chain so feircely the other gods agreed to figure out another solution.

Vali was changed into a wolf by Odin when he found out Loki caused Balder’s death. He rippen out his brother’s guts, which were then used to bind Loki.

      Those are poorly-explained versions of the real myths, go read up on better versions. In mythology most of the myths are designed to explain some natural phenomena or something. In this case Sif's hair originally represented forest wild-growth that was burned by farmers to plant golden wheat. It wasn't Odin who sewed his mouth shut: it was the Dwarven King whose tribe got cheated out of their prize - it seems they REALLY hated Loki. That's an oddity because "Loki" is a variant of old Norse for "fire" which is a important metal-smith's tool.
