The multi-million-rand skate park in Kimberley is now a white elephant. The park which was meant to groom young skaters in the Northern Cape is now in ruins and those who are trying to prepare for the Olympics are stranded with nowhere to practice.
A product of the park - Olympian Boipelo Awuah - says the state of the park is hampering her attempts to prepare and qualify for next year's Olympics in France. Senior reporter, Ulrich Hendriks and video journalist, Lereko Motseko filed this report.
