Hi Josh…Remembering Sarah…so many wonderful memories pass through my mind from videos she shared. One in particular was just sounds of the ocean which Sarah loved. It is just a brief video however, It hits home with me as we have many ocean beaches here in Nova Scotia. I could listen to it all day long! If I find it, I will post it. How fast this year came, but when your missing someone you love, that's the way it goes, I found Sarah, after she found out she had cancer, but their was something special about her, and I had to keep watching, and watching her old videos, once you watched her you felt her, you knew how genuine, she really was, and how much she loved her family, but loved anybody, and everybody! I miss her, she truly is one of a kind!💜💜💜

I'm glad your family is ok. I found Sarah's videos a little over a year ago when I was diagnosed with skin cancer on my face. I watched a couple of her older videos and was really saddened to see the path melanoma took for her. She was so young. She should still be here, with a couple little scars like I have. Condolences.

❤❤Sarah ❤❤The one year hits hard. For me, it was such a time warp. I felt like I had been through a long war, but it also made no sense how it could be a year because he seemed like he was just there with us. Our death anniversary is Valentine's Day so I try to avoid the world that day.
I believe that if we only focus on the loss and grief we are defining the person who passed by that moment and not honoring all of them and their life. So I am so thrilled you are honoring her with a day of favorites and creating some new memories while also honoring what the kids need 💜

I am glad to see your post. I have lost a father and sister to cancer and as the years pass, the sting does dull but the memories stay strong. I do believe Sarah was an incredible and magical human and I am so glad you are cherishing her memories and honoring her in raising your children in the loving way that would make her proud! ❤

My family celebrated my mother’s birthday and death day, for more than ten years after her death. Why not? It’s still her birthday. I think we did it more for ourselves than her. The first year was very very difficult, but it helped us sooo much in our grief, probably more than anything else. Have a party for your wife, please. So very cathartic. We all love you.
