Thank you, Kent. In my experience: ceramic coating= paint; penetrant= rubber/plastic. I'll even apply a polymer shield on top of the ceramic a month later to further protect it, as after two years the ceramic becomes mottled if you look closely in certain lighting. Also, I've been using your chip brushes and acid brushes for applying protectants you've recommended, and just a word of caution--I wrap the metal ferrule 2-3 times with masking tape, as it can easily scratch the paint.
