The Grand Mosque of Rome, Italy Tour | 4K

I was visiting Rome and looking for a mosque close to central Rome for Fridays prayers.
Whilst searching I came across The Grand Mosque and considering it’s size & grandeur I'd never heard of it before.
It's a very easy journey from the centre of Rome, take the metro from Termini (4 stops) or from Republica (3stops) to Flaminio and then take the train (3 stops) to Campi Sportivi.
Then it's just a 5 minute walk to the front entrance of the mosque.

Alhamdulillah, I visited the Rome National Mosque while exploring Rome - it is a beautiful mosque but many Muslims don't know this mosque exists. I must admit that I took the taxi ride to get here and then back to Central Rome. A lot of European cities have big masjids but Athens does not have a single masjid sadly. Been to masjids in Barcelona, Madrid, Malta, Seville and Lisbon.
Rome is my favourite city in Europe along with Seville, Lisbon and Barcelona but I loved Athens even though no official masjid there.

@@shahjhanhaider26 Are you aware that the Parthenon used to be a masjid? There are masjids in Greece because I went there (Rhodes, Crete etc) but surprising not one official masjid in Athens when I went there 6 to 7 years ago

@@Pakoraman I've been to Camlica Mosque when I went to the Asia side of Istanbul. Brother, I have been to many masjids around the world especially in the Arab speaking countries, Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius, Zanzibar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Turkey etc
Brother I have travelled to over 35 countries with half of them numerous times. If you get the chance, go to South East Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore etc) as there are amazing masjids in this particular region

I met the imam, during my visit in 2017. Weekdays we only pray at the small musallah within the mosque compleks. But we were lucky with Allah blessing to have private tour with the imam.

It does get very crowded on Eid days, almost reaches full capacity on eid prayer.

In 1974, the King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Faisal bin Abdulaziz, visited Italy and convinced its government to establish a mosque for Muslims. The Italian government donated a plot of land with an area of 20,000 square meters, and Saudi Arabia covered 70% of its construction costs, and the Kingdom of Morocco contributed to its construction costs as well.
It was opened in 1416 AH
Where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was represented at the time of the opening by King Salman bin Abdulaziz..
