I would actually love to see a Live action Star Wars horror series on Death Troopers or Red Harvest since I am a horror fan who enjoyed listing to the Audiobooks for both of them they were really good in my opinion
I think Death Troopers would be a better introduction, with Red Harvest being a prequel (like the Aliens franchise did). The iconic imperials being turned into zombies would catch more eyes than some random Sith.
It will be basically a sequel to Han Solo
Only problem is that Disney would never let that be made

The novel technically didn't had a good ending. It left out the fact that unlike the vector star destroyer, inoperablly stranded deep in space, the imperial prison barge parked beneath it is still operable, so if the zombies ever thought about transporting the blackwing liquid to sustain their consciousness into the prison barge, they can literally use the ship to travel the galaxy, dock on the first planets they see and start spreading the infection
That kinda reminds me of how the Flood from Halo are able to pilot vehicles and even ships
Well the hyper drive was damaged and the engines were at an breaking point thats why the entered the star destroyer to begin with.
Also dont forget that the zombies only can use stuff if they have seen it before. So that means that in order to control an large vessel like the purge they would need to see someone else do it. Regardless even if they knew the purge was as good as stranded out ther, barely able to make it to the star destroyer

@@robdouglass20initially it was the tractor beam pulling em in but once the purge had its own horde, they broke the engines to stop the survivors flying off
@abster168 the book never stated that the crew broke the engines. They where already breaking and found an abandoned star destroyer and docked with it no tractor beam was used either. They haled the star destroyers bridge tell them the engines are damaged and require immediately repairs to there engines and they are coming aboard.
This needs to be a movie!!!
This book was so good. The word play really immerses you in the horrors that surrounds the characters

The first one he was talking about it the sith sorcery is called "red harvest"
So Han once fought a legion of freaking zombies and yet years later is so utterly dismissive of a concept like The Force that he can't resist mocking Obi Wan and Luke?!?
Even funnier: when this was cannon, it was within a month of A New Hope

I mean, you have Mortis arc in TCW that later is barely mentioned. The arc itself is so.. uninterested in doing anything; Ahsoka just died, they all are on Magical world and their ship noclips out of ground and they look so unbothered, and then theres the daughter, beard guy and goth-drama queen, and twisted concept of balance that contradicts George's vision. And Anakin was even confirmed to be the Chosen one yet Kenobi questions him being one in ROTS; and whole thing was mentioned only twice: once in the show, and then Abeloth book memtions its events a little bit.
To be fair, the virus could at least be explained by an actual licensed doctor they had with them. Zombies? Not too complicated. Magic space wizards on the other hand...

How many apocalyptic scenarios happened in this galaxy? First there was IG-88's plan to upload his AI to the 2nd Death Star from Return of the Jedi and essentially becoming Skynet for the galaxy and now the results of A what if scenario, if George Lucas and George A. Romaro teamed up.

death troopers dont really feel like a huge threat because the empire has a huge laser that can destroy entire planets and they could easily end the story of the death troopers really quick
I remember seeing images of the book cover years ago in elementary school and being so freaked out about it, got obsessed with it, even made a custom Death Trooper Lego figure and did a shity little animation regarding it on another Channel I used to have, got my hands on the actual book in 2018 at last and Read it whilst also listening to the audio book and I was even more obsessed with it, really enjoyed the book and honestly I think I might get back into the topic of death Troopers and order a bunch of extra Stormtrooper Lego figures to make a death Troopers animation again

Honestly, I’ve always liked the Death Trooper concept because using that virus as a bio weapon MAKES SENSE on a galactic scale. It’s not like any zombie movie/game/show where it’s like “someone broke containment at this mansion and now the neighboring town is screwed. Soon… the world.” That’s the whole idea with this virus, make everyone on the planet deader. It makes perfect sense (for the empire) to drop this on a planet with no exports except rebels, park in orbit and shoot down anyone tries to leave. The hive mind and weapon usage is just icing on the cake.
Thing is that if the dead can telepathic each other doesn't that mean then they are being controlled by the undead sith lord that created it?
Mindless Undead wouldn't just work together to surround them and eat them most of all use weapons.

Great, so now there are zombies in starwars, it's a good thing they are isolated somewhere
I read the book. Eh…it annoyed me that solo and Chewbacca were in it. I was expecting the main characters to be imperial personnel trying to survive the ordeal. It just ends up being good guys fighting zombies and the imperials are just fodder.
Why do they have to shoehorn Han Solo into the story, the main Star Wars characters don’t have to be in every damn story and the Empire can be the protagonist on occasion.

Look up Star Wars death troopers book on google, it actually came out in 2009
