I start my lap by going left out of the trailhead to Moonscape cause I like to just jump into the gnar. As an alternate you could go to the right from the trailhead and start off with Gwazi berm, then hit moonscape at the end after Rollercoaster and Serpent.
Awesome video man! I just got a bike after not having one for about 8 years since I moved from Canada to Florida. Stoked to see there's nice trails down here, very excited to go ride over there and get back to it!
G g g g g get after it!
I live between both trail systems. Great video!
Love Alafia!!! Gotta hit Markham Park.
Excellent video. Making it look easy lol!
Iâve been at it for a long time!
bro, I really appreciate you posting this. I live in this general area and Iâm getting back into riding after taking a few years off for family. Your run really got me inspired. Iâm gonna grab my bike and get out there.
Glad to hear it! Get out there and ride!
Ufff so inmersive, love it
You convinced me I need to check out Alafia! Great video. Keep them coming đ€đŒ
It's a fun spot
@@coreymtb is there a hotel or campground nearby that you would recommend?
@@neaultboundaries109 There is a campground right at Alafia. You gotta book in advance. If you're gonna camp though, I 'd wait until December.
@@coreymtb thank you. yeah camping in Florida in the summer is really not my favorite thing to do! But Iâll look into it for next winter.
Great video of Alafia bro !!!
Such a fun trail in a land of no mountains
You ride that like I would on an ebike! Lol, I hope to be in that good of shape soon.
Start running. I also like OrangeTheory for training.
@@coreymtbWhat kind of running do you do bro? Long distance or sprints?
âDistanceâ with sprint intervals mixed in so 1mile at 6:15 pace, .5 mile at 5:45 pace, keep alternating like that. Always tying to spike my heart rate near 100% before coming back to 80%.
You rode on one of the bridges I helped my cousin build for an egal scout project and it's the very first bridge on Twisted Sister
Thank you for the trail work!
Donât forget Ridgeline at Boyette. Bet you wished you had the e-bike on these trails. đ this is my backyard. Ride here or Balm Boyette once a week the entire year. đ„” đ€đ€ thanks for the coverage. Sick lines! đ
I got a video a on Ridgeline! My âhomeâ is actually fort myers. I rode ride ridgeline the day it opened 15 years ago! At the moment tho, over the pacific on a flight to New Zealand!
â ââ ââ ââ @@coreymtbawesome! Sounds like you have a rough life. đ Do you know JJ? Carlos at UBC works on my bikes and Casey from AJs used to work on them, so I know the history of what these guys and Darren have been through to get these trails to where they are at⊠They all have contributed to the bike community for decades! Not that others didnât too, but they our the founders. đ Do you know Steve from Vorsprung? He has amazing aftermarket suspension upgrades? I canât ride like you anymore: I have brain damage and my balance is off, my back is cooked with spinal stenosis and herniated discs, etc., etc. Iâve had my shares of injuries out there, but nothing like some of the other guys. A friend of mine recently broke his hip in 2 places and laid there at Moonscape and they air lifted him out of there, the list goes on. Be safe! đź Iâm 49 been on a MTB since my teens first bike was a Cannondale Killer V with Girvin fork with the coil. đ Somehow Iâve never been able to stay off the trail. Anyways, I hope to see you on the trails. But you definitely will not see me on double blacks and most blacks. Iâm just thankful I can still ride my bike and no I donât ride an e-bike! Iâm on a custom Ripmo 10k build. Way more than I need but I love bikes! đđ€đ€
Iâm from nj was there 2 weeks ago so fun
Foshizzle
Iâll never let myself live down almost breaking my leg on freakin Rollercoaster⊠of all the trails to screw up on... Worst fail of my entire existence⊠đ
Fwiw I broke my wrist on south abyss at Boyette in 2009.
Excellent ride and great video! Where are you based?
And yes, as another viewer said, if you make it down to South Florida check out Markham and Virginia Key!
âHomeâ is Fort Myers Florida, but I spend 7 months a year living out or state. I can do laps around those places with my eyes closed.
@@coreymtb Yeah, after watching this I found your VK video... Gonna post there.
Im looking at the stump jumpers and im 5â 11â which size should i get the 3 or the 4?
Im afraid I can't answer. At 5'7 mine is 2022 medium. Idk how the new sizes go.
Do you use an electric bike for your videos?
Negative. It's pure Corey power!
Would you recommend getting a full suspension enduro bike? Im wondering if it will be okay for those punchy climbs, but also so i can take it up north to go fast downhill
An enduro bike is overkill for Florida. I'm on a Stumpjumper (non evo) in most of the videos on the channel. Great all around bike.
@@coreymtb i was thinking about getting the stumpjumper. Are you on the standard or the comp version?
Im on the 2020 standard Stumjumper which is more closely aligned with the current evo stumpjumper.@@smoothyodaproductions4373
@@coreymtb i might have to check it out. Theres a bike store near alafia which has many in stock so i might check there
I agree with on Gravitron, it is kinda a miserable trail
Glad Iâm not the only one
Is there a beginner trail or is this the beginner trail lol bahahaha
There are many beginner trails at Alafia.
