Yuka his been killing it for a while now 🙂 check out her dirt merchant video:

Its not just the environment. Terrace has always had a tradition of trail builders building sketchy features. At least nowadays they are rideable.
I live in Smithers BC! On your way back you want to come ride again? Bcpov you're the best! Please respond, I live in Smithers BC
Too many minds is no good
Yuka is fearless
Go Yuka! 🙌🏼
"You don't have to do it" "but jump is fun" is literally the internal monolog I have with myself every time I go out to practice jumping haha.
hahahaha, yup
Haha, very true
Came here to make this comment. Was happy to see it was already at the top of the section.
Jerry likes jump :D
Who's the guy
"Look ahead honey, dont look at tree!"
Me talking to myself every time I ride
You never want to look at the obstacles; always look at where you want to go, not where you don’t. Back when I was racing off road (in the dark ages), I almost had a visible line that would light up for me to follow (really!) The moment you fixate on that large rock on the center of the trail is when you will head straight for that rock.
It’s also applicable to life; don’t focus on the obstacles in life; focus on where you want to go. So this truism doesn’t just apply to mountain biking. 😁
eric: ya known you dont have to do it.
yuka: but, jump is fun...
me: adda girl🤣🤣🤣
You read my mind on that one 😂
@@jamiebonczek8026 yeeeeaah adda boy😂😂, i'm sorry i had to do it
Just like my husband always say🤣🤣🤣🤣
"but jump is fun" needs to be on a t-shirt, classic
yes! bring on the merch. I want this on a t-shirt, too.
with a pic of Yuka sending a jump
seriously!
Either a caricatured pic of her in her helmet smiling, or one of her sending it. I would wear this!
Take my money
Yuka towing Eric in to features is some of my favourite CZcams content. Eric, don't let macho pride ever ruin your dynamic. It's awesome to have a partner that can push you, and visa versa.
Absolutely agree. I ride with some pretty rad gals sometimes, they taught me quite alot! Its not because they're girls that we guys need to feel entitled to do something :D
well said
Blessed.
this!
This basically a love letter to Yuka and I'm here for it! I've been watching you guys for a long time and she amazes me every time
I love how Yuka says " I know that's not your real feeling" when Eric says he's not as confident following her through and over that step-down. Yuka knows that Eric's fear is not real, and I love how she builds her confidence and supports him at the same time. She makes everything positive, she says "step down", oh yeah, step-down is easy, step down is good, always keeping that PMA. This is a true example of how your attitude in life determines what you get out of it! LOVE YOU GUYS!
Yuka is just awesome and such an inspiration! I wish I had half her confidence. Quite often referring to her when we commit to sending it on our local trails by saying "OK. Let's go!". 😆👊💥
Yuka is so impressive! I wish I had her fearlessness
Howdy from Oklahoma, 73 yr old living vicariously through your videos looks like fun. Motorcrosser back in the day wish I could ride bikes today like y'all. Thanks for your videos.
I love that you are appreciate of Yuka for her help to you when riding instead of just feeling like you have to be the better rider!
Hey Eric and Yuka, it was so awesome hanging out with you guys!! Hopefully meet up again soon!!
Glad we bumped into each other! Thanks for hanging out 🙂
yuka is an incredible rider! honestly wish I could ride at her level!
Yep me too.

same. I don't even have a MTB though
Me too, and some day I will. Just keep practicing. 🤟

She is amazing! I haven't had that kind of courage since I was a kid. But here I am, just starting mountain biking at 57 years old. I like the green flowy trails, though.
the scenic casual trails ... i know it ✊ 😑
Yuka sounds like a logical person, which really helps when keeping things in perspective. I usually let my fears dominate and go past that stuff. Definitely lucky to have someone showing you the way!
You know it’s a good video when his wife shows him up 😂
But honestly I always enjoy your videos
You gotta give yourself time to build up your confidence again after injuries that's the key to getting back to where you were! Great vid
Yeah when I was 14 I sending jumps with my MTB without helmet and crashed bad but didn’t broke anything and starting that day I can’t do it and now I’m 17 I overcome it by wearing protective gear and do things I didn’t even know I can like I dropped 3ft with my BMX and I’m scared because I get used to having suspension but since I’m wearing helmet I go for it and now I wanna do higher
Reading this with a broken collarbone
@@ROSE-by5su watch out. Ego is stronger than a spine.
This is like my girlfriend in rock climbing- she always inspires me, just goes for stuff and I end up only doing it after her. Glad I'm not the only guy out there in awe of the fearlessness (or rather, just commitment and focus) of his partner.
One of my favorite videos it’s so telling of your balanced relationship and yea she can shred!!!
Everyone needs to be more like Yuka! I love her attitude towards riding and having fun! Go Yuka!
Wonderful!!! You’re a great team. HIGH TOUCH!
This video right here is exactly why I've always loved extreme sports. I've mountain biked, snowboarded skated my whole life and done a little surfing when I could and that feeling of getting over that fear for a thrill is indescribable.
I wish I was back in my 20's again with all the new trails that have been built, endos and wipe-outs hurt more the older you get, and take longer to recover from. "Don't look at the tree..." seriously, most of my spills were caused by me looking exactly where I didn't want to go. I've never MT bikes in BC, only down here in the USA... New Mexico, Colorado, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Florida. Yeah, Florida... pretty tame. My favorite top three are Mount Snow and Killington in Vermont, and the Rim Trail near Cloudcroft, NM.
"you dont have to do it"
"but jump is fun"
LMAO
I feel like "But, jump is fine" captures some profound draw to mtb that we can all relate to. It moved me, really.
Man, Yuka is a rock star. That solo camping video of her is one of the things made me a Yuka believer!
Your commentary/voiceover is getting so good and your editing skills have improved so much more
That is true
"Look ahead honey, don't look at tree!"- Yuka the drop slayer
She is so awesome. I love her smile after a jump. She is FEARLESS
Yuka is such a sender! She always seems to have such a confidence in her own abilities. Awesome video dude!
Thank you for this honest look into the mindset of jumping and drops. After coming off some serious injuries myself I can totally relate Eric. Oh, and go Yuka-chan!!!
I love the dynamic between you and your wife. This was a joy to watch.
I’ve been riding for 25 years and Yuka is hands down blown past me, hats off to the lady!
"Some times I get scared " I have the same feeling with my little one. When dips over edge and out of sight. When see her back tire skid and her bike go sideways for a bike. Going through rock gardens over drops. Sometimes I think I should carry extra underwear
You two are awesome. Have I noticed Yuka's senditure increasing with the addition of her glasses?
Definitely love the honest look at your own riding with strength and weaknesses. The fear is also what keeps you alive.
yuka is the reason why i got into mountain biking, she is the epitome of send it. thankyou !
Yuka had me smiling uncontrollably most of the video, and several times I said, "Damn! Yuka" out loud. Her confident attitude is infectious and she's got the skills to back it up. Great Video Eric, so cool you put the spotlight on your wife, she definitely earned it this video! Thank you, and Keep up the great work.
This video is so awesome! The respect, the lessons and the ability to see attempts - thank you for sharing!
Yuka should change her name to “Yukan send it!” or “Yuka the sender” 🤘🏼👊🏼
T shirt opportunity
@@danmai8433 brilliant 👍🏼
The honesty, humbleness, and ego-less approach you have to riding is admirable Eric. Yuka is absolutely killing it! Great content as always.
Love the video. Thank you for featuring our small community of Gitwinksihlkw. Appreciate it and one day I hope I’m brave enough to hit the bigger drops. Lol
I didn't realize how much I missed you guys until CZcams put your video on my feed. It's great to see you guys again.
Wow! Yuka you are amazing and so inspirational! thanks Eric for posting this and being so honest and supportive! would love to see vids of Yuka's progression since beginning! I would love to up my game to w more drops, jumps and better technique!
Great video! The extra production starting at 9:30 had me extra impressed. I haven't been back to the channel for a minute, and it was a great surprise. Kudos to you guys!
It's great to see you two gelping/encouraging each other and watching Yuka's skill get better. Thanks for another great video!
I have always cheered for Yuka. I love her perspective on things.
Great video and tribute to Yuka. Really enjoy the content and commentary. Keep riding, living life, having fun and sharing with the world. Thank you for doing so. Health and safe travels to you.
This video made me smile. Yuka seems like such a great/positive person to be around.
I love that you show us all the preparatory work before you do those difficult features. Most riders just show the successful completion. It makes it look like they hit it the first time without advanced planning. Thank you for posting.
What I've always admired about Yuka is her mental strength. She's always ready to send it and never bows in front of adversity. She's a tough cookie! :)
Yuka this is great! You are an inspiration! And congrats Eric you introduced her to the sport well. Job well done! A pleasure to watch you both!
This is only my 2nd time watching and to tell the truth, her little voice kills me! I hope you are both totally happy forever!❤
I will be watching you guys.👍🏼
YUKA!!!!! IS DA BOMB!!! You guys are so awesome together! Keep up all the great content!!
Yuka is so fearless! Such an inspiration, well done.
I enjoy the way you're narrating with a well-modulating voice . Can't help watching.
Your wife is so inspiring I love her chanel as well , it's such a blessing to watch her progress,,, GOOD JOB MS YUKA 👏🏾👊🏽❣🤙🏾👍🏾
Your story telling is great, Eric. Brilliant video as always!

Him: "you don't have to do it"
Her" But...jump is fun"
Wiser words have never been spoken.
Awesome video! You def earned a sub! I love the self-awareness and found myself hollering for Yuka! Love it.
You and Yuka are model pair for all couples on healthy ways to support and encourage each other! I saw so much honesty from the both of you in this video and I really appreciate you sharing this perspective with the community!
You are lucky to have found Yuka, she is such a wonderful person.
Thank you for posting this! It gives me so much inspiration to keep learning! 8)
i know the feeling of wanting to do somthing but being to afraid to fall so good from rock climbing. but when you have done it and overcome you fears it is the best feeling in the world.
Man..this is awesome stuff. To see a couple connect in their hobbies and support each other while being active and adventuring, and not just just for the sake of taking pictures together. Actually out conquering a difficult sport and sharpening your skills..I have to say I am envious of your shared passion. Hopefully I can meet a girl who likes to ride someday too.
Yuka is awesome! I don’t even ride but I love both channels.
Such a fan of Yuka! glad the CZcams algorithm brought me back to this channel. So cool to see her progress.
Great video Eric it was a little different but highly relatable there is always someone in the local group who surprises everyone else. I've watch Yuka ride around features I thought she would shred and then watched in amazement as she took on features that made me fear for her safety. You guys are a good team and I love watching your content, keep up the great work.
I barely even hit small jumps but from what I've learned from seeing others jump and talk about it, is that whips aren't just for style. They seem to loosen the person up and set them up for the landing. She should maybe practice whips and might be more smooth on the jumps and a little less rigid.
Man I wish I had no fear like her hahaha
Fear is what saves one's life many times. Having no fear is stupid IMHO. One might argue that a fearless short life is worth more than a long one with many doubts and fears. To each their own, I choose to have fun within limits while staying all in one piece. If you exceed you skill level by being 'fearless' odds are that one day soon you will get badly injured, ruining many months and years of more fun to come. Not being negative, just realistic from my personal experience. Peace!
@@radiocontrolled9181 agree! I'm fearful and I still hurt myself sometimes 😭🤣
Yuka is a beast! Right on. So awesome to see her sending it.
Yuka is great to watch, always looks as if she's having great fun
Love her spirit. What a role model. Love to do what you are doing Yuka and I've never seen this sport before, or even been a bike rider.
Great video Eric. Yuka is adorable. Yes, you are a lucky guy.
That was a really nice video. Bravo to Yuka and what she has accomplished.
You really are blessed Eric, wish I had a Yuka in my life :) loved the vid
This inspires me so much. I just got back from a bike park tour in BC and we went to Sun Peaks where I FINALLY did my very first gap. They always scare me but they had a smaller one on their new flow trail (Might As Well) and I did it by accident the first time. I didn’t realize it until I was in the air. Haha. You are right, it’s a mental game at times. I already had the skills to do it but my mind has been holding me back. Thanks so much Yuka, for the inspiration to keep pushing. Mountain biking is a huge part of my life! 🤟
oh you two! both of you inspiring and positively leading on many, many levels 🤗
your best upload ever! Yuka deserves so much respect.
Love the background music added. Well selected for making the tone. Good job!
you guys have become one of my favorite youtube channels. Looking forward to many more life lessons from Eric and Sensei Yuka.
Very good job Yuka!!
Your mountain bike journey has forged you good skills and confidence.
Of course, the mind has the last word.
If he's not ready he'll pull you over for an easy little thing.
Thank you for this nice video, again.
When you come for mountain biking content but learned a life lesson about overthinking👌 your wife is awesome and adorable at the same time!
Best part of your videos is watching Yuka jumping without the hesitation I see on you and other bikers in yiur show. Truly admire her courage and determination without hesitation!
Man I keep on forgetting this gem of a channel.. I hit the bell, so now I’ll never miss another video! Thank you for the amazing content!!
I envy what you have with each other. A shared passion and complimentary capabilities. Love the content, keep it up
This video made my day thank you guys
Finally getting a chance to catch up and watch this one. Go Yuka! You are most certainly one truly lucky guy, Eric.
Well done, Eric! We all love Yuka!
Very nice and inspiring video. Yuka and BCpov one the best mtb youtubers. Congratulation!
Wow! Yuka is killing it!
Yuka is the freaking best! Her commitment is incredible she never backs down!
Appreciate your careful approach and transparency. Also, excellent work with the soundtrack!
Yuka is a legend!
Great vid! I've been watching her videos recently, she's gained so much skill over the last year, wish I could ride more like her, no fear!
Yeah, no fear until you hit a dodgy jump and smash your head in. Then fear sounds like a good idea. Maybe yucky will not be smiling so much when shes spitting out a mouth full of broken teeth.
Really heartwarming video. Yuka is rad 🤘
You go Yuka!! Thank you BCPOV!
I hope one day I can ride as good as Yuka does! I just started biking last year at 42 years old. I have a long learning curve ahead of me. Thanks for all the videos. You guys are amazing!
My favorite part:
- You don't have to do it.
- But jumping is fun!
I loved it! ^^
Beautiful trails. Makes me want to ride more often. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
