How to find the saturation point of SLES solution?

This video shows you how to find out :
1. How much salt will be added in homemade liquid detergent formula. I test by keeping adding salt into SLES 70% solution till its saturation point, then see how viscosity it is. This method helps me make decision which salt level, how many percentage of salt, will be used in my formulation.
2. How much salt added to reach the saturation point. It will prevent me from adding too much salt and turn the liquid into too thin and less it viscosity. At this point, the watery liquid can be solved by slowly adding a little bit of water at a time to balance the salt that previously added above the saturation point. After adding water, the texture will be thicker. If you still are not satisfy the thickness, you can add some more water and observe the texture. It depend on you how much amount of water will be added to adjust to your prefer viscosity.
Please note that when you add the water to adjust the viscosity, the percentage of SLES 70% will be reduced, make it less cleaning and foaming properties.
This is a fun science experiment that you can test it at home, so feel free to try, test and find out the level of viscosity that suit to your homemade liquid detergent products ( laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid ).
