Hey Joey. Nice video. You covered a lot of ground in that one. Including Ground Hog. LOL I admire your compassion for the animals. I think the county did something to exterminate the beavers at my branch run beaver lake. It's now turning into a dry bottom waste land. When before it was an excellent wet land habitat for all manner of animals. In so Ga we call that charcoal starter that your using Fat Lighter. And I can relate to mowing all that grass. But the older I get - the less I want to mow. LOL Thanks for sharing your stuff.
Love the video. Yea buddy, mowing is part of country life, my wife loves to mow. I bought a used 4 wheel mower, the frame was sketchy, but the engine was great. Next day a friend gave me Hustler ZTR with a rod through the case. Two hrs after I got it home, she was like a spoiled kid. Just finished clearing about 1 1/2 acres, she waiting for the grass to grow. City Girl!

I pile my charcoal in the middle of my grill then soak 3 cotton balls in olive oil. I place them around the bottom of the pile of charcoal and light them. They are slow burning and get the job done every time. No nasty chemicals or taste. Enjoyed the video!

Thanks for sharing the video Joey. Like how you are taking us along with you. Yes sir it's a lot of mowing around and other chores on a place. We had a hustler and it was a good mower then I got a scagg and it was a good mower and now I have a John Deere and I like it. Stay cool as you can this week especially Saturday and Sunday. Hope y'all get some rain. It's dry up here and they are talking about a chance of storms on Monday. Going to cut wheat tomorrow or the neighbor is going to bring his big John Deere and cut and haul the grain for me. I'm still not doing too much as the doctor hasn't released me yet to do a lot and go back to work. Take care and God Bless Y'all.

I mow about 5 - 6 acres as well. I have an old Simplicity Contender and it's been a good one. Has almost 800 hrs on it and going strong. I did upgrade the seat to an X mart seat I had.
I’ll probably give the Raptor to Elliott if I’m able to get another one next year.
I have one on an old Allis Chalmers B . It mows very good and the old Allis is good on gas too. My uncle had one on an old Farmall A and i mowed with it a lot for him. I liked it better because it has 4 gears instead of 3 on the Allis . They make for a good mower and they will outlast all the new mowers. I would hang on to it too.

Joey I love my old super A with the six foot belly mower, I mow the Striaght and easy with it and trim up with my zero turn! I can mow with one hand and sip on a cup of coffee with the other.The old A mowed 4 or 5 acres for at least the last sixty years. I got it three years ago . I had my doubts about liking it boy was l wrong. I hope y’all keep that mower that came off Sammy’s A . God’s speed y’all

You’re right for sure. I wanted to give it my best effort before I went that route but unfortunately we had to go that route.
As far as the mowing grass goes, we don't have much of a yard anymore to have grass to cut. We actually filled most of our front yard in with raised beds for garden space since thats the most area that gets full sun. BUT, our yard isn't exactly flat and the little Snapper mower I bought is almost perfect for our needs which is also elevated in areas and puts a hard twist in the mower cutting certain areas.
But as far as the electric fence goes, Where did you get it and what brand is it?

As I get older the seat and suspension is one of the most important features of a zero turn that I look at.
I wouldn’t have appreciated this comment until today . I drove Rogers Super Z and it felt wonderful.

When I bought my mower I debated on spending the extra money to get a suspension seat on it but said “the yard is pretty flat”….. I think I’d do different if I had to again lol. Managed to get the fast hitch back on the tractor today and dig up the potatoes, onions and garlic.
It would be nice but I want hold my breath. Lol
