I'm not even halfway through and I'm consistently on edge that he's actually handling a genuine Metrotitan.
It's a great grail to get if you get the chance. I love mine.
fully didnt realize this guy was released in the japanese micromaster era, but in retrospect it feels like a no-brainer. he’s not quite city sized for most g1 transformers, but in and amongst the micromasters and their own transforming bases and whatnot, this feels like it really makes sense. bonus points for retconning a ramp and a proper micromaster into the set to actually make it work with the other toys in the line, he couldve just been sitting there independent of the base play pattern but they properly made him a part of it with just one little ramp.
I can totally understand KOs like this - hard to find toys that are hella expensive. But when it's a minibot like Seaspray being sold for more than an official one it's kinda silly 😅

I am stunned that this colour scheme wasn't plopped on Titan Class Metroplex and shipped as 'Shattered Glass' with a $100 mark up for having the guns included. Maybe. Doubt they would, they'd just jack up the price 😂
It's a lovely toy though! I always think of Diaclone when I see these colours used like this.
All my dreams are dashed, yes, but at least my dream of seeing Marvel vs Capcom return is keeping me hanging around, still!
Something quaint, thinking about older "biggest ever!" Transformers is that a lot of them might now feel like they're just the right height if you prefer your biggest toys to be no taller than a ruler. A good size to handle them.
God, I love that whole night-time aesthetic and how can you not love the blue and red of Metrotitan. Absolutely cracking!
I’m a big fan of KOs. Especially for things that are long out of production.
Plus, anytime we can stick it to the big corporations is a bonus.

There's also an older bootleg of this guy with a lot of chromed parts and a helmet to make him look like Fort Max. I got mine in Spain in the 90s but immediately lost a few parts. Fortunately, I managed to get exactly those parts for relatively cheap off an auction a few years ago. 😊
If this is the KO company I think this is from, there's a Raiden on the way, and a Metrotitan revision that comes with the Micromaster and ramp

I was just earlier daydreaming about Metroplex and Metrotitan could be written as estranged twins. I think I prefer these colors and those of Brave Max or Grand Max to the usual ones.
Metrotitan will always be a zombie clone of Metroplex to me, and thank you train wars for canonizing this, so the beige then stark white feels much more in character to me. Its a shame metrotitan is shotty and metrobomb isnt present. I was going to buy a ko for one
Took me two years to grab my MIB Metrotitan, (finding one and actually be able to afford it at the same time lol) He's in great shape but I did grab this KO to get the more hands on use.

The Destron logo with the KO is a dry-rub, give it a rub down and you should be able to peel all that nasty plastic off and leave the nice Destron logo attached.

I'm surprised they haven't done an Encore release since they still have the Metroplex mold. To obscure I guess since not many followed the Japanese G1 lines.
@@ReverendPONT and yet we have a Metalhawk, Blackzarack, his companion piece, Lio Convoy, Copy Convoy, a God damn Minerva, a Magmatron with the hope of a Big Convoy, An actual Starsaber and Deathsaurus. I honestly wouldn’t find it surprising. I mean hell I’d probably pay $200 just to get a Generations Selects Gigastorm which would just be a slight retool of Tryptacon.
@@soundwavegamer2321 they were all in cartoon though, Metrotitan wasn't in the zone one off cartoon which is my guess as to why they didn't do a reissue considering the mold still exists. I still need to grab an OG Metal Hawk, Black Zarak and Minerva. Grandus also but he's so hard to find. Even his Brave repaint is getting hard to find. A new version of Metrotitan would be cool. I'd like them to do a more G1 look but in the Titan scale like they did with Omega Supreme. I'd be all over that.

@@soundwavegamer2321 already have a few that I can't touch like Thunderclash so no biggie, just want it in the collection. I love the Japanese G1 box art as much as the toys. He has gone up in price but they all have. I read somewhere that the company that is doing the this Metrotitan is going to do a Black Zarak. I'll grab that KO if they do like I did with Metrotitan to save the original. They're just getting too old to mess with.

EDIT: Yeah, if the KO doesn't come with a Metrobomb, I'm seeing Skystalker on the Eeby for around $20USD. Mildly high for a Micromaster but not bad overall.

what's the point of having a toy if you can't play with it?
i see people who only buy these toys just for exposition. Kinda makes me feel like, they are in exposition to assert a level of superiority .
I get my toys, and play with them. I exploit everything to do with them. that the fun. I just made yesterday my titans return trigger happy into armored core mode. I recently got my Titan's return Broadside, and i have made 5 plane transformations out of him.
I used WFC micromasters to cosplay astrotrain as Menasor xD. Imagination is your limit.
so.. i got the metroplex knock off recently, and still waiting for him . sadly... i did not knew about Metrotitan. :/ if i did knew before buying metroplex, i'd rather want metrotitan. Is city mode, is so night city mode, and that is what vibes more with me. It's so visually pleasing.
