MINIMALIST Solo Winter Overnight Camp | Tarp and Hammock

Lots of talking on this one LOL. Join me for an overnight minimalist winter camp in the Interior forests of British Columbia. I wanted to try out a more minimalist style of camping so I grabbed a few core items such as my hammock, tarp, sleeping bag, Bush Buddy stove and belt knife and just found a local forest to hike into. After 2KM of following a compass bearing, I settled on a location with a good amount of dead wood for cooking and the flattest area I could find. As I am surrounded by mountains here, finding a flat spot to actually camp is difficult, something I’m not used to!
It was a blast though, checking out a new area, spending a night in cold temps and doing it all with less gear than I’d normally carry.
I’ve not talked much in the last few videos posted and some of our subscribers have asked for more…..so here you go. I blabber on and on in this one haha! A great little getaway and I didn’t get eaten by a Mountain Lion…which were apparently in the area I chose to spend the night! Enjoy everyone!
Oh.... and for those wanting Boreal Forest content, don't worry. I'll one flying into the heat of Woodland Caribou Park later this week for a multi week solo trip with the dog!
