I cover a lot of points on the bag but for some reason forgot to show you what it looks like on! My mistake. For size reference - I am 5'6 height. The straps are adjustable depending on your torso size and mine sit at medium on the bag. Ladies - for the lady straps I am average size and fluctuate weight around 145 lbs with a heavier chest. I have worn all 3 straps and would choose a strap depending on what I need to carry. The tech strap offers extra pockets and a photo of all three straps can be found on the kickstarter link! Thanks guys and gals đ
Iâve watched almost every review video thatâs come out so far on the explore v2 trying to work out which size I want .
I think yours is the most helpful so far and helped me decide which to order. Also how you talk about how shimoda look after
You all and also look into straps for women etc is a big plus too..thanks for a great ,informative review. đ
Thank you Liz! I really appreciate it. Enjoy your new bag! Youâll love it â„ïž
Great review thanks. Iâve ordered the 25L for my mirrorless three lens setup.
Good to see you again Sarah. I'm stocked you're getting busy. I can't wait for the Canadian border to open again. Take care..!
Thanks so much Max!!
Hey Sarah! Iâve been taking a break from social media, mainly IG, since April so Iâve been missing in action so to speak haha I have to say itâs been nice haha itâs so nice to see you and Ollie in this video again âșïž Iâve already supported this Kickstarter and canât wait for it to arrive! Love my 2 shimodas so Iâve no doubt Iâll love this one as well âșïž really lovely seein you and Ollie! Have a wonderful day!
Hey my friend! You are going to love your new bag! Thanks for the wonderful comment â„ïž
Thank you Sarah for the great review. I pledged for a black one. I have the original bag the Explorer40, and it's just too tall for my torso. I think the 25 v2 will be even better for hiking long distances.
Yes it is amazing for hiking! Youâre going to love it đâ„ïž
Thank you again Sarah for your great video and your help about the bag! (Becky from IG)
Thanks Becky! Youâre the best đ
Great video you could pack for Australia in them ,Vegemite in the bag must be for Ben
Hows things going for your trip to Brisbane
I looked at these bags yesterday, hard to understand there kick-started as are most.
Good to see you are making videos again ,I await for the next
Thanks Phillip! I will update about australia soon đ
Great review!!
Thank you!!
Hi Sarah. Thanks for the review. You mentioned that you have been using a f-stop backpack earlier on. May I know if you have try to fit the f-stop icu into E25?
The new line of Shimoda bags look awesome, from what you reviewed you can tell theyâre of a really high quality đ
But what do you mean you donât like Vegemite???đ€·đ»ââïž
Vegemite with butter on toast!! đ
Nice to find a review from a woman. The Kickstarter seems to be over already unfortunately. Any idea when this bag will be available on their website?
Good review Sarah to bad I missed the kick starter I guess now I'll be paying through the nose
Am I correct in noticing Shimoda moved the belt attachment points from the bag to the back panel? They would lay on the ground now when the back is opened? That would also stress the zipper. I think I'd rather the back was free of attachment.
Great review, great backpack, great vid, great girl... Do you know if Shimoda products (especially this backpack) will be available in Europe as well? Thanks.
You can order directly from their localized online store. Items will be shipped from the UK or the Netherlands, not sure
I hear nothing but good things about these bags.
Once I am done reconstructing my camera gear collection I might be in the market for an adventure photo bag.
Yahoo!! They are great bags đ
Thanks for this. I am grateful to see a woman do the review. I agree, Shimoda seems to be the only camera bag company that considers woman photographers. I have two of their back and have backed the Kickstarter campaign for this one. This back seems to be the perfect blend for my photography needs. Love Ollie. :-)
Thank you so much! Appreciate it. Youâre going to love your new bag! â„ïž
Hello, I saw you are using a 5DMK4 in ExploreV2. Does the camera able to take out from the side access? I have a Action X30, and 5Dmk4 with the core unit. My 5Dmk4 is really really hard to take out from the core, due to the height of the core is too short. (while I could take out the camera from the Big Back Door)
I havenât had any issues taking my camera out!! đ
Does the height of the camera have sufficient protection or does is it a bit close to protruding from above the height of the core unit? Is there any risk of the camera impacting either the laptop or the pressure of the back plate of the bag creating pressure on the camera? I like the idea of the 25L, but not sure if it will be enough protection or whether I should get the 35L?
Hi, does E25 qualify as a personal item bag on aircraft?
There isnât a clear answer. It will definitely fit under a lot of seats, but not all. Iâve had the same question for a while. Itâs the same size as my WANDRD 21L and that bag has fit under the seat on every flight Iâve taken (including a smaller plane I took into Columbus Ohio last year.) but my experience with this size has been exclusively on American flights, so keep that in mind. I donât think the bag is technically within the TSA Size limitations either, but they donât tend to bother you within reason.
can you take some video of you wearing the bag for scale?
Shimoda Designâs IG just posted a photo of Sarah wearing the bag a few days ago. Hope that helps! On IG they are: @shimodadesign
@@stacy85 thanks
Which size would you recommend for female 5'3-5'4? I can't decide between the 25L and 30L. Mainly, I'm concerned the 30L might be too long.
I think it depends on what you need for gear. If you see only going to flame a body and perhaps 2 lenses then the 25 would be just fine. Itâs the smallest bag so just remember less room for gear. I use the 30 L and I am 5â5
Can you remove your camera, with the 70-200 attached, through the side access easily? I have a Nikon d500 with a 70-200 that I like to keep attached... Im debating between the 25l and 30l... im worried the 30l will be too long for my torso but i need to be able to get my camera out of the side access.
Eventually which size did you get?
Nice video, well explained... I am debating about which E V2 to get... 25L or 30L... I am not very tall ... about 5'7" .. Just trying to get sense of bag size related to height...So based on your experience for this height which one is suitable.. I know it's difficult to answer. I have R6, 24-105f4, I am preordering 14-35 f4 and 100mm macro and few accessories.. Thanks
I would go with the 30L :) Sounds like the perfect size for you!
@@sarahlyndsay Thank you, appreciated!
@@sachinsathe5688 I'm 5'7" and can comfortably carry my 55L Arc'teryx hiking bag over many miles, so any of these would work for you. That said, I'd suggest ordering the smallest size that fits your use case, the bigger the size you purchaise, the more you'll pack; So layout everything you think you'll need, then cut out anything you probably don't, finally measure. Whichever you choose, ensure you adjust all your straps correctly. Best of luck!
@@sorayananji6801 Thanks Soraya, good explanation for how to choose the back pack. Appreciated!
I can also (reasonably) recommend the 30L - I have the Shimoda Action X30, and at 5'6" (with shoes on), the shoulder strap adjustment options let the bag sit comfortably on my back instead of extending too far down the back.
I'm also interested in this Explore v2 for a more streamlined carry bag for my landscape, and city "hiking"
When will they be available for sell on the Shimoda website? Anyone?
Right now!
@@os6219 yeah I just saw them for preorder... thanks for the reply
@@eheheh3263 Yeah, and if you order, research a coupon code. Youâll get 10% off. Worked for me!
@@os6219 the chick in the video has a 10% off code under the description, but the Shimoda website says they wonât be available until around 10/12/2021...
gear - i thought you were refering to camera gear - not discribed but looks like very limited camera gear storage.
That dog is a stuffed one no?
