Those nets look like commercial grade hoop nets. That's a lot of intricate details & craftsmanship. Josh is a beast!

Thanks for sharing! Could I ask you to share a link to where I can buy the rubber lining? I noticed the rebar scratches up the net.
You can use old tire tubing. I had old pond liner. You can buy the pond liner on Amazon, but it is expensive.
What is the bolt metal material made of to prevent the rusting?
Everything will rust in the ocean unless you coat the hoop with liquid PVC or rubber.

Yes. You can stack them up. 10 of them will be about 3 ft tall.
so the bottom of the net must be pretty loose or flexible and what about net replacement i see he quit making them? thanks Ray @@Fishing247

I may use some of these hacks for building new pots for WA. This style of hoop net is not legal in WA.

@@Fishing247 hoops are legal there. Just not that style. Per the regs up there, all parts of the net must be flat on the bottom until the rope is pulled.

I don’t know if you save any money doing it yourself when it is that labor intensive.
Josh made bread hoops for customers who really appreciate the great craftsmanship that Josh puts into making these hoops.
Why not dip them EAST COAST STYLE??? When I grew up we used to dip them in a tar like substance that would dry hard after it cooled.

Why don’t you guys just spray it with dip it or flex seal or any similar type rubber sealer? Seems like a lot of wasted energy to me🤷♂️
Pvc coating is expensive. Since I already have the liner at home and it is free. The liner wrapping is so good for your boat, less impact. Thanks for your comment.
