- In this episode, we leave tropical Thailand for the summer cycle touring in Europe. We land in Nice, France, where the weather is HOT and the water is cold. The hills are big and the towns are old, all with names we can’t pronounce.
During our first week, we travel from the Mediterranean coast of Nice to the small country town of Uzès to visit our dear friend and her beautiful family to lap up some true French hospitality. Join us on our new adventures in this romantically cycling mecca.

french riviera be paradise
great adventure!
Those old cities/villages look so beautiful.
+xeonome they are awesome. So many alley ways it's like a maze.
Two Wander Yonder i wish i will have the chance to cycle there as you two. Btw, was it hard on mtb's?
I was having second thoughts about going out for a bikepacking trip this summer. But seeing this reminded me of how much I loved it last time I backpacked in Europe (that time on the rails). Great video, will follow the series and daydream away to warmer safer times and places.
Your bike trip is wonderful and beautiful.
I'm glad to be your best channel friend.
Have a nice Monday.
👍👍👍🤙🤙🤙👌💯
Great adventure,,,,,,I’m a Cyclist from Indonesia
Nice video. It seams like a wonderful vacation. 👍
The region is very nice. It's very hilly or should I say mountainous. The area is full of history. Beautiful villages. Bikes rule the countryside.
+Rockhead Gary its very hilly. Our next episode will feature the mountainous side of France! Stay tuned!
Very cool footages!
Epic adventure guys looks like so much fun...
ha ha its ahhwiinjoohhh
Wow wonderful 🥰🥰
Great video, weather fabulous and the terrain looks superb!
+retty37 Thankyou. It's a beautiful part of the world!

Great Adventure...looking forward for mire videos!
:-)
Thankyou! Just putting the finishing touches up of the second episode. Look for it next week!

amazing videos
Hi guys, great video! I will also be traveling around Europe in a MTB adapted for touring. Di you guys have the need for a mudguard at some point? If you did, which ones do you recommend. Thanks.
Oooh I want to do this!
great film, love the drone footage
Thanks! 🙌
Thanks for your reply to my previous comment. I accidently deleted the comment while attempting to edit it. :) Looking forward to following you here on YT as you continue your journeys. Ride on!
we did Nice to Barcelona. took us 8 days. amazing coast line.
+PartMiniBus wow. What a great cycle. I’m not sure what time of the year you did it but we did it in summer and the coast was so busy with people on holidays. It was too busy at times and hard to cycle safely. So we chose to go inland after Cannes.
we tried to cut across a bit, but realized how amazing coast line is.
they have showers everywhere. cycle, swim, shower, eat, cycle swim, shower, sleep, cycle...
:)
it was amazing, just pack your ear and go, that's what I say :)
Riding with packs on your backs must have been difficult. I was just outside of Avignon for a 6 day bike supported road bike trip. It's on the bucket list to go back.
+Rockhead Gary yeah it's not ideal but so far works for us. We are open to new ideas though. Avignion is a great area.
+Rockhead Gary Yeah it's not ideal to have backpacks on. But something we haven't found a decent solution too. Avignion is a great area!
Nice weather looked a fun ride 🙂where you going next? 🙂👍🏻
Congratulations for this video, Im from Brazil, and If You come here, I know some many places to visit. See You😁😁😁

do you have a gps route so i can see it via Komoot or Strava? Thanks! Great one bro!
Like it!
Thankyou!
So my son is in a french immersion school and I promised him a trip to france when he turns 12. My wife and I were thinking of doing a modified version of this trip. I was hoping you would share some ideas as to how you organized the logistics. I did you ship your bikes from home or buy or rent them there? Did you pay the shower host? Did you camp or find places to stay? When you switched to tandem what did you do with the old bikes and where did you get the new one? How did you keep your stuff from being stolen?
Thanks a million,
Rich
+Rich Morrey thanks for commenting. We took our bikes on the plane with us. The airlines generally give you 30kg of luggage. Our bikes and all our gear came in just under that. We packed the bikes in a box from a bike shop (generally free) and put all our gear in the box also. Being careful not to go over the 30kg. Then we put them together at the other end and threw away the box. Check out warmshowers.org. It’s a free website that you can find hosts all over the world and is very family friendly. It’s a good idea to host people in your home before you leave, as it’s a community that relies on give and take. The tandem was a joke as our hosts had one and we had a little go on it for a few kilometers. It wasn’t for us and we were happy to get our bikes back. Having stuff stolen is a hard one. We try not to let our bikes out of our site and always lock them. But Hayley’s bike was stolen in Copenhagen a few weeks after this video. So it’s something that you have to be careful with. We always put the bikes inside and locked them when we were not riding. Sometimes one of us would go shopping and the other stay with the bikes. You can never be too careful. Thanks for the info and I will definitely check out the website.
mint ride well done will like to do this one one day
+Lynn Oliphant thanks Lynn. It comes highly recommended from us! If you need any questions answered. Email us. Www.twowanderyonder.com
Great video. What kind of those bikes?
Abdelaali Houari they are xc mountain bikes. One is a Focus and the other a trek! 29inch wheels and dual suspension.
Panniers would help you out!
what did you do with the bike boxes? throw them away? what about the box you needed to bring back the bike? buy another one?
Ahh, cycling the south of France!! Wonderful! But wasn't carry backpacks a bit tiresome?
Cycling in summer in hilly France, less is always more. Great video has inspired me.
Would you still recommend bikepacking with full-suspension mtb ?
France ~ not for the gluten intolerant
how do you do those little map edit animations?
Photoshop and lots of key framing! Look up a tutorial online!
Nice Video! Which helmet are you using?
Noel Thankyou. Hayley has a Lazer female specific. And I have a BBB. Not sure the exact model for both of them sorry.
Two Wander Yonder thanks!
Backpacks? Ouch.
ПРОСВЕЩЕННЫЕ ХА ХА. УТОПИЯ!!!
why didn't you two get some panniers? Geez, carrying all that weight on your backs will wear you out quickly!
Exactly what I thought as an experienced touring cyclist. Panniers so much easier to carry gear especially in the heat .
too much music in the video
I do cycling backpacking and I can tell you now that your backpacks are far too heavy and big for cycling up mountains. You must learn how to pack better and only take the the minimum.
