Can't wait to watch this. Just finishing one of your other videos then I shall watch this one. Keep them videos coming and stay safe 🇬🇧👍
Epic video as always
Great videos Josh and even better to see the routes on komoot. I'm riding my new bike home from Brighton to Stafford next week. Hopefully I won't regret it.
So good to see you doing a foreign ride now you’ve completed Britain Josh. Hope for more of these, some cracking gravel in Spain…
This is probably your best video, Josh. Really enjoyed watching it again.
Lovely story about the old chap that cycled with you. Its those sort of things that stick in your mind for probably always!
awesome, got my gears turning for adventure!
Thanks again, Josh. Another great film with spectacular scenery captured very professionally, a proper taste of France.
Your little story was great. I have been cycling on and off for over 50 years. Once you're fit and on a decent machine, there's nothing better but it's always difficult to communicate that feeling to others.
Your channel, with your enthusiasm and humour is inspiration encouragement for everyone, especially those with an open mind.👍
Great story Josh about the 90 year old man, gotta love things that transcend boundaries! Looks like you got the legs to enter GBduro this year! 💪
Genuinely glad to see you riding in some decent weather for a change Josh. Great trip and loved the music.
This is a great video. I love the story of you cycling with the guy in his 90s. I wonder if he is still around. I hope to be riding in my 90s as well.
What a great trip. 👍 It really came over that you enjoyed it and weren't just banging the miles out!
Nice to see you riding outside of Britain.
European trips are amazing 🤩
Been looking forward to a trip abroad for CZcams’s No1 bikepacker (IMHO) much better than that “No whammies.” Guy. Great content and videography as usual 👍
Trés bon mate. Drone shots are top notch.
Thanks for another great trip with some lovely photography as usual.
What a nice story about the elderly gent you rode with in southern France. To live into your 90s is one thing, but to still be doing what you love is better still. I hope he's still alive and pedalling, but if not, I'm sure he'll be looking down and smiling at your adventures. Chapeau to that dear chap! 👍
I did this route end of last year. Totally relaxing, but I peeled south after ouistreham and off to the west coast and back to Cherbourg. Great 5 day adventure chilling in sunshine and endless camp spots.
Like yourself I’m in Bournemouth too so it’s an easy loop using the poole ferry.
Nice video that and brought back good vibes for me 👌🏻⛺️
Absolute class. Love it.
Another great ride. Thank you.
Amazing, so much inspiration
what a trip, lots of beautiful scenery. Loved your story about riding with ole mate. Cheers and thanks Josh
Thanks for another cracking trip looks so lovely one day may try this 😊
Amazing, one for my bucket list! 👍👍
Absolutely beautiful scenery! Inspiring adventure 😊
Another ace ride and video, just fantastic ❤️💪💪🏁🏁
So jealous as that’s one of my bucket list trips.
Brilliant video. Perfect music. Thanks for putting titles and background on some of the points of interest. Also the date when you rode it.
Absolute legend, love your content ❤
Lovely Josh! I thought that fish looked quite appetising tbh.... bbq would have been just the ticket. Love a coastal adventure.. A bientot!
Sunny mornings like that make the adventure even more enjoyable, i'm gonna start my own adventure soon too for the first time under the tent, so hopefully i will be lucky with a sunny weather too, stay safe and see you in next one!😉
A nice relaxing 100 miles per day... if you're a cycling machine. I'm impressed how cyclists cope with the monotony of doing the same thing hour after hour - I struggle with that as well as the distance. When I cycled toured the Normandy coast in 2008 from Le Havre to the walled city of St. Malo in Brittany I soaked up as much history as I could squeeze in - the beaches, cemetaries, memorials, Pegasus bridge, Mont St Michel - 50 miles per day for 6 days. I revisited again a few years ago in the car with my daughter on a 5 day trip to tour even more sites, the cliff arches at Etretat, the Benedictine distillery in Fecamp, the Bayeaux tapestry, cathedrals, Mont St Michel and the D-day beaches again. Such an interesting location to tour slowly if one has the time.
Fantastic video 😊
Nice video. Thanks!
Josh, in 2018 i rode the Hayling to Paris cycle ride and rode over Le Port de Normandy bridge heading back to Caen... got to say that bridge is a giant, we rode along the road/cycle lane but it was sectioned off so it felt safe with barriers between cars and bikes.. chapeau for riding along with the traffic... noticed the French drivers beep their horns to let you know they behind you.. over here the drivers beep and then want to hurt you...
Awesome video with great view's 👍
Another awesome video Josh, I was checking in every hour Sunday hoping for a video and once again you delivered. Topped off my weekend 👌. Already looking forward to the next one 👋
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it, had a bit on an issue with uploading this one so it was a bit delayed.
@@KeepSmilingAdventures I honestly do not know how you do what you do in all weather's Josh, but I'm sure glad you do. 👍
im 30 seconds into the video and i'm like...."a fat bike, is this guy mental"
how . i . like this video man! how i like!
Great vid Josh, scenary looks amazing. We're off to Roscoff in June for a gravel explore. Hope it's as scenic 🙏
Nice film
Nice video and route. I am planning a bikepacking trip next year along the Belgian/French coast to Spain. Should be fun, will start it off by visiting relatives in Namur Belgium. This year I am planning to ride across Canada, should be epic.
Hopefully you can have more cycling adventures on the continent!
Something I've been wanting to do for so long this trip, if I can work out the logistics of getting from the north down to the south with my bike and back this trip is on my bucket list.
Thanks
Thank you :D
Great video! Looked like the weather was perfect right until the last day you had to head back to England. Typical British weather hey?!
What a great video, why is it so criminally low on "likes"?!
I can't believe I've just planned nearly the exact same route ,As I'm based on the isle of Wight .I would also like to pop over further up the east coast of England & head up to The Netherlands one day .
Cracking film. Anyone else clock the Phare de Gatteville lighthouse (3:36) as a filming location for the ace French 80s film Diva? Where Gorodich and Alba take Jules after he is nearly killed by Bad Guys.
You made me buy a baguette today 😄
Great videos, really enjoy watching your channel. What Camera equipment are you using to film your vlogs and editing software? 🤠
What an Epic adventure Josh. You are an inspiration. 😀 I wonder if you used any French maps to plan your trip or if you just used Komoot?
Did you miss Etretat? It is a beautiful place, I've been there 2 times.
Still got my Fatty - brilliant bike
Enjoyed this: inspiring me to do something very similar (as I live in Sussex can make a nice loop).
Any one have any advice on French Rights-of-way and what we’re permitted to access on bicycle? Is it structured like Englands Foot/Bridle/Byway system or basically Right to Roam or somewhere in the middle?
Great video and trip, lovely. I wondered how you got back from Calais , did you ride?
That video is next :D
Love the story about the 90ish young rider. I’m 60ish and hope to be riding for many years to come. Thanks for the stories and the inspiration…
What were you using to charge your phone? I get using a battery pack but it will eventually run out, did you charge somewhere?
So just wondering how the bikes differ from the fat bike to the gravel bike?
how do you plan your routes?
Hello. Kamoot says route is private?
Where was the accordion music Josh ? :)
What are your bike setup and specs?
Even after the boneheadedness of Brexit, British cyclists are thankfully still free to ride in the EU. Josh is dead right about how France has surged ahead in cycling infrastructure compared to the UK. So much for British exceptionality. I say that with a heavy heart.
Get over it, the vast majority didn't want to be dictated to by a German run superstate. I lived in Germany for 5 years and have cycled extensively in Europe, and the cycling is good, and going to return.
@@macducati2304 I hope you're right, Mac. I don't mean to hijack a great bikepacking video but a 52 to 48 victory can hardly be hailed as a "vast majority" . As a UK citizen resident for decades in Italy (where cycling infrastructure is also improving fast) and a fervent European, I was doubly bummed because ex-pats were denied a vote despite being at the sharp end of all the Brexit fallout.
@@weeringjohnny I'ts pointless to keep complaining , look at Europe today, the rejection of the EUSSR grows, thankfully.
Josh, you found some"stereotypically French food" in the shape of croissants and baguettes but answer me this: did you come across a Ginster's?
One thing that annoys me the most in most of these videos isn’t really about the journey. It’s about the individual on the journey and narcissism. 90% of this video is you talking and the camera on you instead of the ride and landscape.
so don't watch you muppet
Thanks
Thank youu :D
