- Bringing to you my latest Rally/Adventure Bike Build based on the 2020 KTM 690 Enduro. I transformed this bike in order to be ready to ride the TET (Trans European Trail), do a trip in Morocco and take part in Rallies. Combining the world of Adventure Riding and Rally Racing was a nice challenge.

I can confirm: its a great kit! Have it on my 690 and love it. Did the F2R rally power box on a different way (modified the adventure plate to fit underneath the roadbook bracket), for me easier to connect/disconnect the ico's/roadbook so even when I take off the RB bracket, my rally power box stays in place, but that is a personal thing. Wind protection is great, very clean look even with 2 ico's on it.. definitely one of the best kits available!

I am a big fan of your builds. I have this bike and use it for Adventure riding so I really appreciate your additions. I am in Australia with little access to some of the parts you have there. I have made many similar mods with locally available products but nothing as professional as what you build. Superb.

@@JohnSer33 not in Australia, I ended up going for a semi tower set up from Britannia Composites out of Canada. Its was the Lynx R fairing.

Bellissima. Almost looks like my 690 Rally / Adventure bike in USA. Beautiful build. I like some of your ideas like fuse box with LED lights. Also the plastic water / fuel reserve on inside of engine guard.

Beautiful as always! To answer your question about the Garmin Montana mount, yes i think it's a good location as a back up GPS, as shown in this build, but it's too low for a primary GPS location. I like having it much higher up on the tower, wether Im sitting or standing, to make it easier to see and follow a .gpx track
Totally agree with you!! Unfortunately the roadbook and Tripmasters use so much space that its impossible to put it on the tower. PS. I am onto the CRF450L Full Graphic ;) will share rendering soon

Love your content. I would love to see a 640 adventure being updated to a more modern spec bike if possible. I think the old 640 is still a very capable bike and good value for money and it had a proven pedigree. Keep up the good work!

Now as someone who wants to build a rally/adv. version of the 701/690, if you had to only pick 5 parts to put on the bike what would you choose? (Nav. tower is a must and not included on the 5 parts)

Thanks!! Yes I actually have built a 2012 model last year with the same kit! Just the side panels are slightly different in order to match the previous model shrouds a photo was posted on the Rebel social media

Perche I collettori spesso sono non omologati per esempio dalla SC Project, qui volevo mettere il Tekmo ma anche quest’ultimo non è omologato. Presto però andrò Full ILLEGAL montando sulla Ténéré Akrapovic completo rimuovendo il DB Killer :p
Why handguard plastic is better than aluminium one?

Because in case of crash alluminium being much more rigid will cause your handlebar to bend easier than plastic which is flexible. Also in case of crash it’s safer for the rider for the same reason

Yes as it’s going to be used in rally racing crash bars can be dangerous for both the rider in case of crash but also with a hard hit they can damage the bike frame

No crash bars? One drop for this bike in offroad adventure will ruin the graphics and brake some parts

Why aren’t road books digital theses days? It seems archaic to be using a scroll, technology redundant for 500 years!
If you check my latest Sardinia Rally video and Ténéré video I used a digital Roadbook. The preference relies on the fact that digital if it shuts down you have no Roadbook whereas paper worst case scenario you can fix with some tape

I'd flip the nuts/bolts in the rear bag. They stick up and rub against things in the bag when your riding, they will make a hole in something after awhile
Totally agree I was planning on putting a ball head nut but didn’t manage to get them in time for the video! I put them this side up because didn’t have much space under as the 690 has the fender light quite big and the bolts the other way around would have rubbed against the stop light
