Yo, that cosplay duel against Malenia and Radahn was actually really freakin' sick. It was awesome that they just completely stuck with it, without swapping out weapons or anything. True to form artists!
I was summoned to a pvp version of the godskin duo. They would alternate between each other so one would throw black fire balls while the other does everything a godskin can do and vise versa
A friend and I are doing the same cosplay, running around with the taunter tongue active. Had a mini-freak out like “shit did we get invaded by chase and not remember it?”

I love the look of this thing, it’s literally a sharpened smithing stone.
The ancient dragon somber smithing stones are actually placidusax scales so that makes sense

For those interested, the ash of war for this weapons messes with Malenia’s targeting and knocks her prone on impact.
The second guy was doing an Omenkiller build I think, with the fire attacks and everything
I really like that Omen guys cosplay. They shoot fire so him being a reaver, like a special omen killer, with more fire attacks, is pretty dope. Plus his weapon art and spell switch ups were cool.
Also just so you know chase, a jumping r2 also comboes into an r1 with Heavy Thrusting Swords, not just a jumping r1!
(Or at least I’m pretty sure. Haven’t tested it myself, but have only heard here say).
And another tip, a jump attack against the crag blade leaves someone open for a guaranteed weapon art hit. If you see them jump use the weapon art, and if they do a jumping attack/ have prepped one, then they’re getting hit if you don’t charge it.
Chase, Heavy Thrusting Weapons have access to the heavy - feint - light moveset as well, super great to mix up opponents. You should try it out, charge a neutral heavy, cancel with the dodge button, then follow up. Super great for baiting in opponents!
Nice, this is one of the main weapons I'm going for in Invasions for my Dex character. Love the Showcases Chase, you're the man!
Is it viable making a dex character and not focusing on bleed?
@@HalcyonEX I haven't tried many invasions yet but in duels it seems to work- you just of course don't have as much damage potential with bleed procs and you miss out on proc staggers but otherwise you still deal a lot of damage quickly.
@@HalcyonEX both in pve and pvp ite very viable just gotta find a weapon that suits you and use good talisman, stat distributions, and armor.
The cragblade is an awesome looking weapon so it's great to see it put to work effectively. Thanks for showing it some love!
Ikr the weapon art is sick as heck
This weapon is rarely used for invasions, it's fully charged aow range is so far it melts people running away, it also is great for closing in gaps for mages
I call this the equalizer, my friend uses this weapon and for some reason it's my Bane mang..
I have a charged build using this and the crucible knight armour with the crucible knight spells for far and close range control

a tips for the ash of war. charging it makes it very easy to dodge. what i use it for is to trade when they get too aggressive and walk up to u and attack u. just tap it. its basically amazing to use everytime someone being aggressive close range cause u can poise through their attack and deal much more basically winning the trade easily. just tap it when theyre very close to u and if theyre mid animation its basically a guranteed outrade. hardswapping to it to suprise people also works insanely well and catches most people off guard. what makes its trades so deadly is how fast the tap is and how much hyperarmour u get. pretty much the only thing that breaks the hyperarmour is status effects getting activated besides that not even giant hunt can stop u.
As far as I know, only some boss attacks and death will knock someone out of the Cragblade's skill
Radahn and Malenia had to team up and still couldn't take Chase down. Absolute legend.
More like they couldn’t take down Chase *and* Radagon’s Red Wolf
Right the red wolf and at least three of the shamans
He clearly strungling if not for the wolf.. And both malenia and radhan weapon is easy to dodge

The mantis blade would be a cool weapon showcase, its heavy extends the blade so it's longer.
Doesn't extend with AoWs though so it's range actually sucks since this is "L2n Ring" lol.
How on earth did you get two DK Cragblades? I duplicated my Dragonlord remembrance but it won’t let me get another one? Did a friend drop that for you in co-op or something?

Highly recommend the seprentbone blade (the heavy attack is SO fun to use and procs the poison really fast) and glintstone kris both very unique weapons in their own way, and very fun to use in my opinion!.

Chase, for a future weapon showcase, could you do the elusive Noble's Slender Sword ? Very cool looking and great weapon, even though is painful to farm. I believe it has the highest range of all straight swords, gets an A scalling in dex, and an A in str if heavy infused.
And its only used by the most prestiged nobles of all
such an amazing weapon im really happy you decided to try it out it was super fun watching this video, also just a tip i found it amazing in invasions to throw players off if you switch the lock on and then let go of the trigger while in the thundercloud you’ll come out as soon as you let go so it’s great to trick people thinking you’re going for the host, then switch to the phantom and catch them off guard, and at a full charge it DESTROYS i’ve seen this thing do upward of 1900 with 80 dex
I'm glad you did this one. I had respected to use this earlier today and I enjoy your videos.
Mages seen to be openly terrified of the art on this thing. The fully charged art with Alex talisman will one-shot nearly everyone if you can land it. I found the running R2 to be fantastic and all this just reinforces Heavy Thrusting Swords as my favorite class of weapons. I ran it with a Brass Shield, I'll have to give Dual Wielding a go.
Fashion-wise, looks fantastic with the Malformed Dragon set, but that puts you under 61 poise. I might use the Bull talisman just to keep the look.

Awesome this is my second favorite weapon in the game and i never tried to duel wield it thank you for the idea chase !!! ✌️ The ash of war is difficult to land fully charged so I always do the shorter version as well and it causes havoc !!
one interesting thing about the thunder form ash i found is that you can freeaim it very well, you can do a whole U-turn with the full charge.

The hold version of the ash of war has weird tracking at close range, so it's best to use at a long distance like if you're chasing someone or to hunt the mage hiding in the back. But another thing you can do is only charge it partially to only cross a small distance, but that's a bit finicky
Chase! I would love to see an showcase on the pest’s glaives. I’ve been thinking of using them for my own build but wanted to see what you thought of the weapon itself!
I've been doing a quality build recently 55 STR and 80 Dex using this weapon and it was super good, glad you reviewed it! by the way, can you do Ghiza's Wheel next? I've been wanting to see a showcase of that weapon!

this is one of my favorite weapon for duells and invasions. if the ash of war connect its like the most sadisfying thing ever. I use the ash to trade almost all stationary cast or my opponent. The long range one can be used mostly with manual tracking, but its still hard to hit.
I’m loving these showcases, man! Have you experimented with the Grave Scythe? I did a grim reaper build using cold sword dance that was *super* fun.

The guy with the omen cleavers and pyromancy was pretty resourceful, pulling out spells, consumables, pots, different ashes of war. That was a fun one to watch!
Poor Jinx, she did not want to fight at all. :( That's why I like the duels better, I don't feel bad when it's over.
The Radahn/Melania duo were cool as hell! Was a fun fight to watch until the Red Wolf showed up and cut it short.
I think the weapon is great, but I'm a little sore about lightning-based weapons in this game because I have a lightning-based faith character and literally none of the lightning-based weapons or infusions scale with faith. So disappointing.

Lighting has more to do with dex than faith
Faith is holy and flame.
@@contaim7227 Yes, but you need faith to cast lightning incantations, too.
@@Edsabre thats just because theres a mixture of spells for faith, scaling wise that doesnt matter, lightning will scale up with dex, all lightning weapons scale with dex, not too sure about the dmg of lightning incants. From my testing thats based off your seal and buffs.
That Radhan / Malenia fight was awesome, i really like when players do things like this.

Been using this weapon on my dex/faith RL 138 character for awhile. wasnt expecting it to be as good as it is honestly, in the invasions I hit the AoW much more often than I should and otherwise is just a good AR heavy thruster.
I like that the cloud stuns people and makes them panic roll just to be hit by the big attack.

This weapon is so slept on it’s so cool with a great moveset.
I like Maliketh's blade. It's pretty cool. I pair it with the Black Blade dagger and it works
It’s interesting that the damage difference between 32/53 (base strength for the eclipse great shield) is only 24 AR less then 18/70
if you hold roll button while charging r2 it does a little backwards dash attack, in a similar fashion as the curved swords in ds3

Fun fact the ash of war of that weapon is really good against shield users it will break any shields stance

Hey chase as someone who is trying to improve their invasion prowess, any idea if their is a way to remove the annoying message notification when equiping a weapon you lack the stats for?
Kind of annoying switching to a str weapon you can 2 hand and having to go through the prompt.

I've never been knocked out of Thundering Cloud by other players. Only seen it happen with the Omen npcs in the Leyndell catacombs.
Is it okay being level 165 if i want to try new builds and such? Or should I reroll a new char and keep it level 120 / 130?

I have a charged build using this and bossting the lighting and chatge using lightning snd leaden physick, lightingg scropian,shard,geodfroy icon and erdtree plus 2, armour is crucible knight, incantations are crucible knight horns,breath,tail and flame grant me strength plus golden vow, and you cant be knocke dout of cloud so you can trade with comet azur, dual weapons, pretty much anything since the damage is 1800 to 2400, incats are strong as well
