- With the recent box set for the Star Fleet sessions release in mind, I decided to do a cover of this intergalactic, epic one-off collaboration between two of my all-time favorite guitarists on what was originally a children’s Sci-Fi animation show theme composed by Paul Bliss.
This was a challenge as any person would expect, trying to mimic two of the most inimitable legends, but nonetheless, here you can see/hear me duel myself, along with playing the synthesizers, and bass guitar. - Hudba
Wow. You are just so amazing. The level of talent and dedication in this is just awesome to watch. Great job!
Such a kind comment-thank you my friend!
this is sick ! subbed !!
Thank you so very much! 🙏
You sir...are living my dream...to play Edward's music with such proficiency.
Thanks for posting this.
I found this 45 in a small University radio station shelf while browsing around. Back in 1991. Cheers.
I can only imagine what that was like-digging around to happen across such a gem unexpectedly. Thank you for such kind words, and for watching my video! 🙏
It's difficult to put into words how I felt after watching this masterful performance. Every so often, some of the all-time greats come together on a whim and create musical magic. This was certainly the case way back in 1983, when Brian May picked up the phone and invited Eddie Van Halen (and a few other cats) to join forces with him for what would become known as the "Star Fleet Project". Deyan, hats off to you for capturing the essence of this momentous recording. You have once again demonstrated your true musicianship. Just one word in closing... EPIC! 👍🤟🤘
Sean, I’m humbled and indebted to you for such kind words! Makes all the work that goes into something like this worth it.

Wow!!!
Excellent work!
Great playing. And love the red special
Thank you! 🙏
Beautifully done, you recaptured some of the energy in the studio during the recordings. LOVE the flame top Red (not red) Special you have
Such a kind compliment. Though the energy in those original recording sessions was indeed pretty incredible and impossible to replicate, I tried to have fun with this little project and was hoping someone else would have fun listening to it. Thank you for watching and your words. 🙏 And yes, I’m very lucky to have my Guild Blonde Special! 😆
Great job! I'm always excited when you upload
What a kind and sweet comment! Thank you so very much 🙏🙏🙏
@@DeyanBraticafter watching a bunch of your other videos, I am amazed at your talent. Could you do tabs for some of your videos? (Dreamers ball)
@@angelahunt1574 “Dreamers Ball” will be the first “talking head”-type of video I have on the books. I’ve started pre-production on it. It’s the one I do get asked about the most, and I want it to be informative as well as even a bit entertaining. So I will get to it in the (hopefully) near future.
It might be worth saying that I handle all of everything you see/hear in these clips: director of photography, cameraman, sound/mix engineer, producer, video editor, as well as being the performer. Because of this, and the fact that it’s not my day job, I take FOREVER in completing my videos. I do them for my own fun and to get the word out about me and my channel. My plan is to eventually do less of the odd songs and more topic-oriented videos in the future. I really appreciate that you take the time to watch my videos, and I hope you’ll stick with this channel as it grows.
Short answer: it’s coming! 😂
@@DeyanBraticwow thank you for responding, you are one of if not the only person on CZcams who plays it perfectly. I love the end guitars and you play it with so much presision. And the evh/Brian May type guitar vids are so original, I think your channel will get big soon
@@angelahunt1574so kind! Thank you again. I hope you’re right! Stay tuned. 🙏
Wonderful ! thank you so much for posting Deyan
Very good !
And all this with no drum track? You have some amazing rhythm my friend! 👏
I’ll happily take that awesome compliment-thank you kindly, good sir! And thank you for watching my video. 🙏
Brian May is just a guitarist?? I'd say you are sadly underestimating him!! He wrote and played several iconic songs with Queen and has a very distinctive sound.
Astonishing playing buddy! Maybe time to try out Radicic custom pickups? 😁
That means very much coming from you sir! Thank you! Yes, I’m definitely interested in trying your pickups. Radicic?? Yep, I do believe that guy knows a thing or two about guitars. 😆
WOW. This is absolutely jaw dropping work, Deyan. Every detail is accounted for in stunning fashion -- the incredible guitar (and keyboard) tones, the masterful playing with every nuance, the amazing sound mix, and the professional video editing. And most of all, the overall vibe -- you just completely captured it, my man. INCREDIBLE!! 🤘🤘💥💥🔥🔥
Thank you for such kindness, Mike! Coming from a musician who routinely exemplifies all of those very praises as they pertain to his own work, I’ll happily take such an honor. 🙏🙏🙏
Deyan...awesome!!! Great to hear you peeling the paint off the wall!!
😂 Thanks, Tim! A compliment from you is high praise. Back to peeling more paint!
You really captured the two styles. I don't know if this is an original or cover but it was pretty awesome
It's always a pleasure to visit your channel.
Thank you, my friend! That means a lot. This is a song written by an English musician by the name of Paul Bliss, which was created for a kids’ Saturday morning television show in the early 1980s in England. He also composed all of the incidental music for the show’s 24 episodes. The story is that Brian May used to watch the show with his son and grew to enjoy the theme song, envisioning it as a great vehicle for rock guitar. A few years later during some rare downtime for Queen, he was in LA and called up his friends Edward Van Halen, Phil Chen, Alan Gratzer, and Fred Mandel. What came of the two-day studio sessions at the Record Plant ultimately became a three-track EP known as the Star Fleet Project.

Puno ti hvala, Radmila! 🙏🙏🙏
no string break on evh's part ? lol
😂😂😂 No, but I was worried at one point in this song!
EVH is a legend and Brian May is just a guitarist
Ah, I was looking for the most moronic statement on the internet and here it is! I found it!
Yeh, you wrote it yourself@@underthegreatwave
treat your head
Brian May is a Legend ... he writes hits, sings, plays the piano and the guitar ... his sound is unique and he made his own guitar ... He was Voted the No 1 guitar player by Guitar World ... he is part of the 2nd biggest selling band ever, second only to the Beatles ... he is an astrophysicist who has work on NASA projects ... he is a Dr and a Sir (knight) ... oh did I mention he is a super legend ... oh and the star fleet project was his
@@jeanlawley6483 Yeh, but still not as good as EVH. I don't care he is a Dr., what he is always showing. His succes is thanks to Freddie Mercury. He was the genius writing the songs and playing piano. And a great performer, with a voice out of thousends. Mr May can not even sing 1 note right.
