Cause they put the McLaren report on the table again? Well maybe. To be honest, Russian results at the 2014 olympics were surprising, coming from 3 gold medals in 2010 to 13 in their home games.
Now, the commentators are british, and who would want to highlight the suspicious progresses of Russia more than a country which's gone up from 9 to 29 gold medals between 2004 and 2012? :3
Russia's figure skating program improved a lot in the years since 2010 and they won a lot of the medals They took on two foreigners, Victor Ahn and Vic Wild, that were left for dead by their home federations. They hit the jackpot with them and both won multiple gold medals. Victor Ahn's presence also lead to a relay gold medal that would have never happened. The home sliding track gives an advantage because they could practice on it a million times. Tretyalok is the top skeleton guy in the world so him winning is expected. Legkov doesn't even train in Russia. Performances in biathlon, speed skating, hockey, were average to below average.
Take the recent Rio games. Despite massive scrutiny and not able to abuse TUES system and missing 100 athletes, still finished 4th in the medal count. They are simply a good sports country that is competitive in almost every sport. Theres no more doping in Russia than any other big sporting country. WADA is a politicized organization being used as a geopolitical weapon. Controlled by US and run by dopey Canadian and UK liberals trying to 'stick it to Putin'. They are also using lies about Russia to try to get more funding and control, a similar tactic of the defense industry.
Now because so many people are radicalized against Russia with propaganda they are willing to believe anything salacious without holding it to scrutiny. So now clean athletes who never failed anything get a shadow put on them while athletes from US etc can get away with murder.
