I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Thank you for making my December super wholesome and festive. Love you lot, see you in 2024 for many more good times!! 🎄🎄🎄
Have a good holiday Tim!
Happy new year 🥳
Happy holidays Tim
I’ve loved this series!
9:40 The Christmas Pickle actually originated in Germany, but many Americans also celebrate it now!
I'm not paying the repair costs if the McCallister's come looking 😶
love that tango and skizz were ADAMANT that die hard wasn't a christmas movie, and then when impulse is asked abt his favorite christmas movie he's just like ✨die hard✨
I need to see them debate about it in their next imp and Skizz podcast cause it gonna be so funny. XD
True best friends behavior
Pearl immediately knowing she had to clarify that thongs are a type of shoe is cracking me up
Grian may not be able to finish his own backs, but he did finish Santa's back, bless him
3:34
XDDDDD
hes giving back for everything santa gave him (pun intended)
I hope Jimmy continues this type of series, just chatting with friends while creating a small part of a town in every episode.
I really hope he does a specific biome build for the next collaborative project.
yeah, it's been very nice and cozy. kinda podcast-y vibes, and I love it. I love watching Jimmy hang out with different folks we don't usually see him hanging out with a ton outside the life series, like Tango and Skizz last time, and just kinda vibe and build stuff. Or Impulse this time around- they play a lot of the same stuff but I don't think they've played together a ton? Which I think is a bit of a shame, so I was very happy to see this episode.
Plus, I stand by that Jimmy's builds have improved a good amount since when i first started watching his videos, so i'm deffo not opposed to seeing him work on more town stuff with people :]
Yeah, like a crazy new year or like a crazy summer!
And he can extend the town to create a whole country with different themes lol
I agree! The vibe of these videos hits just right 🥰
Their reactions to the Santa and the collective “Tango?!?!” is so funny
An episode with Grian, Impulse AND Pearl?! This is gonna be great!! 😋
IKR
Impulse quoted a line from the Elf movie and I’m loving it!
If only scar and mumbo were here could have been a boatem reunion
I love Impulse keeping the magic alive in his little elf conversation hahaha very smart man
Impulse talking about his visits from elf of the shelf is one of the most wholesome things I’ve heard in a while 🥲
Aw, this was a very fun series and I'm sad to see it end. I'll miss Toy Town:(

My family is American but we lean really heavily into our German heritage. We learned about the Christmas pickle from our German relatives. It’s an ornament that our parents would hang on Christmas Eve and whoever found it got to open the first present Christmas morning. My brother used it to propose to his wife. He put the ring on the ornament and we all pretended to look and let her find it.
The Christmas Pickle is not a german thing at all ... that's made up ..
@@DyrasalI live in Wisconsin. Full of people from German descent. Lots of Christmas pickle here. Google gives two answers. Either it’s a tradition from old world Germany or it originated from a random story about a German-American soldier during the cilvil war. I’ve never heard the story from the civil war before but I do know it’s been passed down from generation to generation on my 100% German grandmothers side. So 🤷♂️
okay, I'm from Germany ..and this is just not a thing here .. soo...@@beatdj24
@@Dyrasalsorry to spoil your fun but it is definitely a German tradition to have a Christmas pickle.
@@Dyrasal believe what you want. As I said, we learned it from our German relatives so that’s my experience with it.
How has it been so many episodes and he still can’t explain the Christmas pickle correctly 😂
I was waiting for this to have Grian in it! Christmas town looks amazing!
Same dude
Me too!
I thought there was gon a be a episode with Grian and Scar
@@thegeoinnitreator Me too! I wish Scar was in this, his builds are always so amazing! And he’s hilarious lol
This series will not be complete until grian joins this series
The teleportation thing seems best. With all the time zones in the world Christmas isn't really just 24 hours, so you could combine the teleportation with getting really awesome gifts for you family. As soon as Christmas starts in like Australia you start teleporting and getting cool thing, like a fresh orchid from the Amazon Jungle, or some special food from Brazil, or some special perfume from Paris, etc.
The timezone thing is such a good point! Wholeheartedly agree with this
You’ve got literally 48 hours of travel. Free. It’d be great.
Plus, like they said- knowing what the best gift is isn’t the same as being able to give the best gift 😅. I bet a lot of people’s best gifts are fully unattainable and then you’re stuck knowing whatever you get them isn’t as good as it could have been
That’s exactly what I was thinking!
Using the time zones for an advantage is a big brain move, didn't think of that till I read it
This was the cutest little series! Hopefully there's another one next year!!
I hope he uses the same town!
He should definitely do this kind of series for other things too, like a halloween town would be really nice! Its like his kind of mini podcast in a way too, just building and hanging out with friends
For Grian's question, teleporting. Absolutely no question. Being able to visit all my friends and family on Christmas would be amazing.
My thoughts exactly. I moved to a new continent, away from my family earlier this year, (I did move to join my spouse, but still) and Christmas was kind of a big deal for us. If I could teleport to visit back home, for free, I know *I* would be the best possible present. 😎
Especially because knowing the perfect present doesn’t mean you can afford it, what if they want a new house or something 😂
It might just be me who thought this but what about visa problems 😅
@@dawnthenightlightfury1195 visa authorities trying to track you down?
✨Teleport Time✨
@@dawnthenightlightfury1195 i was thinking this too, he said it has to be fully legal so…
I feel like everyone was waiting for Grian lol
Loved the cosy vibes of this one, would love to see another similarly styled series like this in the future, as I think we're all sad to see it go
Merry Christmas everyone!
so sad to see it end but it was a great series! Probably one of my favorites. Thanks for the wonderful year, jimmy!
Finally, Grians crazy chaos is gonna make this so fun!
When there's a pearlescentmoon, you know it's gonna be a good episode
9:40 The Christmas Pickle supposedly originated in Germany, but no one really knows where it came from! I believe the tradition celebrated the most in the US though.
The tradition is that someone hides a small pickle ornament in the tree and everyone else has to find it. The person who finds it gets an extra present/gets to open a present early. (Depends on which one your family does)
For my family, we had a package of Andes Mints and me and my sister would try to find the pickle so we could get the package. I never found the pickle, but she always shared with me so it never really mattered too much. I miss those times.
I have german origin and we did this! However, instead of the pickle being hid on christmas eve, we did it in the mornings and whoever found it first got to open the gifts first.
I have German family and I haven't heard of a Christmas pickle until this series
Im german and i have never heard of the chrismas pickle before gem and kathrine,i promise you,i could ask every single person i know and they'd all look at me as if im crazy
@@sunnytabby hmm, I’m not sure then. Maybe it’s a regional thing?
@@MoonlitBookworm73no, it’s not a thing at all in Germany. The Christmas pickle coming from Germany is a known myth. Wikipedia has a more likely explenation
I already love watching Impulse but he's now earned brownie points bc he likes Pentatonix 😊
Idk if pearl might’ve forgotten to mention, or if it’s a selective experience here in Australia, but we also get Christmas hats. They’re basically really thin coloured paper-towel-like crowns that come out of Christmas crackers. Christmas back then was much fun, everyone hanging around the BBQ in the hot sun wearing all these silly little crowns, the colours dripping down faces and necks due to sweat. Good times.
We also get them in the UK! Not sure abt US tho
@@joegoff1895 Christmas crackers in general aren't a thing over here. I only know about the hats and crackers from Harry Potter, as a kid I thought they were talking about, like, food crackers lol
oh i love those, we get them all over in the uk lol
@@joegoff1895we have them in Canada, and I've heard of it in the US as well
This was such a good series, I’m sad it’s coming to an end but I’m excited to see what comes next! Hopefully we get a season 2 next year 😊
I was genuinely considering teleporting into a bank vault for Grian’s question, and was SHOCKED when he just read my mind 30 seconds later
I gotta say Jim, this was a fantastic series, and I hope it returns next year. A stroke of pure genius.
Please do something like this again at some point, it was so wholesome and chill and I enjoyed it very much
Knowing just everyone’s perfect gift is so OP, y’all’re CRAZY for wanting to teleport once a year only on Christmas. Imagine what you could do with knowing EXACTLY what someone wants-that would open so many doors for you all year round.
sad to see that this series ended but hopefully there is another one next year!! Happy holidays and Merry Christmas everyone!! Hope you all have a great day and holiday!!🎄🎄❤💚💜
For Grian's WYR: Definitely the gift one. My sister is fantastic at picking out gifts for people, and some of the nicest, joyous, most useful things I've ever gotten came from her. I'm not very creative at all, but I like making people happy, so being able to know someone's ideal gift would really come in handy.
Of course teleportation is super cool, but it being limited to Christmas Day makes it not worth it imo.
My whole family really loved this series 😍🎄 Thank you all for a little bit of magic, a little bit of joy, & a lot of laughter this holiday season ❤️
I’d definitely go with the teleportation. My partners are literally on opposite ends of country so being able to spend time with both of them on Christmas would have been the best gift I could ever have asked for
Definitely teleportation. Knowing the best present for everyone sounds good, but that doesn't mean you can afford/provide the best present for a person, let alone everyone.
Can confirm, as an American, I know people who do Christmas Pickle. For Pearly's "why a pickle" it's because it's green to match the tree and just generally funny to find. Prize can be first gift or a bunch of lottery scratcher tickets
Impulse was describing my Christmas intirely and Jim was like, “What?! That’s crazy! So cool!” And I was just like, “bruh” 😂
This was an amazing series for the season it was nice and chill ❤. Can’t wait too see what’s in store for next year!
Pearl be honest. Our traditions are going to the beach, getting black out drunk, waking up on the sand in the morning and getting ready to repeat it on New Years Eve.
Impulses sight seeing tradition reminds me of when i was little. My grandparents use to drive me around like that, and when your a kid its the best. Feels like the whole world is the north pole even if it isnt snowing
What an amazing series Tim!! Thanks so much for all the fun ! ❤
I hope you do this again next year. This series was very fun to watch!
Impulse deflecting the conversation deftly away from the dead people polar express was next level skill 😂😮
I loved watching this series! I hope it returns next year!
Yay! Grian!
It really feels like listening on a podcast which is so wholesome. Hearing other's traditions is so cool like I can imagine how would it look like and seem to feel like experience it and it is lovely. I absolutely love this series and once again Merry Christmas to all! :)
So sad this is ending!! Was such a fun series!! So many lovely builds and even more amazing conversations!! Thanks for the good vibes
So with Grian’s would-you-rather, knowing what everyone wants and being able to teleport around the world for one night? If you pick both options you can become Santa Claus, or the next Amazon.
On another note, this series was a joy to watch :)
Teleportation- a lot of peoples "best present" is going to be like buy them a house, or a ferrari or get their dead dog back. Stuff I can't do. If I can teleport, I can see a bunch of people and have multiple christmas lunches.
Id love the teleportation for christmas, cause I could then get presents for friends and family around the world, and deliver it like santa
Grian by far is the most mischievous one that helped build toy town
I loved the wholesome podcast vibes of this series. Even if I don't celebrate Christmas it was great to get to know about how people celebrate their holidays in general in other countries. Hope to see more such series! Happy holidays everyone!
Ok but think about this catch with the perfect gift. Most people's perfect gift you probably could not afford.
this mini series was amazing Jim! I really enjoyed this and how chill it was :) Your building has improved soooo much!!
My family do two Christmases - we host a Swedish Christmas on the 24th and an Australian Christmas on the 25th at the same location, and all the family come to both. So I wouldn't want teleportation because it doesn't help with the 24th, and travelling interstate means staying over at the house where both Christmases are located anyway. The presents one is super useful though. It kills me to give up teleportation, but Christmas Day is the one day of the year where I wouldn't even use it!
I love how they talk about Pentatonix then Pitch perfect especially given Pentatonix cameoed in Pitch Perfect 2 (for those who don't know they were team Canada in the competition)
The Christmas pickle started in Germany and has slowly spread as a Christmas tradition. If you find it you get to open 1 gift early.
I love how many times Jimmy made a build and restarted it over and over
again
I'm so glad that Grian said Muppet's Christmas Carol, it's my favourite Christmas film and I've been waiting for someone to say it!!!
Teleportation hands down. The best gift I can get for my mum is specific food from Italy that she really misses from her holiday, and the best gift I can give my friends across countries is myself. Bopping around everywhere is fantastic
Sad to see it end, It was a great series! (btw Out of all the builds Santa is still my favorite!!)
My would you rather answers:
1. Being able to run 3x as fast
2. Teleport anywhere in the world only for christmas day
I FREAKED out when I heard Grians favourite Christmas movie is a muppets Christmas carol. Literally the ultimate Christmas movie.
I am so happy that Grian said that! That movie is one of top ones ever.
Omg this is literally the team I dreamed of especially with Jim, pearl and Grian (also love impulse) but I love their dynamic so much, both all four but also Grian and Jim and Grian and pearl!!🫶
Would really love to another series like this, was great fun to watch!
“DUDDEEEE DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS” is so wholesome i love it!! 20:41
Jim left out joels “big a** tree!” In the tour 😂
That "Would you rather" conversation was a good one, but I have to say that I would choose the teleportation as well. I live in the US, and some of my family (parents, siblings, etc) live 1200 or more miles away. Just a chance to pop in and see them for an hour or two, even if my husband and kids couldn't join me, would be amazing.
literally punched the air when muppet christmas carol finally got a mention. peak of cinema in my opinion
Thanks for making this series, really added some Christmas vibes to Minecraft this year
These episodes were fun. I hope you'll do something similar in the next year. It is so fun to just chill and hear you talk about random irl stuff. Best of wishes for 2024!
I looked forward to new releases of this series every day. Please continue to do these every year!! Merry Christmas💗💗
Grian gave Santa a back. He’s grown so much!
Yayy!! thank you for returning this series!!
I would rather be able to teleport anywhere in the world, I don't have much friends but I know very well those who I have, so choosing Christmas presents isn't that hard; also I'm sure my friends wouldn't mind that ability for me even if it means I'm leaving them behind for a day
Thank You Jimmy this is one of the best series of the year I apreciate you your ideas and collabs. I can't wait to see what content happens this next year happy holidays and happy new year Jimmy!!! ❤
This was the easiest would you rather for me. Knowing the best gift for everyone I know would make my life so much easier! I stress myself out a ton around the Holidays because I never know what I should get people. I try to make notes throughout the year but most of the time my people get those things for themselves. So now I make notes of folks favorite food, drink preferences, activities they enjoy, etc., so that I can get them a consumablr gift they will use. I think I have a good formula down, but I would be happy to have that extra insight especially for my closest loved ones.
I can see why being able to teleport on xmas day would be nice, but that's not necessarily something that would make my life better.
We have a pickle ornament that has been in the family for at least 4 decades. We have hid the pickle every Christmas for as long as I can remember, but we were always told it was a tradition from our Welsh great grandmother. Who knows at this point.
I am American and my Mimi did the Christmas pickle thing with our family when I was little. it was an ornament and whoever found it first on Christmas got the extra gift!
3/4 boatem!! Sad to see this series go. Happy holidays Jimmy!
16:00 I've been the driver in this scenario! Was just turning into the driveway and instead of turning it just drifted on. Was not fun but I didn't panic and it all ended up alright. Lighter cars are worse as they don't get good traction. Sometimes it's just better to stay home when the roads are bad!
One problem with being able to teleport but only on Christmas day is getting stuck halfway around the world because of time zones and its not Christmas there anymore or of time zones don't matter, just forgetting to teleport home before time is up
So I obviously choose best gift knowledge
I am truly convinced that if Impulse and I were in a situation where we could get to know each other we will be really good friends! Watching his videos, podcasts and interactions with others we have very similar interests! Very cool! I loved this series Jimmy! Very cool to see everyone come together and just hang out talking about stuff! Great group of people!
I really enjoyed this series and the people in it, it was so lively and fun and really made my December great.
Good work Jimmy
The Christmas pickle originated from Germany. It is a common tradition in my family, and it’s been passed down for generations. The elf on the shelf originated from tompten little elves with beards that would watch over the farm. To thank them, you would leave a bowl of porridge out on Christmas as a thank you to all their help. This tradition originated in Sweden.
Grian NEVER stimulated that you couldn't teleport you and your family together in the 'would you rather'
The Christmas pickle tends to be even more localized to Eastern Canada. I have friends in Western Canada and have never heard of it.
Source: Me. Am a Newfoundlander and actively threw hands over the Christmas pickle.
Please make this an annual event! Loved it and it was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit. Thank you!
Sad to see this series come to an end. Hope to see it back next year!! My answer was know the best possible present, because I always go to my grandparents who live down the road!!
This was a fun series to watch, seeing all the different the people and having a fun chill time together.
The Would you rather got me thinking, specifically the teleportation one. With Christmas Day starting and ending at different times around the world, when would your power begin or end?
Would it be dependent on the place where you live?
Or would it include all the time that is perceived as Christmas Day?
If it’s the latter, than your power would be longer than 24 hours, starting from when the first Christmas Day begins to when the last one ends.
After watching these episodes it really got me thinking about what my favorite Christmas movie is. I’ve never really had one, but recently I’d have to say it’s Christmas in Connecticut. A close friend of mine introduced it to within the last couple of years and it immediately shot up as one of my favorites. It’s a movie from the 40’s that has a such a charm to it that I feel a lot of modern movies don’t really capture. Every character is likable and EVERY joke lands (my friend and I spent the entire month making our Discord statuses quotes from the movie). It has the right amount of cheesiness to it that anybody could enjoy!
It makes perfect sense that their favourite Christmas films are:
Impulse: diehard because it’s controversial
Grian: A MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CHRISTMAS CAROL
Pearl: polar express (and its uncanny animation)
Honestly, I would go for teleportation on Christmas if I had friends internationally like this group does. You could pop in to America, Australia, England, etc. and see all your online friends that you’d normally have to pay out the nose to visit. Loved the series! It was a charming idea for the Christmas season :)
To know the best present for everybody. Not only is it really useful for friends & family, you might actually make lots of money with it once you get a reputation.
Especially rich people will pay you a lot for that knowlege. And it's not only christmas presents.
Teleporting is nice but unless you plan to rob a bank, the frequency will be to low to matter. And robbing a bank is quite risky nowdays. Teleporting 1/year would be better than fly for risk adverse people but most people are safe on christmas.
And knowing the best present for everybody makes the world a much nicer place.
Teleport. And diehard is 100% a Christmas movie.
For the would you rather, on the first one I 100% agree with Grian. Flying at 75% speed. It can spare you anything from just tripping and eating dirt in your backyard, to having to float to be quiet and hide from someone, to having to use the stairs whilst your legs are hurting, to falling off the side of a building or cliff - not to mention 75% isn't actually _that_ bad considering you literally get to fly. With running at 300%, meanwhile, you're just setting yourself up for injuries and/or death.
HOWEVER.
I 100% agree with teleportation for the second one. Besides the fact that I have friends all over and traveling is tedious & something I can't physically or financially afford... Just because you _know_ everyone's best possible gift doesn't mean you're able to get it. It may be too expensive, or unobtainable generally - or maybe it was to have someone to spend time with on Christmas, in which case that'd just... be rather frustrating knowing that the other option would've been exactly what they needed. And also Sad,,,
Only caveat that concerns me is the time limit on it being _on_ Christmas- I've got quite a bit of time blindness so I could see myself getting stuck on another continent potentially which would...not be good to say the least.
Hi Jimmy!!! I loved this series, thank you for making it, it was so much fun!!!
Sad that this series is already ending, but I hope you'll do this again next year! Happy Holidays Jimmy!
This was such a lovely, wholesome series and I loved every minute of it ❤
For 'would you rather' I would probably choose the knowledge of what to get everyone before Christmas Day just 'cause that would be so cool, as much as I love the idea of teleportation. Also, me and the family watched Die Hard on Christmas - 100% a Christmas movie for me and a great one too 😄
I'll take teleportation easily. I don't have the money to buy everyone their perfect gifts. To be able to teleport to my relatives in the Philippines and Australia would make them quite happy to see me. I don't have a spouse/kids at this time so I've got no one in particular to consider leaving behind
I’m with impulse on diehard. I have very easy criteria for what makes a Christmas movie a Christmas movie.
1. The entirety of the movie takes place during the Christmas season
2. There are obvious Christmas themes in the form of scenery, dialog, or music throughout.
Diehard passes. So does lethal weapon and gremlins.
You know what is less christmas-y than die hard? White Christmas. The last scene is it.
Anyhoo, it doesn’t matter if other people don’t like die hard as a Christmas movie. If you do, and it’s a traditional thing to watch in your house in between the home alones, Christmas vacations, Christmas stories, elf’s, muppet Christmas carols, grinches, rudolf, the Santa Clauses, etc like it is in my house good. If not, don’t ruin someone else’s joy over it.
Ps. The pickle thing was new to us but I did find a pickle shaped ornament a few years ago and painted Rick’s face on it.
