  • @elizabethfletcher1487
    @elizabethfletcher1487 Před 4 lety +8

    How cold? Well that is going to depend on where you live since it is depending on the cooling effect caused by the evaporation rate of water. If you live in a very dry place, this little cooler probably (I don’t have one, I just do physics) works very, very well. If you live in high humidity like swamp country, it will do much less well. It works like your sweat works to cool you. If the day is hot but dry, you feel pretty good as long as you drink enough water so you sweat enough to allow nearly instant evaporation from your skin. You feel pretty good. If the day is hot but muggie (sticky damp), your body will try to cool itself by sweating but all you get is nasty sweaty clothes. Definitely not pleasant. In Oklahoma, USA, the big window swamp coolers used there work great in the dry heat of the day and into the early night but by about 4 AM your sheets were glued to you because the outside air being drawn through the cooler had picked up a lot of moisture from the abundant vegetation. In A town near Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, where the ambient summer humidity never topped 3%, I was always comfortable and dry if I could just get in the shade. When I drove to nearby Las Vegas for groceries where the daytime humidity was 11% due to watering golf courses, I thought I was going to die of the heat even though I was still not sweating enough to wet my clothes. Hope that made sense and helps. Oh, one more thing. You put water in this, which evaporates, cools the air, then goes where? In the little room where it is, raising the ambient humidity so the little cooler will get less and less efficient. Personal coolers of this type but holding a couple of gallons of water were used in the 1950s and I remember the joy of being in a house with one of them. I distinctly remember that house windows were always left slightly open to keep the ambient air moisture down.

      This probably the most helpful and optimistic explanation for one of these I've heard. Thank you so much for your input. California is going through an unbearable heat wave right now. I just checked the weather and while the humidity is pretty high in the mornings, during the middle of the day it gets lower and the air just becomes hotter and dryer. So, thanks so much for this input; I think I would definitely like to get one of these; maybe not necessarily for an entire room (hence, a PERSONAL cooler, not a ROOM cooler), but rather just for my desk space that gets really hot because of my computer and my monitors. Thanks again!

      Our evaBREEZE technology ensures that no mold can form on our filters, so you really don't need to clean it. What we recommend is using clean and filtered water so that your filter stays fresh for as long as possible.
      Lower water temperature doesn't make a difference on the output due to the working principle of the unit. Saying that, ice isn't needed :).
      As for the instructions - we believe that our recent iterations have been a huge leap compared to what was before, the standard of our new manuals is at a high point as of now, but we always listen closely to the feedback so that we can continue perfecting it even further.

      @ffdd6102 Před 4 lety +2

      @@hypedtoxic4883 you obviously dont know anything about how AC works. The whole point of your AC is to cool down the air temperature and to remove moisture out of the air which is extreamly important on how the air temperature feels to you. If the air temperature in a room is cool but the humidity level is high you will feel warmer than the actual air temperature because your body has a harder time evaporating the sweat off your skin. This device will only cool the air IF the humidity in the room is low and in the same time add humidity to the room. If the relative humidity in the area is high this will not cool the air at all and Probably just add more humidity in the room which will make the situation even worse. Look up how swamp coolers work and why they are not used in place of AC most of the time because this is just an overpriced miniature swamp cooler

    Not a lot of good here in the UK. We do, believe it or not, get some pretty hot summer days, but they never come without stifling humidity. The last thing I would want is something humidifying the room in a summer UK heatwave.

    • @Evapolar-air-conditioner
      @Evapolar-air-conditioner Před 2 lety

      Hi!
      Our devices are most effective in relative humidity not exceeding 70%: the reaction of cooling the air with water evaporation occurs when the air is dry and hot.
      Therefore, we recommend that our customers from countries with high humidity use Evapolar coolers in tandem with a classic air conditioner: for example, it cools the room to 77-90F°/25-27°C, lowering humidity at the same time, and Evapolar cools the person himself/herself.
      So, they're good for using in UK, as well!

      As specialists in this field, we can state with authority: evaporative cooling definitely works, it is a common physical phenomenon. The human skin, when you sweat, is cooled thanks to it. An evaporative cooler can cool you down, blowing directly at you with the air which is 18°F cooler that the initial one.

      Hi there!
      Evapolar devices have been designed as personal units. Thus they are intended to create your local area of comfort instead of cooling the whole room as split systems perform. And the thing that makes Evapolar different from a regular fan is that the air is actually chilled before it hits your body.
      So the best way to use Evapolar is to put it on your desk, bedside table, or any other place you spend lots of time, and let Evapolar blow the refreshing cool air directly to you. Thus, it is perfect for both the living room/bedroom and the van/car. The size of the room does not matter.
      And that's what matters: due to being evaporative, the coolers work most effectively in hot, dry air (relative humidity

      @Due Diligence Yep. It is just a swamp cooler and won't actually cool your room at all.

    • @Evapolar-air-conditioner
      @Evapolar-air-conditioner Před 2 lety

The size of the room does not matter :)

    I just bought this on amazon. The year is 2024 and the machines are becoming self aware. Skynet is taking hold. Yet the only thing that bothers is my new unit doesn't have usb-c, but micro-usb. Why does a 4 year old video have usb-c but I can't get it!!

    You don't want to use purified water. All it does it throws the minerals back in the air which is not good. Use distilled water instead. Thank me later.

    How does it humidifi if it doesn't mist water??

    • @Evapolar-air-conditioner
      @Evapolar-air-conditioner Před 2 lety

      Hi! The water evaporating from the pads of the filter humidifies the air, but that's not a visible mist. If you compare two rooms with 30% and 70% relative humidity, you won't see any mist in the second one, but the hygrometer will show the difference :)

    Only work in dry areas, otherwise it's just as useless as a regular fan.

    • @Evapolar-air-conditioner
      @Evapolar-air-conditioner Před 2 lety

This will also significantly reduce your electricity costs :).

    • @YUZOOOA
      @YUZOOOA Před 2 lety

      Evapolar still, it’s just an air humidifier lol $99 for one that size is just overpriced. Bought a much larger one for about the same price.

      Singapore will be too humid for this to work. You do realise this is just an evaporative cooler... you'd be better off drying your washing indoors with a pedestal fan...
