You've completely ignored any factual information about the amendments to the broadcasting act that are being talked about. Canadian content regulations have been with us since the 80's. Those regulations created the vibrant local music industry we have today. It also helped Canadian TV content get created and distributed to the public on Canadian stations. C-10 is being brought it so that streaming services can't ignore the Canadian content rules anymore. The CRTC can't remove individual videos from CZcams for any reason. They don't have the reach to do that and won't have the reach after the bill passes. They will have the power to mandate YT to promote and showcase Canadian creators and videos rather that those from the US or elsewhere. Your channel, Pug1 or any other Canadian creator will see a boost in promotion and exposure on social media within Canada. There is absolutely no mechanism for the government to remove videos or social media posts that go against their platform. Social media will simply have to simply follow the rules that tradition media in Canada follow. There is currently and always has been a fair amount of negative press towards the government regardless of who was in power. It has never been suppressed.
Let me explain myself and the video, in it I talk about how this Bill has been around a long time, and talk about how the only issue I see is with the proposed changes, not the bill itself. I also mention the fact that we are currently under removal order from Canada back to the UK. So theoretically it matters not to me, but potentially more to our Canadian audience. I am not a Canadian creator by definition. The new uploading procedure to CZcams, has a who knows how many point checklist/self questionnaire for ad suitability? Theoretically it would not be difficult for YT themselves to vet the content more stringently to fit whatever is deemed suitable. If the Canadian government tells YT they don't want to promote a certain type of video, they wont, they are a business into making money. YT will not go against the grain of a government, they do not have the backbone or motivation. As for deleting content with the new proposed rulings a person would have 24 hours to remove their own content after flagging. Saying Trudeau or the government will directly delete your content, would be preposterous. What I am saying is (worse case Ontario) is that the social media platforms will only promote what fits the current social narrative. Its easy to loose things into the algorithms, never to be seen again. Many times on YT there have been unexplained targeted campaigns against small creators, who loose their ability to voice their opinion for no explainable reason. I believe this could lead to more of that, with as many disdainers out there. Remember, that's worst come to worst. I am not saying this will happen, I am asking people to decide for themselves. The wording used in the proposed changes is pretty open and broad, meaning that it can encompass just about any media you can think of. This is something we have not seen before, and sounds in its worst form something akin to Intranet than Internet. I know there's a lot of if's and but's, but.... The traditional media you speak of is taxpayer funded government media. Social media shouldn't be censored like traditional media for good reason. Government funded media is not in Canadians best interest.

As much as @rmacsr probably thinks I have some special ability to remove mine myself (because I'm all butthurt about the thumbs down or something).... The option is still there to remove or show, but it'll only show likes now. I have no influence in that whatsoever. It takes time to roll out all these changes, I have the dislikes removed on this channel but don't have the extra CZcams shorts options a lot of people have already.
