Pe'ahi from the channel. I used my iPhone to capture these shots. There was so much action it was impossible to get it all. Robby Naish and crew windsurfed Pe'ahi and then wing foiled back to the harbor.
How much of a hassle to surfers are the windsurfers? As far as man and nature, surfers should always have priority, in my view. A windsurfer in a wave is one step down from motorized propulsion in a wave.
Here on Maui anyway, surfers have the right of way on the waves. When the big sets rolling in there is a lot of positioning going on. I think most show respect to each other but sometimes signals are crossed and rider end up on the same wave.
great stuff thank u
Stay safe out there!
Ha! I saw you winging out there. I was up on the cliff.
That was Robby and Michi. I was on the boat.
who went over the falls???
I think it was Yuri Soledade

@Callme Ishmael - So with that logic a tow-in surfer using a jetski should give way to a windsurfer?
@@windsurfer Only if the surfer were towed _through_ the wave
@@callmeishmael3031 what’s towed through a wave?
@@windsurfer If they don't let go of the rope.
