How amazing is this story. The fact that he said he was going to help his buddy and his buddy's mom out financially because of their inability to work right now speaks volumes about this young man. This was an unfortunate accident. Thank you, Dave and crew, for helping this young man out. That speaks volumes about the men you all are. Blessings on you all from Proctor Minnesota!
@@PatientXero607 That's one way to look at it. Not sure how many times you've been around people almost killed and it's your fault but most learn the necessary lesson.
@@PatientXero607 You need a hug
@@PatientXero607 Cut the kid some slack. Working while going to school and has been raised right to want to give all his earnings to his friend and friend's family, so he seems able to learn from his mistakes. As far as expensive brands, he works at a golf club (high end from the looks of it) and they probably have uniforms for employees. The Jeep was used and had been wrecked and put back together (badly) so he probably got it for a good deal.
@@troycurrie7784 Good eye; the clothes he wore earlier in the video didn't appear to be overly extravagant or expensive and Dave went to his work place to hand over the jeep, where the lad was clearly wearing a uniform (I didn't know it was a golf club though). Heck, the hat had STAFF written on it!
As you said; Its clear he felt and took responsibiluty for what happened and I commend him for going the extra step by freely giving his wages to his friend and the friend's family while the lad is unable to work.
I personally think Max worked and saved to buy that jeep and I also saw there were some previous (and poorly) repaired damage to the vehicle that MIGHT have assisted in the tumble..
@@PatientXero607 I'm more surprised that you couldn't put 2 and 2 together that the clothes he was wearing was a work uniform. He obviously works for the Golf course you could plainly see in the background including golf carts.
He seems like a good kid that genuinely feels horrible for causing injury and inconvenience to his friends and their families. It's not often you hear someone forking over their wages to pay for someone being out of work until the have been sued for it. Especially when they are probably making 8 dollars an hour, which Max probably is.
I think what you did was so nice and very generous. He's a good kid who made a mistake, and he's paying back his buddy's lost wages. This speaks to his remorse and character. Lesson learned. You're an angel to help him out.
I think you guys did an amazing job that kid will never ever forget that and he sure will play it forward it's amazing what you guys did keep up the good work be safe out there and have fun not many people like you left in this world
No kidding!! That kid is doing more than anyone could ever ask for after something like that happened. He is well deserving of what Dave and the crew did for him, I don't see why any one would ever be mad about what they did for him. I'm sure Dave helped maxes prayers come true for sure.
Good job I 100% agree with you the kid deserved it you did the right thing and I don't think a GoFundMe for his friend is out of the question look into it and I'll dono if you think it's the right thing
It is great that he is taking accountability for his mistake, and Dave helping him.
A ministry of diesel in a sense.
The fact that this kid works directly after that,to make sure his friend is covered for his lost wages..shows you straight away what a good kid it is... he deserves what you guys give him..
agreed.
Your passion and dedication a lesson for us all. Great work.
That kid truly deserves everything good that comes into his life. A well-mannered, genuine, and good-hearted kid. I tip my hat to his parents for raising such an awesome young man. Congratulations Young man, You deserve it pal.
Heavy D is such good guy. One of the rare ones who restore the faith in humanity at least a bit
Agreed!!!🙂
Thanks you guys.
Agreed, like I just told my wife, Even though he made a gigantic mistake with established titles, it's things like this that restores his name
Shame he tried to sell us a scam then isn't it, and still won't take the video down.
Not hard to be a good guy in his financial position
Amazing he is working to help his friends family with lost wages!!! No 16 yr old thinks about others like that nowadays!!! He absolutely was deserving of what you guys did for him!!! That's a good man right there, I won't even call him young... he is selfless beyond his age, and understands the consequences of his actions!!! Way to go Sparks !!!!
Apparently they do think that way
What a great guy you are
Wish I had someone like this to help me with my RV or my truck that I live in full time.
❤❤❤❤❤
Good parenting is what that is. Kids today are lazy just want to play video games
This kid ABSOLUTELY learned his lesson, AND is doing his best to make things right. There’s definitely more lessons learned than the obvious.
Dave, you’re such an awesome guy! Genuine people person. May God continue to bless you, your family, and everyone in your circle bro!
Owning a Jeep Wrangler myself, I understand how devastated this young man must have been. His concern for his hospitalized friend is admirable. And his gratitude to the team for recovering and reconstructing his Jeep is a joy to witness. Yet another heartwarming story of how Heavy D and the Team selflessly share their time and resources to do amazing feats of generosity and goodness. They provide inspiration and a much-needed testament to the goodness of mankind. He and his incredible team are truly angels on Earth. Three things I like about Heavy D include his incredible selflessness, kindness, and compassion. But that wouldn't be complete without adding heroism, courage, strength, intelligence, integrity, and perseverance; yet also vulnerable, loving, and protective. Let's face it, he's an incredibly beautiful man in every way, that anyone would be honored to be friends with.
This kid has a great head on his shoulders and knows the consequences of his actions and is taking responsibility. He has parents that teach values and shows true appreciation. This is the type we need in the next generation.
That is the type that simply is few and far between and you would think just doesn't exist anymore in today's world. I'm so glad to see it myself too because it is extremely encouraging and gives me Faith in humanity once again.
Agreed. I can’t imagine him not selling the Jeep immediately to pay hospital fees.
At 75 years old, widowed & a Vietnam vet who is disabled. Thank you Dave and crew for all you have done for this young man. He is well worth your time and effort. God bless y’all.
Thank you for your service bb watcher❤❤❤❤❤
You guys are unreal. Nice to see that there’s still people in this world willing to help others instead of take take take.
You realize that this is paid for by sponsors and they're only doing this for videos
I was stunned by the level of personal responsibility that kid showed toward his friend's and family. Awesome job by Dave and the crew.
My hats off to Max’s parents; that’s a fine young man you raised.
Heavy D and the crew are the kind of people we need more of in the world
soooo... you really think the person who faked that crash, is going to wait 5 to 6 days to call another towing company to retrieve it?
@@Andy-gti What are you speculating about 🤣
Three nice things for Dave.
1. You have a heart of gold.
2. You genuine care about those around you.
3. Your a work a holic!!! Get some rest buddy.
The whole team sparks gets to be part of what you do, and thats special.
There is no lesson to be learned. He was helping a friend and a friends mom. This kid deserves everything you did for him. Some of us don’t have anybody in life to help us in a time of need! Good job guys!
The lesson could Maby be learn to read the terrain better. That narrow sketchy stuff is no joke
There’s not enough room or time to tell you how much I respect and admire what you and your team do for people. There are very few men in the world that would do that for that kid and all the other people you help and other things you do that most wouldn’t even think of. I’m old and disabled but I try to help people when I can. It’s only small things but I’m sure it helps in a small way. My brother passed away last Oct over and he wanted me to have his 92 Toyota pick up that he loved more than anything else. While he was in hospice someone stole his truck. The police found it abandoned. They tore it up broke the steering column and ripped out all the wiring. It’s now sitting in a shop in Hemet ca they have supposed to be fixing it but every time I call nothings been done. But I promised my brother I would get it fixed and keep it, so that’s what I’ll do. Just one of my small things I’ll eventually get done. Seeing what you do inspires me more to keep going and fulfill my promise to him. Keep up the awesome things you do and I’ll try to keep doing my small ways to help people when I can. If everyone did these small things and keep spreading the help it makes the world just a little bit better. I’ll keep watching you to help me keep helping when I can. Thanks to you and your crew! God bless!
This kid will relive those moments for a very long time. That’s lesson enough for me. He’s a responsible young man who wants to help make his friend whole again. Just thankful they are all alive. So I’m glad he’s got his Jeep back. Thanks Dave and crew for being compassionate and not judgey, which in turn will likely be paid forward for the rest of this kids life. 🌺
Good post Kiki
Im also just startin to drive (out here you gotta be 18 to start driving) and i got a jeep like his but more stock, they are tough old rigs and you fall in love with em pretty fast, i can imagine what the kid has gone trough, thank you guys for doing this, and all of your other good deeds, theres a special place in heaven for yall
@@redneckgarage17O819where on earth do you live that you can’t get a driver license till 18?? You must not live in America or your parents are just telling you that so you won’t drive 😂
This is probably my favorite video to date. This young man is amazing in today's world. I am so thankful for him and his attitude towards helping his injured friend and his mother replace their lost wages from missing work. Dave, you and your entire team are a true inspiration. God bless every one of you.
Exactly how I feel❤🤍💙
I’m pretty sure insurance is going to pay for any lost wages pain and suffering. That’s what insurance does
Good for working it off. Looks like good paying job.
Pretty weird that giving his friend what he owes him is considered "amazing".
Think it is context.
Money and fun is pretty not different than none and fun.
Giving back by doing what you guys love doing could teach a few people some things. And that young man working more to help recover his friends families lost wages, wow, he for sure deserved your help. This one actually got some smoke in my eyes. Well done men, well done.
Massive respect to you for not only doing this but spending your own time and money to help the kid out when he's in a bad place just for making a simple mistake. The world needs more people like you sir well done.
What an amazing video. That young man Max is so genuine and the fact he’s working to replace his hurt friends lost wages is a testament to his great character. He’s so respectful, and definitely worthy of all your teams kindness. Thanks Heavy D and crew - you cannot watch this and not smile.
The scariest part of this is the devastatingly expensive Life Flight, probably cost 10 Jeeps and wasn't necessary.
The nice part of it all was, he was already helping out his injured friend and his mamma. The kid deserves every bit of it!! Pay it forward!!
I have just learned about your CZcams site! I have been watching a lot of what you do but what you did for the 16 year old that rolled his jeep is incredible! This was the best of the best! You guys are awesome!!!🤩
3 nice things about Dave: 1. You love to help any people! 2. You are genuine 3. You are a funny dude! From Peter Eriksson Sweden Europe with Love to freedom ❤❤❤!
That "Holy Crap, What did I do." At the end there when he saw the reveal. Thats the moment you realize how grateful this kid is, and that he truly understands what he has done. I really think this boy learned his lesson, and deserved the break you guys have given him. Well done :D
Thanks for the spoiler (no I’m not mad, really I’m not)
Your entire team are wonderful people. From coming out here to California and helping everyone with the snow removal, and now this. It takes a special soul to do what you do.
Amen to that 👍
That's how the world should work see someone needing help do everything you can to help them
I was a tow operator for 39 yrs know that feeling no I'm retired I think back all the people I helped but can't shake a stick at this crew 👍
I agree. The would needs more people like this. Help each other and we will all end in a better place.
Brother that was moving! We were all that age once and learned in our own ways. It’s a blessing to have people like you in this world that do things like that. Good kid and well deserved.
Heavy D’s 1. Kind, 2. Sincere. 3. Honest. The kid was blown away, happy Teddy bear. Watching make one feel good. Pleasure to watch you and your team.
That young man will never forget this event, as much for the hurt he caused his buddy as for you giving him a break. Yes lots of people may criticise you but your generous help and non-blame attitude may serve him well in his future, and, hopefully he will pay - it - forward one day. Thank you Big D. From Southampton, Hampshire, UK.
Giving this kid a second chance was a great thing to do. He's working to pay his friend for his lost wages. What a great kiss. He is genuine. Nothing wrong with helping a good kid like that out. Great job guys.

You're an absolute legend! That kid went from the top of the world being 16 and having a jeep, to feeling like absolute garbage in several ways, and then you came along and gave a little light to his world. Well done man!
You damn near had me in tears - I wrote off my car within two weeks of buying it - rolled down an embankment. Everyone was fine, but I owed a three-year loan on it. Doing this for this young lad was a selfless act of kindness. You and the whole team are a genuinely amazing and nice bunch!
I was definitely in tears by the end of this story took me way back to my younger years
You guys need to deliver the Jeep dressed as fairy godmothers complete with wands and sparkle dust! Gorgeous, all round kindness and care. 💕💞
To Dave & Crew , Y'all are the real deal . Thank you for ALL that you do . That young man will pay it forward . Prayers for healing all involved
Heavy D, Diesel Dave, Alan, Hans, and the other awesome talented team giving of yourselves to a young man who will never forget and will in turn one day give back 1000x fold. Thank you for being who you are!

4" lift for dude who already rolled without that? hahaha New lesson to be learned about how much easier it'll be to roll down a mountain *next time.* :D
I’m so impressed with that young man. Lost his jeep after two weeks and was more worried about making things right with his friend that he hurt and replacing the wages he’s losing not being able to work. Heavy D and his crew restores my faith in humanity. It’s good to know that good things still happen to good deserving people. Most excellent you guys!
He's worried about being sued for damages and lost income, and he should be, he caused it.
@@johnt.848 It's not like he intentionally hurt his friend, it was an accident. His friend also chose to ride in the car, so he isn't totally alleviated of all culpability

Why I keep up with this channel. Stuff you don’t find anymore
Man, the world needs a ton more folks like you guys. I wish I was in the position to help people like you guys. The amazing hearts you all have. THANK YOU!
After 72 years on this earth, sometimes I think everyone has gone crazy and folks just aren’t kind any more . But you guys never ever fail. You always do the right thing. Great folks are still out there, and you guys are definitely a group of “good guys”. You always make my wife and I smile. It does my heart good to see, we still have hope. Keep up the good work.

You guys are AMAZING! If only there were more people like you in the world I am sure it would be world wide peace! Thank you for sharing your stories here and please keep being the nice guys you are! it is truly heart warming and inspirational in equal measure! To the Lad who is recovering, speedy recovery dude! You'll look back on this with a smile and love in your heart knowing that there are really good people out there like the Sparks Crew! To the Lad who's jeep it is, get out there and keep running the trails. Take some other people with you who are experienced trail runners with you, but keep doing it! we all make mistakes but learning from them is key! Stay safe out there and keep the trails open and loved!
You and crew are so nice to fix that Jeep. We all do dumb things when we are teenagers. Thanks for being a friend in deed.
This is one of the main reasons I watch you guys. You are all so generous. Thank you for helping the kid out. When you're that age, the whole world is so overwhelming and sometimes you just don't know how to handle it. I'm sure you took a load off his shoulders.
That was amazing. Accidents happen to us all. Sometimes when we're young, sometimes when we're older. This kid was genuine, wanting to help his friend out with wages and such. What you did, will impact his life forever. Thanks for all you do for everyone you serve.
Dave so sweet of you to help this kid. He seems like a wonderful gentleman already. God bless you.
1. The team you have put together
2. The understanding you all have at the base, empathic level.
3. Integrity at the kindness of paying it forward.
Basically you're a good human. Kind, humble ... spreading love, joy and peace.
I have to admit that I was not in favor of rewarding this kid who made some pretty obvious mistakes that got people hurt. However, when he said he was working to repay his friend’s lost wages that he caused, I was immediately on board from that point on. That takes more moral fortitude than the majority of people possess these days. Good on him and good on you guys as well!!
Yeah plus we don't know if it was only his mistake. Of course he was the responsible driver but if the group dynamic said "Let's go the more dangerous way. Let's not use seatbelts.. etc", it would be hard to say it's all just his fault and he deserves all the punishment, especially at 16...
I feel like despite his inexperience it could have happened and does happen to older more experienced drives on trails all the time. Catch a bad bump on a crawl and drop a tire over the edge it can go south fast and not much to do about it.
@@fritglassware9165 it was also midnight, even veteran drivers don't wheel at night if they can help it.

1) his true joy at helping people out. ( note - dazzling grin!)
2) Dave’s generosity. He clearly has lots of mean to do things, and is not miserly with God’s gifts.

Man that was cool. Do an episode 2 with the final. Thank you for the content. Awesome story and glad everyone is ok.
The big driving mistakes made at 16 are by far the most memorable. Most of us have those memories, and we wouldn't be who we are today without them.
This is something this kid will Never forget. Thanks for giving him the benefit of the doubt, Dave.
He seems like a pretty good kid.

Awesome video. I was very moved by your kindness, to a young driver, just two weeks driving a 4x4, out exploring off road. So many good things come out of just watching your kindness to just one person, down on his luck. Just shows everyone out there, that good things do happen to good people and don't you miss the opportunity to help someone other than your self. It could change your way of thinking for ever.

i respect them too but it is hilarious that you think they "go out of there way" to do things like this, they make millions of dollars making videos like this and posting them youtube...
NK does that really matter, no because they still help people out. Because it is who they are. Honestly, I know some of his crew members, and they are super awesome, humble guys. My only hope is that he is mature enough to have learned a solid lesson from what happened.
You're a good man!
I rolled my jeep as a 17 yo. My buddies were standing off the side and laughing their A's off at me hanging there upside down.
Good drivers have "experienced" adverse times. That is how they get good! This kid will be a much more conscientious driver going forward. I hope his experience saves a life by simply telling the story.
I told my son the story of me rolling my jeep, he's told his friends. While you never know if the storytelling worked, he has a friend who is less crazy driving than a year ago when he got his license.
It's extremely important for the more experienced to teach the inexperienced to develop better thought process in these kids. Boys will always be boys.
Men should teach the boys!
Great to see someone step up and support this young man. Clearly, this was an ACCIDENT. Shit happens and, I think, the best thing is that he is stepping up, owning the situation and doing what it takes to make things right. He has a wonderful future ahead of him and thanks to HeavyDSparks and the team! !! !!!
When I first started watching your videos I just thought you were some pretty cool guys doing some pretty cool stuff. Then, when I saw you digging out the bottom of a mine shaft just hoping to find a missing woman's remains to help her family cope, I was blown away. Helping this kid out is exactly the content that makes me love watching your videos.
a damn good example for younger guys to look up to! i admire your heart and passion to help out others. Dave, you are one of the most humbling men out there. You have started from rock bottom and made an empire where you are able to give back, and you are someone I hope inspires others to do good in this crazy messed up world we live in right now.
I have so much respect for the perspective you bring to this. Its easy to bring the Dad perspective, or mom perspective, or friends family perspective in these situations. But having that first hand experience and knowing you made the mistakes, owning up to it. Then years later helping someone in the same position, and being able to put yourself in their shoes and help them through it. To help guide and learn from mistakes. Man thats huge imo.
That kid has great core values and morals. Great core character. He definitely learned and will teach his lessons on for other kids to learn.
Three things I like about you Mr. Dave Sparks and your crew: 1. You all have a Big, big, BIG heart. 2. You all know how to run a company with professional hands on. 3. My second comment now that I've seen the whole video.
The fact that the kid was picking up extra hours to help his friend that got hurt shows that he's worth anything you throw at him. He's already on the path of being a strong and honorable man som day.

He sounds like a good kid. Amazing the stuff HeavyD does for his community.
Wow, what an amazing story. This act of kindness by Dave and crew has the potential to be life changing for Max
It's always good to help someone out especially when you're kind considerate and generous
Absolutely LOVE this story and I agree, the kid has been thru enough...OUTSTANDING
Dave, you and your guys are the greatest! I had a similar experience as a 16 year old wrecking my mothers brand new car. I felt horrible and was not trusted for a while. You just gave this young man a small piece of his life back and gave him the break he needed. You are a good man, I sure you made a difference in his life. This is something he will never forget or take for granted. Keep up the great work, you are a credit to the human race.
What you guys do for people in need or honestly just people in general is amazing. You're not only changing the lives of the people you've helped directly, but all of the people who watch your channel as well. By helping people as much as you do, you're without a doubt getting your viewers to think about helping others as well. I love all of your videos and the wide variety of content as well. Also, shout-out to my buddy Ron that's in the video!! He's not in too many, so it always initially freaks me out when he is, lol.
Heavy D, what a class act my wife and I are in our early 70s and we watch his episodes twice a day. It’s nice to see a positive successful group of men that love what they do and enjoy life to the fullest. Thank you to Heavy D diesel, Dave, and all the rest, Todd and Diana Stetson , Columbia, South Carolina
You have been blessed and your still a genuine man. Your humble and you don’t think twice about helping others. Especially family. 1-Great Heart, 2- Blessing to others, 3-Still down to Earth!!!!
Heavy D and crew are a perfect example of humanity at its best. The world would be a much better place with more people like this.
Having been in that kid’s shoes before (totaled 2 trucks) I received a lot of grace and mercy from my dad. Definitely learned the hard way but had a good dad to help me through it all.
