I know the video hasn't premiered yet, but I still want to thank you in advance Susan for sharing these tips and tutorials with us. It would be very easy for you to learn but still limit what you share with an audience, but I really appreciate your transparency, advice, and kind personality in general

When using the thermal holographic film, did you seal it with a glossy film on top as well or just left it as is? I’m just wondering as I don’t know if it thermal holographic film will stay put or not unless it’s sealed with another film on top. Let me know when you can, thank you! 😊

Hello! I got 3 different heat transfer foil ons, I have 2 different laminators, I have a Cannon Pixma Pro printer, and I have a pack of samples from Online Labels AND Sheetlabels. I tried every single paper and foil, including the paper you use here, glossy, matte, and I can't seem to get them to come out without bubbles or wrinkles. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is it my printer settings? Do I have bad luck and just happened to get 3 different defective foils? I've spent hours trying to trouble shoot this. It's so hard to find anyone talking about this specific subject.

If your Etsy business affords you an extra five grand you could buy an iColor Dye Sub laser printer for the use of their CMYKW, Clear, UV, Fluorescent, metal looking, and security toners that can be hot swapped during a print operation. Their clear toner is not only a spot color treatment but also serves as an overcoat/laminate to protect the printed colors beneath it. No need for a lamination machine or the extra fuss associated with it.
I use a color HP laser printer to make my stickers. I've had a test set of stickers mounted to my trash can which sits in all seasons outside. Baking in 90 to 100+ degree heat, rain, freezing cold down to 4 degrees. Been on the trash can since July 2022. No fading or loosening of the laminate nor the sticker. I used Avery shipping labels with permanent glue for the sticker paper. Then I used their self-adhesive clear laminate to "weather proof" it. Their paper & laminate are both acid-free & pH neutral for archival longevity. The laminate also protects against UV to protect against fading.
With my Brother Scan N Cut 125 SDX digital cutter. Unlike the Cricut it has a built-in 600 DPI color scanner allowing me to scan up to 12x12 inches (12"x24" on newer machines), save the scan as a .JPG, cut data, or live cut. No need for external software as I can do all the edits, design, layout, tweaking right on the cutter's built-in computer via its 5 inch color touch screen display. With the auto blade my cutter automatically determines the thickness of the material (up to 3mm) and then "knows" the proper cut force and speed to apply for smooth results. But in case it goofs you can enter adjustments to correct it. Always do a test cut when you're using new material.
If you were to use a pigment based inkjet printer like an Epson with DuraBright inks you'd have little need to use a laminate overlay. Print to holographic paper. Since the inks are pigmented they're nearly waterproof, smudge proof, have terrific endurance against fading, are rated to last up to 100 years before fading is visible to the naked eye. If the paper is acid-free and pH neutral then it will last perhaps as long as the vibrancy of the ink without discoloring the paper or the image printed to it.
