I heard him say he was wrong, but it really came down to him not hearing the incorrect teachings. As far as him admitting to when he is wrong on anything else...won't happen.
@@wigalo2081 Probably because he has not changed his mind on a matter. That's like you admitting you're wrong on a matter that you don't think you are wrong about. Like for example, Jesus is Lord. No one will convince a real believer otherwise.
@malcomlittle251 That's because he is not open to hear the other side. Have you seen him debate? He constantly bullies his point across, but Never actually listens to the other side.
A real Christian should never have a problem admitting when they were wrong. Because we aren’t supposed to be proud, but humble. Have humility. And let’s face it, everyone is wrong from time to time. A person who admits when they’re wrong is a person I’ll trust.
Agreed. Paul writes about this in 1 John 2:19 --> "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us." So according to Paul, no true Christian will ever turn his back on the Lord. Let me know if I'm misinterpreting that vrese.
Corey, please be cautious and make sure videos and audio out there about anyone is not altered or AI generated before you make a public statement. I'm not saying Dr. Evans didn't say that, but if it was altered, then you would have to reapologize to your followers. You may want to check other sources to confirm before going by the one video response someone made of you and Dr. Tony Evans to ensure what was said is truth and not altered in any way and taken out of context. We're in a technological age where we can't trust what we hear and see. Just my 2 cents!
That's is such a good point you made about AI that I hadn't really thought of. I was a member back around 2009 and my husband and I heard Pastor Evans preach this same point with our own ears. As a matter of fact, my husband got up & walked out in righteous anger. I missed it. Had to go back & listen to make sure. I was unpleasantly surprised to hear him say it. We soon left that church.
God do not walk out on us. People walk out or away from God. You can't hang up your salvation and go have a free for all. Yes, the struggle is real. Stay with God.
The best news I heard so far! I'm 62 years old ordained deacon! I live a great and prosperous lifestyle in Jesus Christ! I fall short from time to time because I'm a human being in the Flesh! So many of us act like we live such a perfect sinless life according to the Bible!
@@stephencopeland4974 For all of those who are believers, and has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we're all sinners who are saved by grace through faith, and we're perfect spiritually, just as Jesus is perfect because we've been born again, and we are His children. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us, and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. There is no one without sin! If anyone claims they have not sinned they are a liar, and the truth is not in them. Our righteousness is like filthy rags in the eyes of God! There is only one who was perfect and sinless and that Jesus Christ. As long as we are in this flesh, we are going to fall, periodically but we get right back up, and finish the race until the end, when God call us home to be with Him in heaven for eternity. Then all of our struggles, sorrows, sickness and pain will be gone forever
Brotha, I called you out in your first video defending "Bob" Evans; I commend you in this one for your integrity to the truth you purport. That makes you one of a kind. Most don't correct themselves.. Appreciate you sir
Thank you for this and for humbling yourself. I attended a false church and had to distance myself from that ministry. I learned that although I'm grateful for that stage of my life, I can't hold onto that ministry or pastor more than the Word. The Word over sentiment.
Well Brother Corey, let me say this, and this is just me speaking personally: theres a lot of things that I both agree with you on with your Christian teachings and beliefs, just as well as there are many things that I disagree with you on as well. But as far as I'm concerned, regardless of my agreements or disagreements with you, I still accept you as my Christian Brother in Christ and i still support your CZcams channel, because at least you still try your best to show your good fruits and integrity as a Christian, flaws and all. So the fact that you even took the time to make this video and not to buckle down and stand on your errors with it, or virtue signal with it, but to actually genuinely accept correction for it and acknowledge your errors in your words and ways of thinking, shows me all I need to know. Keep up the good work!
I believe as a born again believer that you can get mad at God and not understand God at times but the Bible says that those that are in Christ are a NEW CREATION altogether. I don't believe that a truly new creation being born of God will say I don't want you no more and if they ever did it wouldn't last long. The Bible says that we are SEALED by The Holy Spirit.
@@alphonsocoley5170 Yes, people can get mad at God. And if we do, He wants us to talk to Him about it. He already knows our heart, so if we are upset with Him about anything, He wants us to be honest and bring it to Him in prayer. Jonah was mad at God when He told him to go to Nineveh, to preach against its wickedness. Interestingly, Jonah didn’t want to bc he knew the LORD was merciful and would forgive them if they repented. Jonah 4:1-3 Jonah’s Anger at the Lord’s Mercy 1 “This change of plans greatly upset Jonah, and he became very angry. 2 So he complained to the Lord about it: “Didn’t I say before I left home that you would do this, Lord? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people. 3 Just kill me now, Lord! I’d rather be dead than alive if what I predicted will not happen.” I encourage you to read all of chapter 4. It’s quite amazing. Jonah was so angry with the LORD he prayed to die! But it again reveals the merciful, tender-heartedness of our LORD. He was compassionate toward Jonah. He listened to him… but then He spoke the truth Jonah needed to hear, also. He had compassion on Jonah, as well as Nineveh. And He has compassion on us too, when we come to Him with honesty and sincere hearts. The Lord is amazing❤️
@@alphonsocoley5170 Yes, people can. Read Jonah 4 The whole chapter is about Jonah becoming angry at God and God hearing him out, but then telling Jonah the truth he needed to hear. I need help! I keep living in the sin of lust and pornography. I confessed Jesus as Lord, but I keep doubting my salvation due to the blasphemous thoughts within my head. I stop watching porn for a day or 2, then go back to it 10 times worse than before. Please, brethren, pray for me.
Corey, the problem that I have is that too many Christian brethren, spend a lot of time going to scripture and finding one or two things that some pastor had said and then run away with those scriptures. In case of Tony Evans, who was my pastor for about 22 years, I also think he is wrong because true born-again Christians cannot be apostates. Also, if a truly born-again Christian trys to turn from the Lord God, he or she will be chastised by the Lord as stated in Hebrews chapter 12, and not only this but the bible reveals other things that the Lord Jesus Christ will do to His disobedient children. Why, because we have been bought with a price (I Corinthians 7:23). Another example would be I Corinthians 5:5 when the man is rebuked for having his father's wife. The Apostle Paul says deliver such a one over to Satan that his flesh be destroyed but yet his spirit may be saved in the day of Christ. When people say free grace and once saved always saved, in which I believe both, they never explain the fact that if a person truly belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, that person will not be allowed to do anything he or she wants to do or live their lives anyway they please. They will face chastisement from the Lord God, and if they do not, then Hebrews 12:8 tells you why " you are not sons, you are bastards " King James Version. Free grace does not mean the license to sin nor does once saved always saved. Such individuals who think this way really don't know the scriptures. Even though Dr.Tony Evans may be incorrect in this area; I still think he is a great pastor. Even the best of us can get thing wrong sometimes. The Bowtie Professor!
@@KCRookieWhen you say "limitations on sins we can commit" is that the same as living in sin? Romans 6, Paul said "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!", "our old man was crucified with Him, that we should no longer be slaves to sin." paraphrase.
I’m sorry but there isn’t a pastor who hasn’t made a mistake in his understanding of God’s word. Pastors are men like all other men, they aren’t perfect and they never will be. I attend OCBF and I’ve never heard Dr. Evans, in my time there, ever say anything that I’ve found to be clearly in contradiction to God’s word. Now, like any other pastor, I have heard a few things that I don’t 100% agree with but I have NEVER agreed 100% with any pastor. Nor do I expect that I will ever agree with all pastors that I hear. My High Priest is the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself and it’s Him that I turn to for my ultimate understanding and guidance. It’s not a pastor, or a man but the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, stating that Pastor Evans misspoke and taught a certain part of scripture incorrectly, doesn’t surprise me. I am encouraged by the fact that Pastor Evans took responsibility for his error and has stepped aside as he goes to the Lord Jesus Christ for guidance and forgiveness. I still attend the church and I will continue to do so because the Lord Jesus Christ led me there in the first place and He would only do that for my benefit and His glory. Have a blessed day…..🙏🏽
Not true, Christ came to make us perfect (whole). He himself was and is perfect. Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." 2 Timothy 3:17 "That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." He gave us a perfect lamb for a sacrifice, and we are called to walk after the perfect lamb(Jesus). He is our standard, our example(Read Hebrews 10:1-14). Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and He has all power to help us do the same( John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him)! This doesn't mean that we wont make mistakes! & if we do happen to fall back into sin we are to quickly repent(turn away from sin) & ask for forgiveness, Jesus taught us to say the Lords Prayer for that(Mat.6:9-13). He came in the flesh and showed us that it is indeed possible to live a perfect(sinless) life in the flesh(John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me)(Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified)! But we won't be able to do it without being filled with His Holy Spirit(Titus 3:5). He says He's coming back for a Church without spot or wrinkle, our robes have to be completely white(Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. )&(2 Peter 3:14 ). No sin will be able to enter into heaven(1 Corinthians 15:50), so how can we say we're born again belivers, children of God & say we will still sin? We can't. (1 John 3:6-7 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: Whosoever sinneth has not seen him, neither known him ⁷ Little children, let no man decieve you: he that doeth righteousness, is righteous, even as he is righteous!!).

@@jefffeix8576 My point is be mindful of saying people are in danger of hell fire. The Bible, which is a collection of books, was written over a period of about 1,500 years by many different authors. The oldest book, likely written by Moses, is thought to have been completed around 1400 BC, while the newest book, Revelation, was written around AD 90. The books were not written continuously, and there was a 500-year period when no writings were contributed. The earliest surviving manuscripts of the Bible are from the 4th century CE. Point is we must not use absolute in interpretation of the Bible.
This is a good video. Would love for this to be explored in more detail. Many Christians are confused by this point of free grace doctrine. God bless you for correcting yourself publicly.
Did Tony Evans have grace or favor from Almighty God in JesusChrist??? God knows. But God told us in Jeremiah 23, that He is against the pastors or the shepherds; even in Ezekiel 34:10. And God is a Prophet, God make prophets, so God was talking about then, and now. Because fallen angels were in mankind then, the flood didn't kill the spirit, so we have them now; They dwelt in mankind then, and they dwell in mankind now.. That's why you see pastors with their rings, cars, and houses.
yeah, i’m not sure why so many christian’s are against free grace…free grace isn’t the belief that apostates or nonbelievers are saved (that would contradict Christianity entirely), that’s universalism…. not sure why that is constantly lumped into free grace 🤷🏽♀️

Let me first say that I believe we throw around heavy words such as "heretic" and "hypocrite" way too lightly. As Paul said, we all see through a glass dimly, which means none of us have 100% perfect doctrine or a full understanding of everything concerning the things of God. Now, having said all that, I do not believe that Tony Evans is a heretic or a hypocrite nor do I think that Corey is a heretic or hypocrite. Having stated the previous, I would like to hear the full context of what Evans was saying before labeling him a heretic over a 10-second clip. But I will admit that if I understood correctly what Evans suggested, I would also strongly disagree with him in that regard.
The glass in 1 Corinthians 13 is the same word translated mirror in James. In context in James, the mirror is God’s verbal revelation. The second half of 1 Corinthians 13 is all about verbal revelation, just like all of chapter 14. Paul does not randomly switch topics.
@@ricksonora6656 Hence my comments about we shouldn’t throw around heavy words like “hypocrite” and “heretic” so loosely and just apply it to everyone we disagree with. We prophesy in part because we do not have the full revelation of God (1 Cor 13:9). I certainly hold there are some first-order doctrines that we should adhere to, namely, anything surrounding the person, deity, and finished work of the Lord Jesus on the cross. But, I do think it’s prudent to display exegetical humility when it comes to other matters. I’ll reiterate that if I understood Evans’ correctly, I strongly disagree with him on this matter.

This where the thin line between examining fruit and heresy hunting is being crossed. Come on. Tony Evans, in this sermon, is trying to explain where our assurance comes from: Christ alone. The example is extreme but to go so far as to discredit this man’s LIFE and FRUIT is ridiculous. He is not infallible, none of us are.

Many people believe that using the Lord's name in vain only applies to someone using the Lord's name as a curse word or something. But actually, one can use the Lord's name in vain by living in hypocrisy; by proclaiming to take His name (ie, Christian), yet persisting to live as a heathen and unbeliever. One can profane the name of the Lord by willfully living in sin, though they profess to belong to Christ by faith. Clearly, such a profession was false if they do not depart from iniquity. For as the Bible teaches us, those who are named of Christ shall depart from iniquity. And as Jesus said, those who love Him keep His commandments. False conversion if always evident in the fruits one bears. They profess to know Him, but in works they deny Him (re Tit. 1:16).
Good word brother. Being a graduate of both the leading Lordship (TMS) and Free Grace (GSOT) seminaries the issues around what makes one a proponent of Free Grace theology in terms of being inside or outside salvation is more complex than what many consider, as you also mentioned. I think I am where you are based on your video testimony. Do I think Dr Evans is a false teacher, no. Do I think he at times advocates false doctrinal views regarding the FG position, yes. But my personal issues with the movement as a whole goes far beyond either one”s lapse in sanctification or the self deception of thinking one is saved when that may or is not the case. But thanks for the scoop and your willingness to be corrected. May the Lord keep us all like that. Keep pressing on brother.

Yes. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the Day of Redemption. He is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We are saved not by works, but by grace though faith: Grace is God doing for us what we cannot do ourselves.
So your saying Tony Evans is sealed? How you know he was even saved, having put his trust in a man? As did all pastors: God told us Cursed is the man that puts his trust in man, and maketh flesh his arm or strength, Jeremiah 17:5. Well I'm glad that Corey could admit when he's wrong but I have a question. I have a Tony Evans commentary sitting on myself. I mean do I still use it I don't think everything in its wrong not by a long shot but what do I do with this commentary?
“No body’s perfect.” This is what I was told when I was younger. I know someone who doesn’t know God say, “No one is perfect but God.” Which is very true. I also know of a pastor who admits he struggles with lust… openly. He’s not proud of that, he’s just being honest and transparent. My opinion on Tony Evans is if he’s committed a sin where he feels that he no longer qualifies to stand in front of a congregation to preach God’s holy word, I commend him for that. At least he’s not afraid to do that. He’s not trying to hold onto his status, his resources as a pastor, unlike others who have no right to call themselves a pastor or anything pertaining to Jesus’ church. NOT ok-ing his sin. I’ve said it before, whatever it is, that’s between him and the Lord. What he needs from those who have sat and listened to him preach, needs NOT to turn from him and criticize him. But instead, pray for him. God forbid if he (God) would withdraw his spirit from me. Doing that very thing I deserve. Do that which we ALL deserve. “None are righteous, no not one “ the bible says. We don’t have any right to even worship the Lord if you’re honest with yourself. If you want to not listen to Tony anymore, that’s fine. That’s your choice. Personally, there are many sermons that God has spoken through him to my heart. I will continue to listen to his sermons. As far as what Mr. Corey is saying, I’ve never heard Tony say anything like this in his sermons. Maybe, just maybe it’s this very thing is why he stepped down. We don’t know. None of our business.
14:27 Romans 7 isnt about a paul in the Christian life struggling with sin. Its talking about one whos apart from Christ without the spirit trying to live in the statutes of the Law but being hopeless in it. Ok, I know this may appear to be a silly question but how do you turn away and reject Jesus? Not that I want to do it but to make sure I’m not doing it. when I sin, I feel like I’ve never been saved. My prayers include the desire that my purchase of Tony Evans Study Bible earlier this year won't be a waste of money, and the hope that God can still teach me through it.
There’s a major attack on Christ’s FINISHED WORK on the Cross… Paul has addressed this issue in scripture ! Nobody’s advocating sin when preaching unmerited favor from GOD through the shed blood of Jesus Christ … There’s scripture that says GOD chastises his children who get caught up in sin and worst case scenario God will cut your life short to prevent you from falling into destruction …. Paul says there was a war inside of him that when he wanted to do good sin was always present… and what about David - a man after God‘s own heart who is clearly out of order in scheming to have Uriah murdered so that he could have Bathsheba … David was severely chastised by God for his infractions through the loss of a child and also one of his sons murdering the other son for raping his sister David‘s daughter … so there are terrible consequences to sin but to those who sincerely serve God There is Grace and mercy that’s available … again legalistic people try to make a straw man argument against Christianity and grace by deliberately misrepresenting what Grace is in the Christian context … everybody in our world is a sinner and capable of making heinous mistakes - God, who is the discerner of our souls, will determine what the issues of your heart are and what the proper consequences should be for the things that we do. Finally, I don’t think what Tony Evans said here was wrong - but Hebrew Israelites, and anybody whose prone to think that they can be justified by the law tend to misinterpret and misrepresent what Tony Evans was preaching in these excerpts.
All we have to do is to read the word of God for ourselves, to learn and know the truth. God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. Jesus says- My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Jesus also said: don't put confidence in man. Trust and have faith in the Lord.
Corey, we teach and preach what we know at a particular time. Sounds like old clips of Dr Evans. Does he currently hold the same views? Are we not able to change our views over time as we learn differently and better doctrine?
Corey, thank you for this. I have listened to well over 200 to 300 hundred messages from tony evans on the urban alternative. As a young Christian, I idolized tony evans. However, tony evans doctrine on salvation and free grace is wrong. I thank God that the Holy Spirit led me to the scriptures to depart from the false teachings of tony evans.
Please read 2 Peter 2 in its entirety. Grace is a gift, but shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound? God forbid! I am unsure if you watched the video but Tony Evans seems to be telling people that if they raise their hand against God, they are still saved. That's dangerous to believe and teach such a thing. The Most High does not desire for any to see death but we must abide(meaning under the authority of & to act in accordance to his word, which is the Messiah) the Bible tells us that he is the word made flesh John 1:14

Exactly. The question is where you ever saved in the beginning
Agreed. Paul writes about this in 1 John 2:19 --> "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us."
So according to Paul, no true Christian will ever turn his back on the Lord. Let me know if I'm misinterpreting that vrese.

You can not get mad at GOD........
@@alphonsocoley5170
Yes, people can get mad at God.
Jonah 4:1-3
Jonah’s Anger at the Lord’s Mercy
1 “This change of plans greatly upset Jonah, and he became very angry. I’d rather be dead than alive if what I predicted will not happen.”
I encourage you to read all of chapter 4.

Have a blessed day…..🙏🏽
Good word, God bless you. Praying for Dr. Evans and his family and church family. I believe wholeheartedly he is still in the will of God.

The oldest book, likely written by Moses, is thought to have been completed around 1400 BC, while the newest book, Revelation, was written around AD 90. Yes one of your best videos. A real man will admit when he’s wrong. We all can learn from this, specifically me personally. Thanks.

Then Martin asked for a kiss!??? Funny 🤣😂....Well we don't know all the facts with Dr. Evans but I respect that he stepped down amidst the sin that possibly would have gone unknown.
I don’t think it would have gone unknown, I think this is part of why he stepped down. Preemptive strike.
@@jeloisdaily yeah he may have tried to get ahead of it coming out, I guess we'll have to wait and see if he returns or someone comes forward...either way I wish the church the best
What sin nvr confessed
He was made to step down….
That intro had me laughing!!😅😅😂
One of my younger brothers who happens to be a minister is a member of the Church that Tony Evans pastors. Now I wouldn't necessarily call him a heretic. My brother, has had personal conversations with his pastor and has asked on occasions why does he feel free to take so much liberty with the text. Their are areas I feel his definitely in error but in time, we all are capable of revising our views or flat admit we're wrong and correct it.
Thanks Corey. Well, thoughtfully, graciously said. Keep it moving!
Keep it moving! That's not what God said, but rather expose unfruitful works of darkness.
@@user-Dayvid1 not the context I am speaking from. It is simply is an encouragement. I know exactly what scripture says. Don’t be so quick to shoot the messenger. It makes you look arrogant and foolish.

TE also taught that we pray because it gives God permission to act on our behalf.
That is not in the Bible. It is blasphemy to say that God needs permission from man 4 ANYTHING. Please read ur bible. God bless
@@jefffeix8576 when you pray you are asking for heavenly help in earthly situations. Jesus even prayed to the Father for things to be done in the earth. God doesn’t break His Word. Man has dominion in the earth. That’s why Jesus had to have a human body to operate in the earth. Prayer is very important in warfare and when you pray the Word, angels act on your behalf, they hearken to the Word of God.
I have a friend make this statement to me. So sad and so wrong.

@@jefffeix8576WHAT?! Where is that at in the book?! We are free will creatures, GOD HAS HIS DESIRES, wishes and will but if we don’t respond to him in faith HE WONT VIOLATE YOUR WILL!!
In the book of Ezekiel, God looked for a man, He couldn’t find one to pray or do His will so he had to move differently!!!
I knew this day would come, and that you would be cool about it. I appreciate your ministry!
Wait...but how do you account for the prodigal son and the lost sheep...or God being married to the backslider?
Truth. Cory is a pastor right?
I want to commend you for setting the record straight. Tony Evans has a book entitled "Totally Saved" which is a heretical view on salvation.
The first slippery slope was "once saved always saved" doctrine. That false doctrine has slid to the next heresy...which is "everyone is saved ". SMH.
Not false doctrine at all God says no one can be taken out of his hand.. if you say you can lose your salvation you call God a liar, if someone “leaves the faith” they never really were a Christian
@thinktankindi2664 Where in the Holy Bible does it say that we can lose our salvation? I'll wait.
Follow me and continue in my way! If not you are an Apostasy. Read your Bible. You can't lose salvation.
Wonderful, brother! May the Heavenly Father continue to bless you with His Truth and may you be receptive to it, always.
We listen to all these politicians, entertainers and athletes, but every time a pastor has a hiccup, then all of a sudden he's a false teacher. His word is still good out of the bible, so let him continue to teach and also deal with what he has to deal with.
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for your transparency in the sharing of this video! May God continue to keep us all steadfast & unshakable grounded in His word
Thank you so much for your humility! You are a great example for us as believers because there are those who refuse to admit that they were wrong. I truly admire you as a man of God and your teachings. Be Blessed!
Corey my brother in Christ. You have gotten fooled by that clip. Did you listen to the actual full 50 minute long sermon? I just did and while I will say that the word of apostasy should not have been used nor some of the extreme examples as the person in the clip sent you Dr. Tony Evans explanation was not apostasy. He was giving examples that even though we are believers we have times of frustration, doubt, even going down the wrong path for a time but because we are truly believers we are His and that we will find our way back because God will chastise us and get us back in line. He also makes the distinction that a person cannot do whatever they want to do just because they are the Lords. He said that the Lord commands that we follow and abide in his commandments.
I will say that if you didn’t listen to the sermon I am disappointed in you my brother. As a teacher you must do due diligence when it comes to things of this nature.
Love the channel and what you do though my brother. All love on my end.
Where can I get one of those hoodies
I think that you shouldn't be endorsing any preacher or asking people to listen to any particular preacher. Just give people the features and characteristics of a preacher they should listen to...don't mention names because the preacher you trust today might deviate tomorrow and you will end up apologizing again. You may say...I enjoy Pastor so..and..so sermon but do not recommend any preacher -to keep your own integrity safe. This is my two-cents.
Keep doing the good work. God bless.
I respect you for this, I must admit I agree with everything you have posted, but I felt a little funny about your last Tony Evans post in reference to him stepping down, like you put on kid gloves for him or something. Mind you, I love me some Tony Evans, but stepping down after sin some years ago gets a sus side eye 👀. Now I see your consistent. Keep it up, brother. May God continue to guide your ministry.

Thank you for your words Corey Lord bless you
Many people believe that using the Lord's name in vain only applies to someone using the Lord's name as a curse word or something.
You're right Corey. No one is above being corrected. Respect you.
I've been subscribed to your channel for a while, I don't always agree with you, but I absolutely love your (HUMILITY)!!! I have a project I'm working on I think you would love. Once I get it finished, how can I get in touch with you.

When God saves us, we are sealed. Then we go from glory to glory. 🙏
Yes. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the Day of Redemption. He is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We are saved not by works, but by grace though faith: Grace is God doing for us what we cannot do ourselves.
Amen ❤️
So your saying Tony Evans is sealed? How you know he was even saved, having put his trust in a man? As did all pastors:
God told us Cursed is the man that puts his trust in man, and maketh flesh his arm or strength, Jeremiah 17:5.
This have not just started, that's why God said in Jeremiah 23:2, I am against the pastors or leaders or shepherds; and in Ezekiel 34:10, I am against the shepherds or pastors.
Cause they been trusting each other from generation to generation.
@@user-Dayvid1 What man are you referring to that Evans put his trust in? Evans preached put your trust in Jesus, the 2nd Person of the Trinity. I've been listening to him for over 25 years. He is saved. He knows that salvation is by faith alone in Jesus and His finished work through the Cross.

Well I'm glad that Corey could admit when he's wrong but I have a question. I have a Tony Evans commentary sitting on myself. I mean do I still use it I don't think everything in its wrong not by a long shot but what do I do with this commentary?
Right on Corey, thanks for your honesty. Much respect to you sir.
Blessings, which Bible software do you use?
I use accordance Bible software on screen, but I use Logos Bible software to prepare and to study
Great job brother, that’s the humility of a biblical brother in Christ.
14:27 Romans 7 isnt about a paul in the Christian life struggling with sin. Its talking about one whos apart from Christ without the spirit trying to live in the statutes of the Law but being hopeless in it. Good video nonetheless but I dont think christians should use this chapter to justify their failures.
Thank you for your humility. Much respect for you sir.
Thank God for your teachings
Ok, I know this may appear to be a silly question but how do you turn away and reject Jesus? Not that I want to do it but to make sure I’m not doing it. when I sin, I feel like I’ve never been saved. I’ve re- Said the “ sinners pray several times because I just didn’t feel saved. I did commit this horrible sin once against God and my wife and asked for forgiveness but it seems like that sin keep entering my thoughts so I don’t feel forgiven. I committed that sin thinking I’d get revenge based on what I thought was done to me. And I feel horrible. I just don’t want to be away from the faith without knowing or even at all. Sir
Thanks for calling yourself out brother, that’s true Repentance “a change of mind”
Before I get to the point where I deny Jesus, God will take me home. Romans 6, God's rebuke, and people He sends my way should turn me around long before that. That's how Jesus doesn't lose any of us. You can't possibly research everything that 176k subscribers have the time for so don't be too hard on yourself! I have learned from Tony Evans, just not in the area of grace. I learn a lot from John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham and Paul Washer, but I sift their teaching through my non-Calvinist sieve.

Would Carton Pearson be an example of this? Carlton became and died apostate. Would he still be saved according to what Tony Evans is saying here?
Scripture says anyone that puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of Heaven.
The way you went off on Celestial because she spoke on Tony. Smh. You cannot put your neck on the chopping block for any mortal.
Celestial is a lying false prophet who has gotten numerous prophecies wrong. Anyone who follows her is foolish and will suffer from God
😂😂😂😂 your awesome this made my day

Please read 2 Peter 2 in its entirety. Grace is a gift, but shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound? God forbid! I am unsure if you watched the video but Tony Evans seems to be telling people that if they raise their hand against God, they are still saved. That's dangerous to believe and teach such a thing.
