For portraiture or faces in the manner of historical tronies, I always feel that it is a mistake to go too soon to the superficial reflections on the forehead, nose, or cheek. I also feel that any thick impasto strokes should be avoided until after the painting is more developed, if at all. So in conclusion, going early for these effects is often the mark of an amateur. If strong originality dispels these "rules", then it needs to be fully justified.

Rubbish advertising. Should add some commentary. Wouldnt buy this video without getting taste of commentary. Not impressed.
This video dosnt look like any of his good paintings. I wouldn't buy this. I'm very disappointed.
