this is a certified the coolest game mechanic in a long time moment
Possibly ever? Looks like coding fucking nightmare tho
Yea and true
4:59 Editing the face on the hand sanitizer machine is such a good gag.
I almost thought it was just part of the game until Tyler didn't react to it at all.
You just broke my brain. I thought it was part of the game!
Wait, that wasn't part of the game? I thought that Tyler just either didn't notice or didn't care enough to react. Now I have to find someone else's playthrough to double check.
I thought it was apart of the game too
4:14
This is single-handedly the best reveal for a simulation in a game I've ever seen.
reminds me a lot of that one part in Superliminal
i think Prey does a really cool one also, but honestly this one's sweet too
@@uninable Yes, Superliminal was inspired by this game's tech demo
@@szabolcstiger2290cool
I was so hyped for this game after the demo. Glad Tyler is getting that bread for playing it
Hyped for this playthrough! But I gotta say, if this game had VR support I would play this myself hands down. I wouldn't even care how much vertigo it would give me lol
It really feels like it could be a VR game honestly. Just something about the art style and especially the simulation aspect makes it seem perfect for VR.
@@ZxanonbladeIn VR you have two eyes. The transition from photo to environment wouldn't hold up
I could only see it giving you vertigo if you were moving around very quickly. If you were normal moving it probably wouldn’t get you too bad.
@@ScibbieGamesI can envision a transition that gradually makes the photo 3d that wouldnt look bad. it wouldn't be the same kind of depthless illusion in the flat version, but it should still be a strange experience
@@psigreen3864 I don't see a need to change it. You see a photo, and you change perspectives and *poof* it's not a photo!
3:44 fun fact these eyes are a necklace with ‘evil eye’ on them that supposedly wards off bad energy
This is a mechanic on par with Superliminal and Portal. I adore puzzle games like this!
I just want to say, I’m not even a third of the way through the video and these edits have already made me laugh out loud like 5 times. Keep it up!!
1:20 Did Tyler discovered a speed running tech?!
maybe
im just imagining what a speedrun would even begin to look like
id love to see a speedrun of this game
iv genuinely never seen an effect like that, and im not refering to the- fact that the entire worlds perspective stopped functioning at all once you crashed the "system" but like- the weird horizontal distortion effect on the objects, that looks really cool and also terrifying
All it does is turn it into a wall.
To note: In the version Tyler is playing, there appears to be no other person that talks to you with, which helps a lot with understanding the story.
Yeah, I wonder if he was playing an older version that didn't have lore or if it's some kind of alternate version that doesn't have lore on purpose.
@@CaiofocaI think Tyler just disabled it on purpose, just like in the demo
This is the perfect game for a dev to go rogue and implement the fattest jumpscare out of nowhere
really much reminds me of the witness, with the cool mechanic and the style it takes too.
I’ve just finished watching room to grow.(great series after you get through the easy levels) We need a puzzle game that makes Tyler change shirts again!
Also the difference in editing is crazy keep up the good work!!
I don't think he has the time anymore to allow him to do that
The most thing I’m impressed about is how they programmed this
I’m just imagining how cool this would be if it was a VR game. Been waiting for this one. Cant believe it’s been so long since the first one.
I'm motion sick watching this video lmao. VR would destroy me
I'm not sure if it would actually work in VR, since the game seems to be built around a lack of depth perception.
The speedruns for this game are going to be crazy
Editing was great for this video, amazing job Dan.
I can tell this game is gonna have fantastic lore.
2:16 He made a dangling bridge 😭
This may be the coolest game mechanic in a long time, but Tyler is equally cool :)
Edit: And the editor!!! Good work, Dan White!!!
So unique! I loved watching you play the demo. We certainly need a series!
editing is always on point!
the edits are SO AMAZING and funny! i LOVE your videos already but the edits make them even more amazing!😄
The editing for this channel is so funny. Props to the editors
Good stuff! Looking forward to more of this one!
pleasepleasepleasePLEASE make more of these, this is the coolest game ive seen in a long time
That weird eyes are Nazars. It's believed that Nazars protect the wearer or their houses from the evil eye. It's a greek mythology thingy but it is very popular on other parts of the world as well.
I love when devs don't just build puzzles with one solution and expect you to find that singular thing fun (there are some games where this is fun), these devs have done a fantastic job
Also I think the math behind this is quite interesting, teachers always said geometry matters well now we know
Love watching honestly at the edge of my seat for the next vid
I was thinking about this game yesterday. This is perfect.
This has got to be one of the best gameplay videos yet.
great video!
Dang! Another video that I’ll have to wait to watch after I play this one. Can’t wait!
1:25 loved the photons joke, peak comedy
5:05 there’s so much lore. You can use the Zoom feature to read it. So there’s a machine that can fix the climate. The industry made the oxygen be to little in the atmosphere so people have to isolate their Air and monitor their oxygen. The blueprints to fix the climate are apparently in the simulation. That’s all I could read. The text with the heading the red world is not readable due to video quality.
This was amazing
Oh yeah, I'm definitely gonna look more into this one.
Coolest in a long time! Love it!
Something small that I really like in the videos is how you put the game, release date, and platforms in the corner at the beginning
Speedruns of this will be nuts to watch
Oh my that game is incredible
I love the aesthetic of this game. I want my real life home to look like those photos some day
your editor is PERFECT
What an awesome game. Gonna have to get it
8:49 the editor has gotten so fucken good at the subtle humor
That Exodia edit was so good
This looks really fun
Love it!
ok, i am like starting the video and these edits are crazy good.
This is one of those games where when I first saw trailers for it, I just knew Tyler would be playing it.
One of the funkiest games I've ever seen. Damn, so creative!
this is perfect. I like the game. I like how Tyler playing it. I like the jokes made by the editor. This content is so good :)
I'm so excited it's finally out!!!!!!!!!
This game was released on my birthday and I think that’s pretty cool
props to the editor 8:50 is so fucking clean i had to do a double take to check if it was an edit or not
I just watched a 100% witness playthrough and I'm seeing those real world puzzles everywhere here
This was such a dope video that it didn't even feel like 14 min went by
I what so happy to see this game out
dan the goat editer
so excited for this game just 7 hours til it's out
Reminds me of the witness which was probably tied as my favorite series with inscription
This is wild
this hurt my brain in a good way. I love the mechanic already
This game looks really nice. Reminds me of the witness
A VR version of this game would be so cool.
Purchased using your link. What a fun play. Seems like the new Portal.
Also, plays great on the ROG Ally.
The eyes is a iconic symbol of Turkey with a long cultural history. Its called Nazar the evil eye. It has been around since ancient times, and over the years, it has become a strong symbol for the whole country. The Turkish Blue Eye is a talisman that is believed to ward off evil and bring good luck. 3:50
Imagine how crazy a speed run of this would look…
the editing got me good
i cant wait for the insane speedruns
"Viewfinder is finally out"
*checks the Steam page.*
*releases in 8 hours.*
I've been lied to and will never emotionally recover from this.
LETSGO viewfinder is here
Another great puzzle game similar to this is Discolored, it is so fun
this game looks like it could have some interesting speedrun potential!
Woah that metalevel(?) surprised me 😂
Noone gonna talk about the hand sanitizer at 4:55?
i loved the demo as well
I hate it when a puzzle game you play gets really interesting, because now I want to play it without spoilers D:
The dilemma of wanting to watch a new aliensrock video but also wanting to play the game yourself.
Nice photo
Bought and finished the game same day I started watching this video
8:48 Now that's effort. Thanks Editors.
3:47 I will tell him. Aliensrock... you are in fact being watched.
The eye amulets are a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern thing that serve as a guard against the evil eye. The name of the amulet varies from culture to culture, the two I know being Mati in Greek and Nazar in Arabic regions. Wikipedia only lists those two, with the term Nazar being seemingly used everywhere from the western coast of the Mediterranean to India.
Of these places, I've only been to Greece, but they were everywhere there. There's also an emoji for them 🧿
this game is great
that hand sanitizer edit at 5 minutes was UNEXPECTED
This game looks amazing
This reminds me of Beyond Perception
4:10 Wait, did the devs seriously use the DEMO as a bait and switch? They release a demo knowing people will play this section, or see this section played. The reactions to the demo are "A recursive Photo! That's awesome!" - but this means the reaction to the real game is "Ah, right, the recursive photo portion. Still cool the novelty is repeated because I've already played it. No worries, moving on."
EXPECTATION: SUBVERTED.
The impact of this moment (the "Error") has so much more weight when you've played or seen the demo. It has more weight in terms of META relevance. For folks who didn't know the demo, they may think this is a gentle reveal of the true plot, but for everyone else, we're SURPRISED because we expected the game to continue.
Fucking BRILLIANT.
3:46 is the moment i realized that not everyone is familiar with Turkish culture
so coool!
Amazing
this game in vr would rock
I knew it! I knew it would be like super liminal!
This is one of those games that would be absolutely insane in vr
When the world crashed I was ready for the game to turn into a horror
This is super cool. I wonder if it has VR support, because doesn’t that sound fun
"In the bathroom? Don't mind if I do." Needs to be clipped without any context
