Thank you so so so much for this upload! We know Yulia perosnally, have see many performances with her in London, from Mariinsky, where she was still a second soloist while dansing Swan Lake Odette, to he Bolshoy performances! Always loved her, she has incredible musicality and amazing arms!

I watched her in Swan lake and la Bayadere when she was dancing in the corps (it was literally one day she was Odette, then tomorrow big swan, then corps the following day, Fateev was making sure that she "knows her place") with opera glasses aimed at her all the time - she was very different from other by her relaxed and musical head and neck and arms, her balance, her being deep into the role.

Merci beaucoup, ma chère amie. Je me souviens de l'Aurore d'Elisabeth Platel comme l'une des plus merveilleuses et des plus élégantes que j'aie jamais vues! Vous rappelez-vous qui a dansé Aurora quand vous l'avez vu avec votre mari?

Yes, she is wonderful, Mariinsky did not know how to value her and now in Bolshoi she is the protagonist and a star!

I kinda like the slowed tempo because to me it feels like the dancer is a fairy flying across the stage

Indeed, the tempo is too slow for this variation, and she aggrandizes her movements in response. Wonderful execution and interpretation.
