Copped and thinking getting rid of it brush strokes all over and couple of glue drop stains on 1 shoe
Got it. Love it. And it goes with everything. I don't see why people have such an issue with this shoe man. It's very clean and they always change a little in a retro to separate it from others. So it's never gonna be the same.
The original release of the Black Cat 4 had Black Cat embroidered inside the back heal tab and also came with a poster of “the shot” against Craig Ehlo. Fire! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

2006 was stitched on the back and came with a poster which has Jordan in hang time in the bred 4s. Had these back in 8th grade and needed to get these in 2020, fire & hella nostalgic

These would've been dope if they had the Black Cat stitching on the heel tab and a thinner more uniformed tongue like the other 4s.They improved some parts of the 2006 version with a shinier midsole paint, a shiny black metallic liner behind the tongue tag, and a smoother material cut above the stitching that doesn't show the ashy fabric lines.
I've noticed over the years since they announced the Remastered Jordans from 2014 that Jordan brand has been incorporating old and new styles of the Jordan 4 design mixed into the recent releases. That thick plush tongue and separated mesh netting is from the OG 1989-99 Jordan 4: White Cement, Bred, FireRed, Military Blue. The thin uniformed tongue and glued mesh netting that everyone is so used to started in the early 2000 releases of Retro 4: Classic Green, Cool Grey, Thunder, Lightning, etc. Jordan brand is mixing old and new designs but haven't found that balance yet.
D it was a definite cop,for me. You forgot the main thing. The toe box, it's closer to the original Cement 4s,than any other 4 created. It's lower and sleeker. Nice comparison video 👍🏽
I was waiting for you to mention the ankle padding around the 2006 Lightnings. In your video, those things looked super chunky like an SB shoe.

The metals were thicker back then meaning the Newbuck on the 06 pair of lightning's that way the price of Newbuck is cut out on the back of the heel
I’m getting black cat 4’s for Christmas and I had them a few years back when they first came out, and they were amazing. Hoping the quality is still the same. Bought 2 pairs for me and my gf to match.

When I went to Finishline, the day they released the store said that Nike had upped the release date so they didn’t even have all sizes in stock yet. They did have my size though. A week later is when they really started popping up everywhere online. So it seems like they where confused on how to release these with everything else they had coming out this month. I like mine though.

I'm not the biggest fan of the 4 already. I like some things about them but I don't like some things too. The tongue is one of the main things I don't like, the 2019 Bred doesn't look bad but these Black Cat tongues looks really weird to me, that's just me though. Like what ya like.

Hey man I can assure you these were built to be worn a lot, I have atleast 100 hours of wear time in them and 0 creasing, quick clean with some crep or jason markk and the shoes look legit brand new

I have the Olivia Kim and the Black Cats. Even tho the Olivia Kim was for women that shoe looks a lot better for me. It actually feels like a different shoe where the black cats are just simply an all black Jordan 4. They don’t even say black cat and they didn’t come with the keychain. My personal opinion as I know everyone has different taste.

Pros:
Shape/mold closer to the Ogs than the retro plus pairs. Blacked out box. Craftsmanship( at least on my pair) better than the 06 black cats.
Cons:

Overall I think this release was an success but nowadays if a shoe is massively available and has no room for resellers to make profit then it will sit on shelves.
I forgot to mention in the video. I’m not a major fan of the new synthetic nubuck. I was they would have done it like the 2006 pair and modeled the materials after the 2019 Bred 4. Overall still a solid shoe either way. Can’t go wrong with a triple black Jordan 4. That’s why I copped multiples. I know I’ll be rocking them years from now 🙌🏽
