  • I recently ordered a Spider-Gwen cosplay bodysuit from Herostime and this is my review of it! Overall pretty well constructed and I would order from them again. The shipping was super fast as well, with my time of order placed to delivery only being about 12 days (custom made, coming from China, that is crazy fast!!).
The suit can be found here:

Great cosplay! You feel and look a lot like Spider-Gwen when you wear the suit. I actually got the "Into the Spider-Verse" Spider-Gwen suit (the variant without the printed shoe pattern) after around the same amount of time as your suit came and it is fantastic! I'm actually a male cosplayer, yet I was interested in cross-gender cosplaying, and I found that a Spider-Gwen cosplay was a great first start because I like the character.
My suit came with a detachable mask by default which is quite convenient, considering how much work it takes to zip up the hood of the suit. I also got a U-shape zipper (I find it preferable to the straight vertical back zipper because it's more comfy and interferes with the pattern less) and detachable gloves so I could use devices while wearing the suit. For some of my other suits, I tend to get forearm zippers and attached gloves (something I see other SG cosplayers do as well and it does look cleaner that way), but I decided on just the detachable gloves because I don't find it interferes with the pattern quite as much as with other suits and because I wanted the suit to have a different feeling from some of my other SM cosplays. In terms of shoes, I tend to alternate between a pair of leather ballet shoes (sadly I couldn’t find any blue ones that fit, I usually go with white ones to contrast with the black of the suit) and custom blue Converse shoes; having added footwear makes my cosplay truly feel complete.
At first it was very hard zipping up/unzipping the U zippers, and it feels kind of awkward rolling the sleeves up without them feeling super tight on my arms - a downside of having only detachable gloves. I was going to ask Herostime to add detachable gloves as well as forearm zippers for my suit sleeves, but for some reason I didn't let them now (probably because I didn't know how to confidently tell them about my interest in cosplaying as Spider-Gwen), oh well. Otherwise the suit feels like a dream, I feel like I'm Spider-Gwen when wearing the suit. I went to a cosplay convention recently and dressed in my SG cosplay a couple times and people praised my cosplay, which was encouraging! I'm glad I get to cosplay as SG and that she is a popular character in media. I wish you the best of luck with future cosplaying.

I recently ordered the Hero's Time Spider-Gwen Homecoming suit with custom sizing, so I was just curious whether or not you ordered yours with custom sizing? Also did you order it with a "Tight" fit or a "Standard" fit? For future reference, I also made sure to note that I had small hands with short fingers, and I've heard they will normally will fix the gloves for you if you make sure to tell them that.

I did do custom sizing, from past experience in getting things made elsewhere it's the only way to go! At the time they didn't have the tight or standard fit options, it was just the custom size. I am ordering another costume from them so I'll be sure to note for the gloves, thanks for the tip!

Hi! I came across your video as it was posted on Herostime's facebook page. I'm curious to know what made you want to pick Spider-Gwen for a cosplay? Anyway, I have to say that you look amazing in the suit, it fits you perfectly. I'm personally not a fan of detachable gloves (although I get the practical aspect) as I find that it doesn't look as nice as with attached gloves from an "aesthetical" point of view, but it's a detail of course. Regarding the mask, have you considered using a face-shell? It would solve the problem with the makeup. I'm subscribing to your channel, to encourage you :).

Hey there! Thank you, I'm was so excited to receive this suit :D I chose her because I recently started reading her comics and loved them so naturally I had to do a cosplay.
The detachable gloves were a big decision point for me, since I agree the lines really don't look very nice, but I opted to go with convenience this go-round. Not being able to use my phone without taking the whole suit off during a convention didn't seem that fun to me, haha!
I also haven't heard of a face shell before, I just googled it and thank you so much for letting me know about those! I think I'll make one for spider-gwen it would help out exponentially!

Thank you for your feedback on my comment. I am SO glad that my comment proved to be useful to you (for the part about face shells)! Of course, you have to take into account that the face shell is going to take up some space in the mask so you'll have to see whether there's enough space left/stretch in the fabric to wear the mask with a face shell. A last little tip: face shells sold by costume makers tend to get pricey but you can just try to find a cheap spiderman (sturdy) plastic mask at costumes shops, it should do the job for a much cheaper price. Good luck on your "quest" for a face shell ;).
