Rolls-Royce Phantom VI

To celebrate the launch of the new Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII we're taking a look at each generation of cars to bear the illustrious name. This is the sixth generation; this particular car being the state limousine of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II from 1978 to 2002.

I had the dubious pleasure of being embroiled in that strike, as a Coachmaker for MPW at that time. A strike created by Management so that the roof on the main plant could be repaired minus the workforce. As soon as the roof was completed the stike quickly came to an end. If I recall correctly it went on for 16 weeks. Not fun.
