Being a Pixel user I'm like sheesh that's a lot of work to have a phone similar to mine. However it's very worth it and similar if you don't have a Pixel. Really cool love the customization android offers.

Lawnchair is the ABSOLUTE PERFECT launcher but the only thing keeping me from switching to it is the absence of a listed drawer style, like the ones present in xos launcher and microsoft launcher
My issue is the lack of animations that oneui native gives you or the pixel itself. 3rd party launchers are janky sometimes.

Is there an app to modify icons individually? Some Icons are not covered by the Pixel U light/dark icon pack...And, is there a way to change the notification shade to pixel 12 look? I own a OP 9 Pro, and I'm trying to customize it to pixel 12 style with Lawnchair 12 without rooting...

Switched from OnePlus to Moto Edge X30. I am now enjoying MyUI 3.0's stock Android experience. Beautiful and smooth.
I too have two OnePlus devices, and each time they update, we stray even far away from OxygenOS.
And I'm suprised seeing bloatware now on O2 as well 💔

The thing is Lawnicons actually has 192 icons. It applies to many other apps that are on the home screen.
As of now, it actually has 1851 icons!

@@Telosicomejor In fact, my main reason for switching from MIUI to a custom Rom was the initially poor battery life of MIUI 12. I currently consume 10% per hour with the screen active and 1% per hour in standby mode. But I also have mobile data on all the time.

I thought the reason other OEMs don't have a lot of these pixel exclusive features is because Google hasn't made them open source yet. Everything I read said things like dynamic color wouldn't be made open source until the Android 12.1 update. Even Samsung's implementation of dynamic theming doesn't use material you.

I'm currently on Miui 13 where dynamic theming is a thing.
Just today I changed my wallpaper to something red/pink and that color carried over to every Google app I have, including messages, Gmail, Photos, Keep etc
Google basically stopped making their features open source, it's not a question of when, rather if they ever do it. They only open source what they absolutely need to, mostly the things that require app developers to do something (like material you colors, which no app would adapt if it was only available on Pixel).
With Nexus, they wanted to give Android OEMs ideas for good new features. With Pixel, they compete with OEMs and restrict features that absolutely don't have to be restricted.
Is samsung implementation isn't material u? Now i understand why oneui has less apps to support monet icon even after the 5.1 updates.
material you isn't a software it's a design phylosophy that Google created. although the implementation is open source since I'm on phh treble and it has material design

Well for Xiaomi Devices doesnt't work that great, because by default the system disables gesture navigation when another launcher is active. Also there's a bug with recent apps when you use another launcher as well :((

I got my 8T months ago and when i hear news about merging OnePlus and Oppo, my backup plan is to custom ROM my phone.
Sad to say that OOS is kinda not stock Android feels like before. But OnePlus 8T with custom ROM is so smooth added with gcam mods
Can we flash or get OnePlus camera app in stock rom.
And can you also tell me that is there would be any problem after flashing the custom rom.

3:05 Honestly, I don't really like the themed icons that much. When trying to find the app you're looking forz the color of the app also helps to find it. If every app is the same color then it will be much harder finding it. Not that I don't like the themed icons, it looks great to the eye, but functionality and practical wise, not so great

What he says works.... Even if you have miui devices. But if you are a fan of full screen gestures ( that is without the bottom buttons ) then prepare to lose it since miui's full screen gestures only works with their own launcher and forces us to change to their launcher if we have chosen a new one like Nova or lawnchair or any third-party launcher.
There is indeed a way to have full screen gestures even after changing launcher. That's by downloading another third party app. But there also you have to grant access to multiple permissions

I've been using Nova Launcher since my Samsung Note (2?) days (I'm now on Pixel). Thus my UI really hasn't changed much even when I change phone OEM.
