Baby caiques and Conure play time

- The babies are a good 8 weeks old now. They are so very sweet and playful right now!! The oldest baby has been flying for a couple of days now and I am sure the other two will be flying soon also.
Sugar and Jenny both have families now. We are very happy about that...but I sure am going to miss these little angels!! I don't think there will ever be another baby like Sugar. I have sure enjoyed her personality. As you can see in this video she is very maternal and caring and seems to really want to care for her little siblings. She is going to a home and will have a big sister named Kiwi. Kiwi's family has a youtube channel if you want to check it out.... / kiwikorner

I think it is wonderful that Rita named Sugar. We personally LOVE the name, and it does fit her. Some of our 3 dogs were named by their breeders/families before they came to live with us. One of the names we kept, one we changed. No worries. It just means that these babies are all truly loved by each family that raises them! :)

So cute and Mama is cautious and maybe "jealous!" In my case with my Tiels it is Dad that gets uppity with me. Perhaps because I got him as a year and a half bird where Mame I got and finished weaning her at 30 days. More trust there.

AWWW I love this, love the way you are making the birds confident and happy. Ive only ever had 'rescue' birds but this clip makes me want to buy a baby from a proper breeder. Right now I have an 18 yr old Rosella an hope he cant read this lol . Thanks

awe, they are adorable. It looks like so much fun to raise a whole clutch like that. I have a six month old pineapple conure that I handfed from 5 weeks and I know it's so much more work from day one but I was just so sad when she stopped wanting me to feed her though. thank you for the cute video. :)

Oh you will definitely get to follow Sugar as she grows up. We will be posting lots of videos! And I did see her beaking your fingers. She is too funny! Now that she will be a younger sister (by a month), I wonder if she will let Kiwi "mother" her? LOL!

Sweet little guys. Caiques are very rare and hard to come by in Australia (never seen one in a pet shop, but there are breeders), but Conures are well known. Total clowns!
step up is a trick, and should be learned. They obviously don't do that naturally.

Jendays and Sun conures are the most brightly colored, and typically the loudest of conures. Do you make people aware of this before selling them? We get people relinquishing them because of this.
