I just came back to Aion to realize Morheim is gone?? :( Morheim was always so special for me with the music.Sometimes i just sat there and chatted wirth my ingamefriends..Im actually quite sad about that.
yeah , i love morheim so much, i afk at there when i am studying, just to listen to the background music and enjoy the scenery ...... i quit Aion after they removed this map, it hurts me so much :(
Same ... I just downloaded Aion again today because Morheim had such a special atmosphere. Altgard too... when I ended up at Beluslan I knew something was wrong. Guess I can deinstall Aion again later :c
@@Katriicat just download aion destiny
your experience is similar as mine :'), missing the days when I played on weekends taking break after tiring school works ;_;
Many memories, many hardships were destroyed the day Morheim was gone. For what? End game treadmills? Sometimes going from Start to max level is the fun. The journey rather than the destination as many wise folk say.
This map is very special for me.I miss it so much *-* and thank you for this video ☺
me too. my fav. City. i like snow and ice.

Loved this song, still catch myself whistling this tune from time to time.
I miss the old Aion guys. I wish it came back one day. like the old days ^^
Aion classic EU coming bud :p
They removed this place? This is where all daevas learn to use their wings...it’s just so nostalgic, the excitement of realizing you are in for a long exciting game. Just these soundtracks make me wish for a simpler time. Damn man. QQ
i know that feeling and this mean that everything have a start and the end.
Now they are deleting Vengar and change Gelkmeros for level 76-80.
Only levelling maps are Ishalgen/Beluslan and Poeta/Heiron. Then boom you're level 80 without Reshanta, Kralls and Maus!! :((
Hi I'm back on my Aion-bs. Just need to write out some thoughts while I'm feeling heavy nostalgia:
I like how Morheim and Eltnen feel so distinct and different from each other, especially music-wise. Let me explain:
My first toon was an Elyos. For those who have played Elyos, you may know that the first zones of Elysea generally have very peaceful/soft areas and music. Of course there are some heavier tracks as well, but generally it all feels very fairytale like.
As an Elyos, you often hear in the game how Asmodians are monsters, who live in dark, hopeless lands with no warmth or sun. Everything is touched by doom. So imagine my surprise when I first rifted to Morheim as a lowbie Elyos ranger, and heard this soundtrack: beautiful, peaceful, a little sad but still soft. If freshly-fallen snow had a sound, it'd be this. From that moment on, my whole perspective on Asmodea had changed, and I think it's safe to say that this particular music pushed me to make an Asmodian toon.
The funny thing is, the same thing applies to Eltnen as well: as an Asmodian, you keep hearing about how Elyseans are all spineless p*ssies with no honour. So then you rift to Eltnen (fortress), and you hear this deafening, proud choir blasting through you speakers or headphones. Since my first toon was an Elyos, I can't say for sure what Asmodian players first thought while entering Eltnen, but I'd guess it be something along the lines of "Oh, shit."
So yeah. The music of Morheim and Eltnen fortress are both masterpieces. They give both factions a glimpse of the enemy, and while it enforces some stereotypes (Elyos being 'obnoxious and loud/proud' and Asmodians being 'dark and gloomy beasts'), both musical pieces also break these stereotypes; ("Oh, wow Asmodae is beautiful..." / "Oh, wow this place is BIG and not to be fucked with.")
great analysis! Something also more subtle, Asmodian music tends to carry a slight 'sad' tone/melancholy (minors) - whereas Elyos tend to be an upbeat tone (majors).
As the antithesis , Asmodian Assassin to Eltnen from Morheim, Azphelumbra. When I first heard about elyos prior it was of them being lucky, dev favored, and lore favored. The story did well to drive you to seek pvp with the sunbathed folk. Entering Eltnen for the first time you see the lush green land, beautiful lake surrounding the fort, and hear that amazing chorus when you enter from the cliffs, it almost drives that envy even more. However, when you go past the Temple to the swamp you'd see past the lore a bit, with the slimes and murky water.
If you were able to go past the swamp and rift jump past the npc guard death squad corridor you saw vast and massive drought that was Eracus Desert. Expansive and even more open than Salintus, lots of lost and lonely elyos there, you would see the repercussions of excessive sunlight. It goes even further when you'd later enter Heiron. The jungle with its massive and aggressive fona. The aggro circles were slightly bigger, or so it felt.
This track though in Morheim, it definitely made the snow colder, the world darker and more still. Its Morheim where you have to take the flight test and learn the asmodian side of the Cataclysm story. It did well to push you to seek a sort of blind vengeance and go to Reshanta. The Morheim Ice Fortress and this track......the quiet and simple beginnings before the wrath. Definitely felt the sorrow of Asmodians past.
@@kingdom9537 Azphelumbra, Daeva. Thank you for your lovely comment. It's very interesting to me to hear how other people experienced this stark contrast!
This was a pleasure to read
My favourite map; Morheim is such a diverse and haunting place. It has cold deserts, fiery vulcanoes, poisonous groves,.. and peaceful planes of snow. Absolutely love it.
Evi Waclawski yes, morheim mysterious land from fairytales
... and now it’s gone forever :c I wanna cry
Nostalgia. 💙😭
I was an Elyos, and I had the privilege of raiding this place as a lvl 50 assassin. I was able to come here through a quest that I "should" have done while low level. I stayed here for a few nights, creeping up on innocent unsuspecting victims. Huhuhuhaha
I miss this zone QQ
Me too!
Aion Classic !
I logged in last night, I wanted to go back to play after 2 years off. The first thing I did once inside the game, and go to the teleport to go to morehim. I felt terrible.
I wanted to hangout at the Mt. Musphel, well never ever again
I had the same feeling brother
why ......why did they remove it....
:(
"for story" bullcrap excuse like they did with the other zones they removed
If I was asked what game map I'd choose as my home, I'd say it would be Morheim fortress.
Same for me too :( I miss Morheim so much!
Been revisting these OSTs, and I've been paying closer attention to the videos itself: once every while, you can see (super tiny) players dashing by in the background and idk why but it made me giggle the first time I noticed it.
Thank you so much
i still love the bgm from here. i miss parts of the game, but not too much.
Guys, there are a lot of private servers that run an old version of the game... I'm writing this so you don't feel so sad bcs old Aion is gone. You can always find a private server and revive your memories.
as a light force, i used to wander in this wild, seeking low-level opponents and swipe them, then run into the ice, again and again
I love it 💙

What did you guys main?
I was a Sin, just like removing the maps.
