      Deplorable Centrist I recently had to have a pet put to sleep....
      Eva was a wonderful wonderful dog.
      Smart, loving and polite.
      I miss her.
      I got her as a rescue, she was a pit bull that was abused, so I made damn sure the last 10 years of her life she was pampered and wanted for nothing.
      She never once offered to harm anyone, she loved to scare the local cats out of their minds, but she never harmed one, mostly because Pit bulls give cats super speed and wings!
      I miss that dog.

      @@ianstradian I know the feeling. We rescued all but one of our pets. At one time we had 5 dogs and 4 cats, all living in a 2 bedroom house with us.The cats had the front bedroom all to themselves One cat lived to be almost 21. We lost 3 pets in one year, because they were old or got sick, and it hurts everytime, but the love we got back from all of them helped ease that pain. Now we just have 4 dogs----three terriers and a chocolate lab. They're our furry kids.

      It's sad to say, but he did the right thing getting Kody while Levi is still with us, as it will lessen the blow of Levis eventual passing ever so slightly. It still makes me sad thinking about my dogs that died over the years, but they are a joy to have in your life, and that's the price you have to pay. I heard a story about a man who had black Labs. When one died he got anoth and gave it the same name treating it like the same dog. His way of coping I guess.

    Love how it came out! You have to paint the roof or the rusty water is just gonna run off and splash on everything below. plus it will repel the water off the roof faster without settling on the iron. Like this comment if you think Andrew Should Paint the Roof!!

      If the roof doesn't get painted, it will rust through or even de-laminate in time. I'd hate to try finding a pinhole rust point in all those welded seams to stop a small leak in years ahead. All that would take some years to happen though.

    • @roddypryce454
      @roddypryce454 Před 4 lety +19

      I think Andrew should paint the roof.
      If it was copper it would form a green patina and be stable but the iron will keep on rusting and pinholes will eventually appear on the surface over time.
      That’s why they paint cars and tractors etc.

At the time it was a death sentence, so he decided to spend his remaining time building his daughter a castle. The castles anything but ordinary, it’s definitely worth a visit if you get the chance. Hey I watch every video and I believe you are doing a great job. Here’s an idea for your new roof. Instead of steel walls put up glass walls. Check out your local glass installation places and see if they have glass that was ordered for a project that changed and now they are stuck with the obsolete glass.
    It happens all the time.

    One has to been watching Andrew and his cadre of friends work on the Container Castle from beginning to finish painting to really appreciate the work ethic involved.Andrew had an idea, a dream, and he and they worked their collective butts off to accomplish the structure. To have watched them as they erected the steel framing for the roof was for me a knuckle knawing time.He and they deserve a design award in the calibre of the Pritzker. Plus a trophy from a national welding association. Andrew, many thanks to you for the many hours you put into the production of the build.and the pleasure it gave to me to watch it slowly take shape. An idea for a next project......an elevator for Levi.
