Every time I hear this break my brain automatically adds the pulsating bass line from Squarepushers Beep Street
This video was a real face palm moment for me. I know both songs and never made the connection until today.
Photek was the master of this break
That break is so “hard normal daddy”.
James Brown's 'Soul Pride' breakbeat was used in 'Activity' by Unique 3 in 1991 (pre-jungle). This might've been the first time it was used in an uptempo track with bass. I used Unique 3's 'Activity' in a megamix I did in 1991 which got played on national radio!
For 'S' I was hoping for 'Sesame Street' by Blowfly, the original is very rude! It's fun trying to guess the rude word for the next letter. 😂
Tomorrow gotta be ‘Think about it’
never loose the one....
Soul Pride + Amen = Ray Keith
We should have had betting going for this. I would have lost putting my money on sniper. Great stuff this
my fav
using the free s(M)exoscope VST would give a waveform visual of you closing the gaps.... maybe an idea... maybe.
Thanks for the suggestion - I'm so bad at hearing this stuff!
So hard to decide between this and sesame street aarrrggghjhhh
Pit stop at Beep Street
Bloody fucking hartcore... Mokum Rex old school choisen few
Most versatile break ever?

It should have been synthetic substitution!!!
