I was afraid of rides until last year. It was oct and halloween. Wife came up with a way to get me on rides and this ride. She dared me and i don,t turn dares down. She dared me to wear one of her outfits and go on ride. ( outfit was her leather leggings, a silk top , her leather jacket and a pair of her leather boots ) while wearing her outfit i walked up to ride and got on and laid down. I was locked in and the ride started. The wife said look at me wearing her clothes. I laughed the whole ride and did it.
I love this ride! I went on with my sister and her friend and they got dizzy ! LOL. I love the ride. It goes pretty high up too so it's a bit of a thrill :D
i built that ride. i worked for the manufacturer. there were only 2 of these cliffhangers in operation when i went to work for dartron industries here in salem oregon. i was the assembler. i put together every nut bolt pin and hydraulics on every cliffhanger after the first 2 were built. i cut out every one of those pieces of black ABS plastic you lay on and shaped them to fit the cars. and no my name is not Jose and no i am not mexican. i can show you my resume if you think i am lying.

Sarah Mash they won't let you do this. but we used to do it at the factory. turn over on your back and ride upside down. that's always a fun ride looking up at the sky while riding. we used to do it all the time like that. but because of insurance and safety reasons the carnivals and fairs won't let you ride it like that.
Sarah Mash we actually have one of those cliff hangers at our state fair right now gong on for the next 2 weeks. but i don't go to the fair unless it's for a concert. and i rode enough rides while building them. i built them, i should get to ride for free.
Sarah Mash it's supposed to sort of simulate a hang glider. but it really isn't like that. especially when going in circles. remember where we started this conversation? it was talking about the hadron colider in your country. i am a scientist
Sarah Mash ok. but that hadron colider is actually a good thing. it's being used wrong i have drawn some rough sketches of how to use it the way we need to use it for our benefit. the problem is i don't have enough technical data and engineering data to figure out how to make it work for what we need it to do
omg this is my favorite ride at my fair that comes every year :D!!!!!! i go on it every time but i always go in the middle cuz i feel safer... but its so fun

nice and relaxing ride :) even though the force kind of pushes your chest down to the board you are laying on, it is still relaxing and fun :)
