Marco and Rafael, once again a great podcast! It's great to see you both relaxing with a glass of wine! Your podcasts have been very helpful to me in preparing my Jure Sanguinis case. Many thanks to you both!

Hi Rafael and Marco, finally after months of lockdown in Melbourne Australia, I have an appointment with the Italian consulate for riacquisto cittadinanza per residenza.

Nice to see the two of you at a table street-side enjoying a glass of vino tinto in beautiful Roma!

I find it fascinating that jure sangunis dates back to ancient Roman times. I’m waiting on the consulate in Miami to approve my application but there is a possibility that I will be purchasing property in Italy prior to the approval.

Hi Marco, I noticed that your name and picture are on the Italian Dual Citizenship website. Are you the founder of that company too?

Rafael. Love these podcasts. I have a telephone call with Marco in January. If I cannot get some paperwork here in the US will Marco help me with that??

I started to collect my documents last year, now I have all of them but they will be older than two years next year, are they still ok?

    On Spouses:
21:55 "spouses... they're also allowed to stay, but it depends on the area in which the application is filed...."
Marco: In the case of an American applying for Italian Citizenship through Jure Sanguinis, did you mean to say that there are areas in Italy that DO allow their spouse to stay? If so, can you be more specific about which jurisdictions might allow a non-Italian spouse to stay while the Italian spouse files for Jure Sanguinis in Italy?

That’s correct. In some areas the residency permit is extended to the spouse. In the area where we operate, that’s the case.

How is it possible to go through the consulate? They aren't even open to schedule an appointment.

Can you please advise if my Italian birth certificate I received back in May 2020 from the comune I was born in is ok to bring to Italian consulate appointment as well as my Australian citizenship which shows when my father became an Australian citizen in 1979 and has my name on it as well as a minor at the time, the receipt of which i will be paying the Ministero Italiano for the Euro 250 for Italian citizenship and my valid Australian passport. This is so I can initiate reacquisition of citizenship before leaving Australia which I intend to do if I get an exemption from Australian government by March 2021. Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance.
