  • October 16, 2020 - A silage of corn cob and chopped fodder beets at 'De Woerd' dairy.
    The following equipment are used:
    - Thyregod TR9 mobile beet cleaner (contractor Stokkers).
    - Fendt Farmer 305 tractor with Profi Chop mobile beet chopper (contractor Stokkers).
    - Komatsu WA270 wheel loader with bucket (contractor Olminkhof).
    - Claas Jaguar 940 forage harvester with Capello corn head (contractor Timmerije).
    - Massey Ferguson 3085 tractor with Schuitemaker Siwa forage wagon.
    - Massey Ferguson 3120 tractor with Schuitemaker Siwa forage wagon.
    - Volvo L60G wheel loader with skeleton bucket (contractor Timmerije).

    Great feed we have done that and mixed beet pulp and some straw to absorb moisture from the beet it’s absolute rocket fuel for milking cows

    Hello, first of all i want to say thank you, this video study many people new fodder crop for cattle. And i have one question, why did they dont wash beets, there are lot of soil on that, many specialist talk, that soil in the feed is very dangerous for beef and sheep? thank you

      These beets are cleaned dry, most soil is removed. I think it's too expensive to wash the beets.

    Looks more like sugar beets, no ? Ok, normally they put fodder beet in the silo ... :-)
